Teams:

There are also discounts for the venue fee.

TV is $2 discount
Cube is $1 discount
Power strip is $1 discount

The discounts stack so if you bring TV + Cube or anyone other combinations, they add together. If it carries over into the negatives then I'll contribute to your singles fee.

I will only give you the discount for your cube/tv once it's matched up with a cube/tv and up and running.

PLEASE HAVE YOUR VENUE FEE READY WHEN YOU REACH THE VENUE!

4. Be respectful of the lady who sits at the desk because she works there (although all she does is play WoW).
5. Don't be too rowdy!

Melee Rules​

* Stage Striking is in effect and first person to strike is decided by Rock-Paper-Scissors
* Items are set to off
* The stock is set to 4
* 8:00 Timer
* All sets are best of 3 matches
* All Semi-Finals are best of 5 matches
* All Finals are best of 5 matches
* In the event of a dispute, controller ports will be selected by Rock-Paper-Scissors
* No player may choose the stage they last won on
* Ties will be broken by lives, then percentage. In the event of a percentage tie, one stock sudden death will be played
* The Ice Climber Freeze Glitch is banned even though it's funny.
* Jigglypuff's rising pound stall is banned
* Peach's bomber stall beneath levels where she is unreachable is banned.
* Masterhand is banned
* Wobbling is banned
* Any stage can be played upon as long as both players agree.
* Loser gets to choose (counterpick lol) their opponent's character color.

* Blind Picks character selection.
* Stage Striking: Players eliminate stages from the Starter Stage List until only 1 remains, and the players then play the first match on that stage. Players strike stages in 1 2 2 1 order.
* The first match is played.
* Winning player of the preceding match bans a stage.
* The losing player of preceding match picks stage for the next match.
* The winning player of preceding match picks character.
* The losing player picks character.
* The next match is played.
* Repeat 4-8 for all consecutive matches as necessary until the set is complete.

Quick run through of changes.

I've seen some REALLY gay stuff on stadium over the past month and am taking it off neutrals.
FoD is a neutral again. You can all dance in joy. *confetti*

Alright, well I managed to figure out how my mic works (it's REALLY ****ing weird LOL). Basically this means that I can now have commentary on my videos. I'm just gonna put this out there but if you plan on doing commentary, please be good at it haha (Don't worry, I'm not gonna be on commentary ;D)

Final order of business: pools. This makes the tourney experience far more enjoyable for the lesser players as they get to play more tourney sets and won't have to worry about going 2 and out.

There are two things holding me back on deciding whether I should do this (well mostly one). The main thing is that we never usually start doubles until 1:30 because there is ALWAYS a car of really good people who arrive late
Basically, if you guys arrive on time for once then we can start doubles on time and then we can start pools at around 2-2:30 and finish at a DECENT TIME.

Second problem which is really small is that idk how big the bracket should be. A 16 man bracket that's semi-easy to get into or a rough and tough 8 man bracket? OR A HARDCORE 4 MAN BRACKET >=D
I kind of ramble on cuz I'm in one of those moods but make sure to read this post because IT'S IMPORTANT SON!

Im clueless as to how pools are gunna work but, watevr floats ur boat lol

Figure out pools at the tourney.

And I'll probably be at Level Up Series at the Block(Right next to Connors house) if my friend doesn't flake on me.

It's not really that big of a difference and will only effect the last couple of people who bring stuff.

Power strips are power strips though and you'll get a discount no matter what for those.

DATE CHANGE

Apparently the venue was booked for all of February so this has been bumped a week later to the 6th of march.

There's a chance that NorCal might be hosting a fairly big tournament that day, Phil+Brandon are trying to raise money to have DrPP come out.

That will likely detract from your attendance.

Just letting you know..

Unless massive carpools are formed I think it should be fine.

If not I'll try and change it.

If pp goes I'd expect at least two cars from socal with most of Socal's top players wanting to go. You'd still get a decent attendance, but when top players don't support a tournament it tends to lower overall participation.

If enough funds are raised for PP to go then I'll probably move this to the week after lol

I was hoping to go to CGC and I will go to that over this if I can get a ride to it.
