Ontario Pwn Classic Results thread + shoutouts

Just a few words to express my satisfaction on what appeared to be a great tournament. I worked hard coming to and on the day of this tournament and expect that I will try to deliver more tournaments of this calibre in the future with even more efficiency. I would also like to show my appreciation to those who helped with set-ups and event; RXS with the great ****ing stream! Canadian Spooky people!, Omega with the major help without discrimination for smash, Cuban Pete, Sketchville boyz, Ambrose, Jack, Mikey, Trovato, Adnan, Tin, Pharaoh, and MTL Smash boys. Event couldn't run smoothly without you ****ers! Ontario competitive scene just keeps thriving.

GREATLY run tourney Gi, just incredible. every single event was super smooth. extremely impressive - 8 events with 30+ entrants each all done in 9 hours with limited setups. great job dude

Had a ton of fun here. Huge thanks to Gi for putting this together - everyone in the scene owes him big.

GG's to the people I played. I think I might finally be done with Brawl though. No salt from me this time though - I feel like I played very close to my best and good job to M Prime and Ham beating me. More importantly, I resolved to just play for fun at this tourney because I play better when I'm having fun. Problem is I still didn't really have fun in Brawl. I still like and respect Brawl but don't love the game or have the drive to be really good at it anymore. As it is I only ever get to play the game in tourney so I'm only ever playing in high stress conditions, but I want to be able to still enjoy the game and if I drop from the tourney scene now I'll at least be able to pick it up casually once in a while and have fun. Street Fighter might even be in the same boat for me. So GG's Brawl scene, it's been amazing, but I'm done now. I'll probably still see most of you around though...

...because Marvel and Melee on the other hand I still love so you'll see me at tourneys for those. Now if only TvC would pick up XD.

Also once Project M gets a real release there's a good chance I'll play it - I loved it at Apex so as long as it hasn't been screwed up since then I'll probably still love it.

Oh, for the OP, I played Snake in P:M, and fUddO and I went Pit/Meta Knight in teams.

2. GURU - All three sets were damn close. It could have went either way, I almost had a heart attack on the last game. GGs though, it was fun.

3. Reis - It was fun playing doubles with you and Izek. Good **** ravaging losers bracket. Overall, good games.

4. SD - Why is Marth soooo hard. . We should have teamed.

5. Ndot - Thanks for carrying me in doubles. :D You're alright. You didn't meet me in grand finals like planned. Scrub. (jk, you ****, you da best)

5. Massola - Look at this newcomer, following PeterX's footsteps. Quit the fancy stuff and play more and you'll probably be one of the better players in no time. You didn't stick to the plan so I couldn't meet you in Winners .

9. jMo - I don't think I played you in melee, but Project M was fun. I think it was luck that I didn't meet you in brackets (I hate Falco with a passion) we should play some melee next time.

9. Hoo% - You finally made it out of pools, good job. .

13. Izek - I'm glad I didn't play you in brackets. I think you coulda knocked me out of brackets like last time lol. Sucks you had to play Ndot, he's too good (I would know, he ***** me)

13. Sonya - I assume this is Adnan. I play you like once a year, good games though. The last set was really close, could have went either way. Get a new controller, that'll fix all your problems :D.

17. Asia - Luckily the only falco I played in bracket, you gotta work on that shield pressure and don't rely on your lasers too much . Sucks you got knocked out early, I thought you would have made it farther.

17. MC - I'm sooo happy I didn't have to play you in brackets. Your ICs are pretty good. Probably would have knocked me out. We should play some more next time.

25. Windrose - Wow, you got gayed by the bracket. Sucks you were matched up with shieks. I thought you woulda made it a lot farther. Good games in doubles though.

25. taytay - My first bracket match. Sorry if I demoralized you in any way, I feel like a jerk now. I assume you just started and this is probably your first tournament. We were all in your position once. Just keep playing and learn what to do against different characters and you'll be good in no time .

Guy with the piercing on his left eyebrow - I don't know what name you used to play with so, you get a special shout out. You improved quite a bit, I wouldn't be surprised if you could keep up with the best of us in a month or two. Keep practicing against those level one comps . By the way, whats your smash tag? I like to think it's CeX but I'm not too sure.

PeterX - you ****ed up.

To everyone else: I probably didn't get to play friendlies with you. That makes me sad.
