If I decide against making Apex my last tournament, I'll be there.

You should make the payout for <16 entrants to 60/30/10 instead of making first prize's so onesided.

But keep in mind: This event is using unity, and it's after January 9th, so MK will be banned

y'all already know every potential mk player that'll be there and banning won't change the results of the tournament cuz I'm still going to lose to more skilled players and beat lesser skilled opponents, regardless of character

Though I don't think we should ban MK, if we did, it could very easily change the outcome of the tournament (D./Batto go close to even with me on MK, but there's no way they'd win on secondaries).

Melee? Awesome. I'll bring my Wii for Brawl and my Gamecube for Melee. I'll have to see about bringing a tv. I'm asking some family members to borrow two. I'll update if I can get them or not.

My buddy Pingding will most likely be coming too. If he does he can probably bring a tv and a Gamecube.

EDIT: I can bring 1 TV. But theres one thing, it doesn't have the composite inputs (the 3 plugs). So I can only use it for the Gamecube because I don't have an RF input for my Wii. I'll still bring the Wii though, just in case someone has a tv in need of a console.

Is noon sign ups or the actual tournament?

My birthday is on Saturday, but I'm out of town. I want to go to either lunch or dinner with my family. Which would be better?

I'll make changes to the OP when I get time, but here's what I'm thinking.

Show up for 12:00

Sign ups for Melee 12:00-12:30

Melee starts at 12:30. I think it can be finished pretty quickly, unless we get a lot more people than usual

Once melee finishes, we start Brawl.

I don't want to keep people out all day, but like I said, this is also my first TO'ing experience, so IDK what's the most efficient time schedule. We'll be fine.

Melee will run with the MBR recommended ruleset. IDK nearly enough about Melee's metagame to change it.

Brawl will be MK legal, but Brinstar, Rainbow Cruise, and Delfino are banned. If I'm going to allow MK, we're going to remove all the gimmicks that give him such a strong advantage.

ok so here's what im going to do, BSP. i will go to lunch with my family, around 11:30 or noon. depending on how long we'll be there, i can make it to Laser Tag for like 1:30 or 2. Melee shouldnt be done by then, right? esp since LA Smashers are always late.

Banning Delfino too? Thats not a bad idea, that could really work. If that works out maybe all LA tourneys should have those rules.

BSL, that sounds good.

With MK legal, I'm banning any stage that could possibly give MK some silly advantage. Delfino has sharking issues a large majority of the time, and then walkoff and water shenanigans at most other times.

I really didn't intend it to be trash talk. I just don't see how anyone can say banning MK won't affect us, even if we don't have THAT many MK mains.

I said that to hype the tourney up some more. I also believe it would affect the tourney's outcome but not by much.
