Rick, Kine, and Coo should come back as an Assist Trophy called "Animal Friends."

Would say Nago, Chuchu, and Pitch too, but that's probably asking for too much.

Update: Mega Bidoof has taken ownership of this thread, replacing Guybrush20X6.

They were once Kirby's co-stars, Now they're lucky to even make a cameo.

Who thinks they should make a comeback?

[COLLAPSE="Moveset"]Gooey and Rick operate like Sheik and Zelda. Gooey has Rick tag along like a second ice climber but Rick is slightly in the background and can't be damaged. When you use B down Gooey gets on Rick. Because they're both onscreen at the same time they can "combo" their moves across move sets unlike Zelda and PKM Trainer. Gooey is light with far reaching normals due to his tongue. Rick is a hard hitter who uses his body to knock opponents off the stage. As a bonus he also looses no traction on Ice.

Special moves

Gooey

B: Tongue copy
Works like Yoshi’s B but steals abilities like Kirby’s B

B-side: Fireball
Gooey turns into a fireball and charges forward, similar to Kirby's dash in melee but goes faster and further.

B-up: Spark
Gooey rises and gives off sparks. Doesn't go far but doesn't need to as Gooey has multiple jumps.

Rick

B: Cutter
Rick throws Gooey like a boomerang

B-side: Stone
Rick turns into a stone ball and gooey rides on the top, rolling him forward

B-up: Footstool Parasol
Rick bounces off Gooey then goes into a parasol glide, Gooey stays attached via tongue.

Final Smash
Gooey takes on his Dark Matter form from the final battle of Kirby's Dreamland 3 while rick holds on to him. Like Super Dragon Yoshi he can shoot star projectiles. Video here[/COLLAPSE]

Gooey and Rick could happen since they had a few supporters pre-Brawl. Though out of the two, Gooey seems more likely.

I've never played a Kirby game, but if it were to get a 4th character, I would really hope it was either Gooey or Marx. Those two characters are really fascinating to me.. although I don't really know if the Kirby series should get another character.

Dreamland games were nice when each power only had 1 ability and you had to mix and match power and animals to get different effects to solve puzzles.

Now you can pretty much use all the powers the same.

why not having both Gooey and Rick as pair like the Ice Climbers? Rick could use the abilities like the video Guybrush20X6 showed, using Gooey insted of Kirby. their down special could switch the lead character.

they collectively could be known as "Gooey & Rick", much like in the Japanese version of Brawl for Olimar where he is referred as "Pikmin & Olimar". or they could be referred with their individual names like Zelda / Sheik depending on the leader, with Gooey being the default leader.

nice moveset. Rick's B up sounds a little like Ice Climber's. but if he bounces off Gooey, what happens to Gooey himself? it looks kinda weird to me...

Also, I didn't even know this thread existed lol. I'm definitely a supporter of Gooey (and Rick to an extent [made a fan sprite sheet of him though] ).

The only two kirby characters with the copy abbility besides the kirbys, furthermore, they could use it in very different ways.

Well technically Rick and the other Animal buddies didn't have copy abilities themselves but can utilize Kirby/Gooey's ones.

Rick is the only of the animals that actually eats the enemies when kirby or goey are using him, he is also the only one that transform his entire body in function of some of the abbilities.

It's in early development. We have a dojo hear on the boards.
We have an idle pose sprite of every character, we just need someone to make attack sprites and moving/walking sprites.

If you have other stuff going on, that is fine.

Also, sorry I can't help too much. Although if you're looking for spriters, I knew a bunch of good ones on the Mcleodgaming forums. Some of them helped with Smash Flash, and are currently doing Smash Flash 2.
