As well, this is to serve as a directory to future events. I'm actually able to go to some of these. Poppin's I'll miss since I'll be at my dad's in Long Island, but I'm hoping to make some of those MA tournaments and the CT one in South Windsor.

Seriously though, someone needs to get some going in the Northwest of CT. Legit.

gotta rep my region u no?

Also, from now on, can the tournament hosts be sure to add the amount of money paid out to the winners? This is to concede with the SWF Rankings' need for such data, as well as serve as bragging rights for the participants.

Also (again), that's awesome Rapture :) I'm sure in due time people will be able to start up tourneys in that area, you might even be able to as well if you can find a venue to play at.

if you can find a venue rapture, there are a lot of people who can help you out until you get used to running it by yourself, all you need to do is find a place, $5 venue fee pref. per person, and tube tv's (no flat screens, they lag). The place doesn't even need TVs, people can bring them if there are none at the venue. It's actually pretty easy unless it's 30+ people, which is just a little bit more work to keep TV's open and stuff. Just an idea :]

if i actually do start going to tournies again consistently i'll probably start hosting my own again, in which i can look into a venue that's pretty close for you too.

Well, there is a LAN center in town, but it's pretty shady and mostly rhythm game stuff. Though, other options would possibly include the high school and rec center. I'll look into it.

Any venue that's a decent size would work. Game stores or Lan centers can be iffy if they're too small to fit 30-50 people. I know for Bum's tourneys in NY, he hosts them in a cafeteria in a school, and it's huge. But just keep in mind if you're looking for a venue that it should be able to comfortably fit 30-50 people (especially in this region), and have enough room for a good 6-15 TVs for setups.

The area the venue is in is not such a big deal. Most people carpool or are dropped off by parents or friends anyway. I spend $6 for parking at DNA tourneys and just put it in a parking garage so my car is safe.

updated with the new tournament and result from Poppin's.

Irish, we're actually waiting on Zoso to make the thread for SWF. His name on the thread will get more hype than someone less known in the community like myself. But yes there is Melee. :3

Also Mass Madness returning would be way too cool.

Update with a few format changes and moving Nico and Napkin's tournament from upcoming to the results section.

Also if anyone hears about any tournaments not listed here in the New England area, or has a results thread for a tournament that needs it, please post them here.
