2: gmoney-yO you definitely beasteded at the tourney dude, thanks for the ride, the laughs, and more this whole weekend. Bumpin to mad music from the ride back from the tourney was mad fun. I wish we coulda stayed longer during Power Glove's performance.

3: Th0rn-Yo everyone was talkin about ur Falco on the ride back, we love your style of play man, its deifnitely mad fresh, and something new. Usually alotta ppl like to bite off of the FL Falcos, but you just bring your own style to the table and show that you definitely can be a contender with it as well. Such a smart player ggz btw! Thanks for all the friendlies yesterday, definitely was a pleasure playing w/ ya! Oh yeah and ggz!

GGz everyone, pretty fun tourney.

Also, I'm pretty sure you are required to fill out a w-9 form for prize money only when your prize is over 600 dollars.

After experiencing GameUnicon and all, I felt pretty uncomfortable yesturday having a random guy, that no one knows, in my face telling me I need to give him my social security number or I couldn't get my grand total of 50 dollars.

Wow, sounds like a scam to me. Wouldn't be surprised... lol. People like to do that kind of ****. I hope you didn't give him any information...

As for the tournament, the whole weekend was awesome, I had lots of fun. It's too bad we didn't have more of these back to back events going on... I'll post some shoutouts later on this week. GGs to everyone though!

sigh. Playing video games for money is consided Gambiling in Massachusetts which is ILLEGAL , so the money was guaranteed by showcase live. so to make it legal, they had to be taxed and stuff

They made the bands fill out W-9s as well I think they were just making sure everything was legit... Don't worry Showcase Live is a huge, huge company and are on the level. I will see if I can do something different next time. I kinda wanted them to have me fill out the W-9 for me and then pay everyone but I'm not sure.

I thought this was an awesome event! I am so happy so many players came out.

Any suggestions for the next event there?

My goals:

Bigger guaranteed pot- likely a $10 venue fee + entrance for individual tournaments... people seem to like this better. I would like to say there is $500-$1000 in the tournament already and have some or all of the entrance going toward it.

Less Bands- 4 was too many... I think the next one we may have either no bands and do 1 major tournament with huge money and 1 with bands OR have like 2 bands instead.

What do you think?

Thanks a lot for holding this Jamie. For the next one it would be nice if we were more spread out if possible (I know the venue looked pretty full already). There were enough set-ups, but only two people could fit at each set-up and it felt kinda cramped along that wall.
