(UPDATED 3/23)The Ohio Circuit - Next event Apr 10, Baro's Bday!

Welcome to the home of The Ohio Circuit, a circuit for competitive players of Super Smash Brothers Brawl in Ohio. This circuit will help foster competition and improvement for every participant by keeping an active tally of tournament records and by ranking players with circuit points. The inaugural season of The Ohio Circuit ran and was successfully completed between August 29th - December 5th, 2009. Our second season will get kick started on January 23rd in Columbus, Ohio! The season will run from January through May and will conclude with a championship event. Last season we gave out $5,890 in prizes for Brawl in just 11 events! 31 different players won money in the deepest payouts for events in the country. No other circuit is run as smoothly and with as many top quality TO's as The Ohio Circuit.

Special Announcements
March 12th, 2010 - Another 4 events have been added to the schedule, bringing the total events for the season at 11! The points and money list for the first 6 events are up to date. Finally, you can view the full results for the first 6 events at the bottom, along with brackets and pool results for the first 5 events.

January 14th, 2010 - I'm proud to announce the second season of The Ohio Circuit will take place this year! We have already organized and set up the first seven events in what will likely be a 15 event tour of the state of Ohio from the end of January through May. I hope everyone can make it out to at least a few events this season and that we can grow our community with new and returning players alike! Just in case you missed it, you can still check out your final rank by viewing here!

December 6th, 2009 - Points and money lists are updated through all eleven events. These represent the final standings for the inaugural season of The Ohio Circuit. Thank you to everyone who came out! Stay tuned for information on the 2010 circuit!

Points
For each event you attend you will receive points based on how you place! The higher you place, the more points you receive. Points will be accessed after the results for each event are posted and future events will use the points from previous events for seeding. If a tournament fails to reach a minimum of 16 singles entrants and 8 teams entrants then the points for singles and doubles will be halved (with points for top 8 and top 4, respectively).

Each circuit event will collect an entry fee for Brawl Singles and Doubles. This entry fee will then be distributed to the winners according to the tables below. In the Ohio Circuit we pay out to 5th place regardless of the size of the event because we believe any player achieving top 5 at an event has earned a reward.

The Ohio Circuit Opener had 30 Singles entrants and 9 Doubles Entrants and paid out money to 11 different players (~1/3 of the entrants).

The next event is OC#2 - Nopes Monthly, being held this Saturday, January 30th 2010 in Springfield Ohio.
