We are the least completed out of the entire chart. This makes me feel bad. I'd personally rather give people an objective of how we feel characters are (rather accurately) and let people figure out matchups on their own if they want more details or something....

Now, without even having to explain your reasoning (make your ratio reasonable...) I'd just like you to put the ratio's next to every character.

Even though I'm posting these, I still disagree with some of them, and I know the future isn't so bright for Snake's matchups. As time passes, more and more characters will have slight advantages against Snake, although I don't think it'll ever be too extreme. People just don't understand how to fight him right now.

Whoops, my mistake. Too many 60:40s, I got so used to them I put it down as 70:40, lol.

I really thing the Wario matchup needs more scrutiny. Same with ROB. I think Wario may counter us (especially on their counterpicks), and ROB doesn't seem all that bad to me.

And I'm SURE there's more than 3 high-mid-lowish character that goes 50:50 / counters us than Oli, ROB, and ZSS, we just don't test enough. I think DK might be a candidate for that.

Anyhoo, I can wax poetic in AIM if I have to.

yeah, CF is unusually good against snake for how bad he is otherwise, it's harder to camp him than most, I see him as being a lot like sonic, his raw tools aren't that good but he has a ton of mindgame potential and can generally just be kind of a douche.

and I'm aware of that, I still think it's slightly in DDD's favor, although like wario, we'll see how this dthrow thing develops(practice tech chasing DDD on reaction snake's!). If it works consistently for a lot of people then it could blow the matchup wide open in snake's favor. and a lot of my opinions are strange like that, most ROBs would disagree with me there too <_<

Oli's can eventually KO you (purple) and down-B solves the "killing" him aspect.

Also with his air speed, it's not to hard to avoid grenades.... and Snake is a lot less mobile, and he stales his moves trying to knock off pikmin.

Just to point out a few things for AC. Olimar is build in a way that Snake cannot hardly confront him one on one easily in CQC. Pikmin grabs outrange any move he does. And it doesn't help when olimar can fire off more pikmin against Snake than he can cook and damage olimar. Thus Olimar generates a lot of damage while not getting killed. And even if olimar does approach, it's not that difficult for him to evade snake's attacks and punish him when considering the huge range on the attacks. Plus, if Olimar is doing things correctly, a grab from him should mean at least a combo into some other move.

So overall, Olimar has more than enough tools to combat anything Snake has. The mess up on his part is choosing the wrong tool for the situation. Such as grabbing when we might roll leading into us Ftilting him.

Which is odd when he is lax about not fighting the issue with the MU against Falco. I think SuSa just knows the MU too well and really hasn't had too much of a challenge from people regarding it.

Even though I'm posting these, I still disagree with some of them, and I know the future isn't so bright for Snake's matchups. As time passes, more and more characters will have slight advantages against Snake, although I don't think it'll ever be too extreme. People just don't understand how to fight him right now.

Ally and I have discussed the D3 matchup at length, and we definitely feel that is in D3's advantage slightly. If D3 messes up, he'll take ~21 damage. If Snake messes up, he'll take ~60+ damage depending on the D3's read after the final Dthrow. Snake players have to play carefully and perfectly to make the matchup even.

I think Falco may be 60-40 Snake right now, but I think it will take more time and progression in the metagame before that becomes a solid number.

I think Snake beats Olimar but I put it at 50-50 just because everyone else thinks its so bad for Snake for some reason. I've never really struggled against an Olimar player. With very little Oli experience, I played the best Olimar player in the country at Genesis in like 15 games, and I won most of them. Although those were just friendlies (and you can't base much off of friendlies), it gave me enough insight into the high-level matchup between the characters to understand that its not NEARLY as bad as some of you make it out to be.

agreed on each point. I really feel the match up with falco is 60-40. Even if you have trouble in the match up(with like the chaingrab) you just give yourself some damage and beat them down. It isn't a problem what so ever.

If your judging anything against a character known for his severe camp game off of friendlies, you're going to a have a severely flawed perception.

i would definately say that this list is accurate. except for the sheik. i play against a really good sheik who goes even with my snake and almost took out afro thunder in a tourney match. afro pulled it out though with the utilts in the end though like he always does.

I was beating that camping game. Friendlies can only tell you so much, and aren't a great indicator of individual player skill, but they give insight into matchups.

Look, I'm not going to argue about this matchup. Everyone seems to think its horrid for some reason, but I don't understand why. So I'll just keep doing my own thing and continue to ignore matchup ratios posted on character boards, which is what most tournament players do.

I was beating that camping game. Friendlies can only tell you so much, and aren't a great indicator of individual player skill, they give insight into matchups.

Look, I'm not going to argue about this matchup. Everyone seems to think its horrid for some reason, but I don't understand why. So I'll just keep doing my own thing and continue to ignore matchup ratios posted on character boards, which is what most tournament players do.

If you ever feel like it, just post your reasons why you feel it's an even Match-up instead of saying you don't understand why people think it's horrid. When someone deviates from others it's best to show others your views. Like SuSa does with the Falco MU. I was unsure at all about how the MU went. But now I'm convinced for sure that it's 55-45 Snake's favor. I've still not seen enough to think it's 60-40 though.
