◆Review by 9B
Ranking Battle has entered the 2nd season for Sumabato. New coming players, starting out fresh, and players from 1st season, aiming for a higher placing than before, gathered up to compete in the Ranking Battle for the 2nd season.

Qualifier rounds, as usual, had easy brackets and intense brackets, and since it affects on the seeding in the main bracket and the points you earn, some people were yelling, screaming, and laughing during their matches.

There were a lot of different players compared to the 1st season in the main bracket. It was also interesting to see a Marth player making it to the main bracket, considering the number of Marth players that placed high in 1st season. Most people's focus was closing in on SLS's Falco and Cross Sheik as the tournament progressed.

In the end, SLS won the tournament, using Falco and Snake. SLS was said to be the best WiFi player for a very long period of time, but barely showed any performance offline until now. During this tournament, he showed his high execution skills, inhuman reading skills, and his insane amount of knowledge about match ups. As SLS used for his tag during matches, he was a "Devil" when it came to winning.

2nd place is Kakera, using Metaknight. Kakera used to be well known for his Ice Climbers, but this time he brought out his Metaknight to show what he is really capable of. His aggressive style, edge-guarding, and clutch powers brought him all the way to finals, but even he couldn't win against SLS.

3rd place is Cross, using Sheik only during the entire tournament. He lives in southern Osaka, and mains nothing but Sheik. Using his unique aggressive style Sheik and techniques he learned from using the character for so long as his weapon, Cross finally made it to top 4, which he couldn't achieve during the 1st season. His next goal would be to learn the match up against Metaknight, since he lost to Kakera both in winners and losers bracket.

4th place is earth, using Pit. Earth is from central Japan, and consistently places high in Sumabato with his double main, Pit and Sheik. He was unstoppable for a while during this tournament, beating his rival Masashi in qualifiers and Cross early on in the bracket, but then lost to Kakera's Metaknight. After losing his momentum, earth continued to lose against Cross in losers as well. Hopefully He would be able to win his first tournament during this season.

After the singles, there was some extra time to do doubles as a sub event.Doubles was made up of 22 teams, and the matches were all best of one.

Anyway, the games of this tournament was pretty awsome.2 teams from the best4,Phisakura&Machdash team and 9B&Rakyawo team used Lucario+G&W.The oilpanic raged and many people screamed for there early graved stockes and many people were entertained back in the audience.

But though the champion was Akira&Hayase(double Metaknight). They have been practicing against Lucario+G&W team since it became popular and defeated both the teams.Akira's Metaknight, which is still top-class in west Japan and Hayase's Metaknight, which is said to be the best Metaknight for doubles in west Japan showed perfect combination and kicked about most present teams.

9B&Rakyawo team in second place also showed the moves. The basic style of this team was that G&W mostly stays at the edge and Lucario fights 2 against 1.And if they have a chance,Lucario shoots his NB and charges the oilpanic. They make a situation that oilpanic can easily hit and instantly kill the enemy.Very simple and terribly strong strategy. This Lucario+G&W is a type of team which many people will lose in first experience,so we'll need to practice against them.

The second ranking rankig battle of SumabatoX has finaly began.Players up to third place was was different from the top player in the first ranking, and made us feel a new generation.
Who stop SLS? Or maybe more new strong players will show up?
We must keep an eye on the development.

Japanese Pits get it in. I hope some American Pits can catchup to their level or even surpass them.

these Japanese results need to be featured. They're easily overlooked, but very interesting, and it brings much hype to our own tournament scene when people read about foreign players.
