I ordered it about 2 weeks ago and finally got it on friday. For the cost, I definitely can't complain...

Test video:

-audio wasn't working when i recorded the test video, but I already figured out how to make it work. I'll upload another video with audio soon...

-the artifacts in the begining are youtube's fault. They aren't in my original video. The actual quality is reflected pretty well by the parts that don't have those nasty artifacts.

-I recorded using VLC with default settings. (Deinterlacing is not enabled by default.)

-My falco is ghetto. I know.

I'll post a setup guide if anyone's interested. (Obviously it would be a waste of time if no one else on smashboards buys one...)

I've owned, recorded and maxed out my old easycap's settings. Whilst it may appear a bargain at first, it won't be long before you're easycap starts going haywire, loosing quality and begins to get choppy. It is worth $11 without a doubt, but a Dazzle will last you longer then the amount of easycap's needed to match the price of a dazzle.

About how long was it before your easycap started crapping out? maybe you got a dud...

btw if you remember, could you post which settings worked best and what programs you used with it?

Capture cards can wear out? That sucks. My Hauppauge HD PVR is wearing out fast now.

close to prime quality (August 6, 2010)

Compare the character select screens.

Is there any way to like de-wear capture cards or at least preserve them in their prime state?

Note: the last one isn't such an accurate representation of my current quality. I was playing with quality settings and forgot to to change some stuff back. Most of the blurriness is because I set luma and chroma to 10. Not a good idea. I don't think I changed any settings from the August 6 and October 2 recordings...

Sorry for reviving an old thread. But I read on another thread in smashboards that easycap drivers only work with windows XP.

Is this true?

ah yeah, I just installed the driver. Did you guys install all the software that came on the CD as well?

I couldn't get the audio working either =(

How did you guys get audio on your captures?

The audio is terrible. I record off a mic instead (but it has a 2 second delay). I couldn't get it working

on top of that, did you use the same console for both vids? wii has clearer graphics than the cube.
