Melee Rules
4 Stocks
8 Minutes
Friendly Fire On

Wobbling is limited to 200%
All other infinites are limited to 200% (Ex: Fox shining on the temporary wall on PS)

1v1
Neutrals:
•Battlefield
•Final Destination
•Fountain of Dreams
•Yoshi's Story
•Dreamland 64

Counterpicks:
•Kongo Jungle 64
•Pokémon Stadium
Note: Any stage can be counterpicked as long as the player being counterpicked against agrees to it

2v2
Neutrals:
•Battlefield
•Final Destination
•Yoshi's Story
•Dreamland 64
•Pokémon Stadium

Counterpick:
•Kongo Jungle 64

The first stage is selected by stage strike where the higher port (P1>P2>P3>P4) strikes one followed by the lower striking two and then the first strikes the final stage. This lets you just hit "Start" right as the stage menu comes up instead of having to select the stage with the cursor.

I dont think stage strike should be chosen with port priority cause I always pick 3 for the yellow shield and this gives me a disadvantage lols ^_^

These rules were presented to me by Keeper I believe. If you guys have suggestions for better rules I would be more than happy to take a look at them.

You should change the title to someting like best bout monthlies. That makes it nonspecific and caters more toward the smashboards crowd in the northwest.

A Street Fighter/Marvel tournament was called "Winter Brawl" and it didn't feature either smash game. *shrug*

Yes, but that was a tournament that didn't involve Smash; this does, and therefore the word "Brawl" carries a certain set of implications that wouldn't otherwise matter.

A couple months ago, we had almost 30 for Melee at Best Bout, all but like 3 were Oregon players. It was really cool. If we actually brought Melee carpools instead of Brawl carpools, we actually could hit 50.

damn
