Top 20 Melee Players Nation Wide!! *Opinions and Debate*

I wanna hear everyone's oppinions, and maybe arguements about it.

My list goes like this:

After hearing everyone else's opinions. I altered my list. Because a lot of statements were true, and there are a lot of good players.

Anyone like this list better? Its come from what I've learned today.
Also, beyond top 5, A lot of high level players are pretty even.

Ken doesn't even play anymore. How can he possibly be on this list. And I doubt Isai would be up there either. I'm pretty sure the field has caught up to him in melee since he last played competitively.

What about Jman?

So... they can lock it?

I didn't do anything wrong. I just wanted to hear peoples opinions, I'm not that educated in whose good and whose not. I just named the people I think are extremely good.

And I think ken and isai could hold their own with any of the above.

i will say that falcomist and silent wolf should not be on the list

idk who axe is (my ignorance speaking, but i think ive been here long enough to know, at least, who is top 20)

jman should be somewhere on the list

ken should not be on the list

isai hasnt played in so long

idk how much debate this will spark considering the OP, unless he is willing to adjust to whatever the highest ranking players might suggest

When you say torunament results..this includes like more than California, Washington and AZ right? Becuase to me it doesn't look like it.

Yea, its all west coast tournaments, and thanks for the Opinions.

And crystal, Axe is a Pika and Falco who beats forward on a regular basis.

I forgot Darkrain, he defenently needs to be on there.

I've never seen Jman play, I'll look him up.

i think if darkrain is there, jman should also be there. he beat darkrain at event 52

It's not really about the actual order of people and the people on there (which is pretty bad, btw) but just the overall idea of it. Really, on what criteria are you judging that somebody who's in 19th place is better than somebody in 20th place when the difference is so small? Plus, the list really has no point anyway.

People make threads like this periodically. I dont see a problem with it.

His opinion of the players is just as legitimate as your opinion of this thread being "dumb."

The OP has the right to be considered "dumb" or "wrong."

It's not out of line and hes willing to change up the list according to someone "less dumb"

i think this thread is a good idea, people can show their opinions on who they think could be top 20. apparantly there's no official list, just opinionated ones. so if you think another player should be on this list, go ahead and voice your opinion.

The problem is, that threads like these pop up every few weeks, and they always turn to flame threads and WC vs EC threads, its inevitable.

There's no official list because there's no national circuit like there use to be, so it's harder for there to not be bias in a national ranking. Even the few national rankings that existed were controversial.

Axe, you are beast, btw. Good **** all the time.


Ken I don't think plays anymore, he does like...real life things now.

I'm rather shocked at some of you guys. Rather than post your top 20s and give opinions and arguments and general intelligent discussion. Most of you just assumed this would turn out bad and turned this into a civil debate. If this thread derails again I'll probably have to close it but I think it does have potential. What's wrong with a little bias? After the top 4 or so it is pretty much all bias.

Axe, who here really doesn't love melee ^_^ that's why we're here right?

Arc: I would have alot more faith in this thread if I hadn't seen it before. How is this any different than the USA vs Japan rematch? all we had was people saying different people should be in it cuz tehy were better but with no real proof, only the regional bias. after all the flaming was done it just became silly. dunno that's just my opinion on things.
