If you recorded any Melee tournament sets and want me to link to your channel/videos in the original post, then please follow these guidelines:

* Split videos by SETS, not by games, and delete any unnecessary footage between games if you can. If it's over 15 mins and your YouTube channel can't handle those long uploads, or if you only have uneditable camera footage, then that's understandable. Do what you can. Individual game friendlies are okay.

* Labeling might seem like a trivial detail, but Alex Strife wants media for Apex to be as professional as possible, including YouTube videos. Tournament videos without this EXACT labeling format won't be accepted for publication in the original post.

YouTube Title Format:
Apex 2012 - Player (Character) vs Player (Character) [Bracket Position]

Example:
Apex 2012 - KoreanDJ (Sheik) vs Shroomed (Doc) WB3

WB3 in this case refers to Winners Bracket 3rd Rd. LB7 would refer to Losers Bracket 7th Rd, etc.

YouTube Description Format:

I think the argument is that if they are too busy to upload matches then should delegate someone else to upload matches for them, or have someone else record them instead.

not directed at anyone in particular:
it annoys me when people that don't even attend a tourney act like they're entitled to videos and for them to be up quickly and stuff... at least the players that were recorded have a lil bit of justification to do so but you'll find they're almost all patient.

back in like 2004-2007... basically all of pre-Brawl, before recording setups were easy to get it was hella rare to get vids recorded and uploaded except at big nationals/MLG. community is too spoiled nowadays =( being able to record in and of itself takes a decent $ investment, and doing so is a huge time commitment and we don't get paid anything; we do it because we love the game and the community. so show some patience smash bros.

Isn't Apex paying staff members? If so, and what you say is true, why does it say " recording staff member" there? I assume the recording positions are volunteer positions. The livestream people are getting paid though, right? If they don't deliver high quality streams, I'd say we form a mob and find the guys running it.

IDK if i should post this here, but for the person who recorded at TV 38, there are matches for R2 pools that have a peach vs a falcon, luigi, and a zelda.

That set was not a friendly but an actual tournament set (weaponX vs Mr.F).

Well... sadly, very little Melee was recorded yesterday. Long story short, we weren't given the resources to do so, not even close. I'd like to explain further, but it's pointless right now because everyone who wasn't at the venue probably can't even imagine how messy of a situation it was.

Pools for Javi Ice and Captain Jack, and anything that was on the livestream, are recorded. But that's about it. We'll try to regroup for singles bracket as much as possible on Sunday, but if Friday was any indication, recording will be extremely difficult.

What happened? I manned my station all day long and recorded a ton of stuff, but the big pools/matches were always sent to the major setups. Surely those are fine, right?

Is everything that gets recorded going to be uploaded? Because I think I was playing some friendlies on a tv with a recording setup, but I don't know how in the world the uploader would know who was playing, if they weren't asking people for tags/monitoring the TVs closely. Just wondering. (I don't even know if I remember the tv number, but it's probably irrelevant, anyways, as it was just friendlies, not pools or bracket or anything, so it probably won't get recorded).
