Hi guys, me and Danny SSB are working on a revolutionary project to modify SSB 64: Project PSA

We want to Change some Characters to make them more "balanced" (No so bad ejem samus link ejem)

nerf pikachu, improve ness, and i think there was no need on making marios fireballs faster

I think melee kirby is crap, i think the best is to keep it as 64 but a bit nerfed

Is like 64, we nerfed his nair (now is uair) and uair now can combo

Danny is trying to improve ness, we dont know how now XP

give his f-air a bigger hitbox so it's more like his melee f-air or Samus's f-Air, but make it have upwards knockback so F-Air chaining floaties is still possible

Extend his dash attack hitbox and give it u-tilt knockback

make u-tilt and u-air his japanese u-tilt and u-air

the link up-b looks worse to me. it gives you better range, but looks like it leaves your super open to getting punished.

no, he means when you do links hax up-b, he goes super high, then comes down leaving himself heavily open just like ness' recovery. Which makes it not hax anymore. He wasnt talking about the ATTACK, coz thats obviously broken. I would love it if you made his recovery alot more horizontal then vertical, just like in the EU vers, BUT MOAR

Can you give samus her grounded up-b in the air (Melee up-b)? Also, are you guys trying to make something like brawl minus or are you going for a refined, more balanced ssb64?

more like brawl- ? MORE HITSTUN?!
no theyre just trying to make everything alot more balanced,
eg. links recovery is horrible, so theyre improving it, same with ness'. i think.
kirbys utilt etc etc.

and that samus question is what needs refining

Project anyways....itll probably cause massive ds and lag or some sort of common issue. Its not gonna work 100%.
Also greater speed on samus' n-b isnt necessary, everyone would spam it

eh could be fun, people play project m, brawl + and brawl -
plus i have a gameshark for n64, SO NO DS ON CONSOLE BIOTCH

Also greater speed on samus' n-b isnt necessary, everyone would spam it
like lasers?

For Jiggily Puff you could buff rest, buff bair, buff utilt (Make it like Kirbies).

For Samus you could make bomb recovery work like how it does in melee.

Mabey for ness you can make his PK thunder come out like how lucas's works in brawl and make PK Magment come out really fast, and do damage like fox's shine. (It should still heal ness though keep that in.)

link needs a better recovery, but this new spin attack leave him too much open.

Usamsh is weak, give that move more strenght

Dtilt is slow, make it faster, if is posible, give it his spike hitbox

Ftilt is OK, but would be better a faster one

Nair have little knock back and damage, do that move like melee nair

his grab is punishable, a faster hookshot would help his limitated grab game

Utilt needs the knock back fof his japanese version

his ground spin attaxk leave link open for a while, less ending lag would help.

Link is all spaming proyectiles, maybe give him a faster pull out bomb animation

I just got an awesome Idea, you should have PK thunder for ness when it hits other characters knock them back a set in stone knock back equal to the same distance he recovers and it puts the enemy in a helpless state (or mabey not) what do you think?

That mario PSA is definitely not balanced. Thats why I was wondering.
Also, Samus's up-b on the ground goes a lot higher and has a lot more invincibility than her aerial one. I asked that question because it looks like they can take animations for ground moves and use them for aerials (and vice versa).

I didn't mean make it charge faster, just the charged bomb travels faster so it's harder to dodge/shine, small change but it would be fun.

the only thing that we can do at the moment is change character animations and swap effect and hitboxes ONLY from the same character (so, we cant give a link a spike because he doesnt have a spike move, but, for example, we can put nair hitbox to Falcon uair)

Nah, is static (Danny has discovered some interesting things, like moving and make bigger/smaller platforms)

Dsmash can have high vertical knockback at times which is not what you want. Dtilt can lead to fair which as I'm sure you know has impressive horizontal knockback.

For funsies, and also because I believe D-Tilt stays out marginally longer (though it is slower, which can be remedied with timing).

D-Smash > D-Air for edgeguarding though.
