I know that some of my events in the past have been a bit shaky but that's why I was determined to make Phoenix Saga 4 the best one yet. The overwhelming positive feedback from you all is really inspiring. I was ready to leave this community to be honest, but its events like this that make me love this game and community. There WILL be a fifth installment to this series. Count on it. I promise to keep stepping up my TO game and making these events, the ones you just can't miss. Lost to Clowsui rd. 1 because for some reason I used Ganon/DK instead of using MK/Falco like I should have. Then I lost to Sago first round of losers because he lost to Rayquaza really early, and I'm like 0-15 vs him since 09.

Thanks for hosting, TC. Had fun for the most part despite my abysmal placing. I'll likely go to PS5 but ehh. I can't get any better without having someone to challenge me (no offense west MI), and I couldn't play wifi even if I wanted to.

I'll keep working on secondaries I guess. It's impossible to go straight Falcon through pools/bracket without getting drained before everyone else. I used to have fun even when I lost, but now it's just painfully obvious how much better I am than all these players I lose to.

Apparently, my CGs forgot to come out of retirement when I stopped by this tournament (except against Zinoto and kind of lain). Only games that I lost that didn't really make a difference from CGs were Seagull game 1 with Wolf, Kain game 2 with Wolf, and lain game 2 with MK. Ban wolf imo

Yeah I don't mean to imply I'd win. Marth is, hands down, my best top tier matchup with MK though. Haven't lost that MU since like early '10.

I rarely lose to Marth with DK either, but I was playing the matchup the absolute wrong way. Going for reads instead of spacing you out was an awful idea since you were playing extremely spacing-heavy and basically replaced all of your defensive options with Fair.

Ganon was also a bad option for this reason. Expect my MK next time

This was a really fun tournament. I felt I was playing well for the most part, had fun commentating/at the smashfest, had fun playing doubles, and didn't stress too much helping out to run it because I was part of a great team. There weren't very many issues with efficiency other than the usual (Lain, friendlies + MMs being played excessively during bracket). It's weird because this tournament followed the schedule prepared almost exactly to a tee.
