After a night of testing and destroying my finger from DI'ing Lucas' Down-Throw, I've been able to get the most accurate list of Lucas' Down-throw to U-tilt percentages and when it will work WITH DI on every character. The results are very strange.

Impossible to Hit with DI:
Character: Percent: Direction of DI:
Peach: X (DI'd Behind)
Donkey Kong: X (DI'd Behind)
Diddy Kong: X (DI'd Behind)
Link: X (DI'd Behind)
Sheik: X (DI'd Behind)
Zelda: X (DI'd Behind)
Ganondorf: X (DI'd Behind)
Toon Link: X (DI'd Behind)
Zero Suit Samus: X (DI'd Behind)
Pit: X (DI'd Behind)
Meta-Knight: X (DI'd Behind)
Fox: X (DI'd Behind)
Wolf: X (DI'd Behind)
Captain Falcon: X (DI'd Behind)
Pikachu: X (DI'd Behind)
Marth: X (DI'd Behind)
Ness: X (DI'd Behind)
Lucas: X (DI'd Behind)
Sonic: X (DI'd Behind)

Possible to Hit with at Lower Percents
Character: Percent: Direction of DI:
Yoshi: 1 (DI'd Forward)
Kirby: 1 (DI'd Behind)
Falco: 4 (DI'd Foward)
Squirtle: 1 (DI'd Behind)
Lucario: 3 (DI'd Behind)
Mario: 6 (DI'd Behind)
Luigi: 6 (DI'd Behind)
Olimar: 8 (DI'd Behind)
Jigglypuff: 9 (DI'd Behind)
Snake: 6 (DI'd Behind)

Possible to Hit with at Moderate Percents
Character: Percent: Direction of DI:
Bowser: 17 (DI'd Behind)
Wario: 12 (DI'd Behind)
Solo Popo: 15 (DI'd Forward)
ROB: 17 (DI'd Behind)
Kind Dedede: 14 (DI'd Forward)
Charizard: 15 (DI'd Behind)
Ivysaur: 17 (DI'd Behind)

Mr. Game and Watch
Character: Percent: Direction of DI:
Gdubs: 23 (DI'd Behind)

are these the last possible percentages where it would be possible to hit the enemy with dthrow to utilt?

like, if G&W is at 23%, you grab and dthrow him, then utilt, you'll hit him with the utilt? but at like, 24% it no longer works?

I'm not a 100% certain what these numbers mean. can you enlighten me?

So what do we do if we grab someone from 11% - 154% where dthrow can neither kill nor chain?
You use another throw :3

That is exactly what these are.
If the Gdubs is at twentyfour d-throw to u-tilt is not gaurenteed.

well, this is really useful data then. the G&W one is pretty surprising, i'd expect him to be one of the first ones out. The only observation I can make concerning the data is that most of the ones who stay in for longer periods of time are either floaty or heavy. One that really surprises me is fox however.

good stuff

Lightweights are usually the easiest characters to reliably combo off of throws since you gain more advantage frames due to your throws ending sooner.

D-throw -> aerial at low percents is also worthwhile, I've seen NinjaLink do that.
