Presenting Alexandra Roivas!

Update: Keybladeguy has taken over as the thread owner, replacing deuxhero.

Alexandra in Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem.

Eternal Darkness' possible series symbol.

Just who is this "Alexandra Roivas"?
Alexandra is the star of Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem, a smash hit Gamecube horror game created by Silicon Knights and published by Nintendo (as such, she would be considered Second Party, in the same vein as Shulk and Pokemon). A college student studying for a degree in abstract mathematics and number theory, after her grandfather is mysteriously killed through supernatural causes that baffle the police, she looks around the family mansion and comes into possession of the Tome of Eternal Darkness. Essentially, she seems like the Nintendo version of Lara Croft, except much cooler.

What can she do?
She wields many weapons on her own, ranging from mundane swords, firearms and an enchanted gladius that returns when she throws it. The other 11 playable characters of Eternal Darkness have their own armaments, including antique firearms, crossbows, and a wide range of melee weapons, as well as the occasional unique equipment like Peter Jacob's flash pan which she could also use, as a theory of mine states that her mind connects with that of the other characters in their chapters through the Tome of Eternal Darkness. She also has access to the game's unique Magick system, allowing invisibility, magic blasts, summoning, recovery and weapon enchantment among other uses.

Another potential source of moves is the game's patented sanity system, which includes effects like walking on the ceiling , fake items and, most famously, messing with the game's interface.

Why should she be in?
She is the star of Nintendo's first M rated IP, which has yet to be represented in Smash. The game received great praise and had a planned sequel (although this is seemingly no longer true), as Nintendo has renewed the ED trademark, the sanity system patent, and Silicon Knights claimed to be focusing on their "most requested" title for the "next generation", latter confirming ED2 is "highly requested" and a former employee has been spoted listing Wii U SDK in his resume.

FAQ
Q: Does Nintendo even own Eternal Darkness?
A: Yes they do, and Nintendo could use an M-Rated fighter in Smash that isn't OP Snake or Begging-for-a-booty-call Bayonetta. :troll:

Moveset

Alexandra Roivas is fast, with decent jumps and medium weight. Her recovery, while poor, is made up for with her powerful moves and magical arts.
Jab: Alexandra punches with her right fist, kicks low with her right leg, then fires 6 shots from a handgun straight forward, holding the gun with both hands.
Forward Tilt: Alexandra does a 90 degree angled kick with her right leg.
Up Tilt: Alexandra fires three shots upward with her handgun.
Down Tilt: Alexandra kicks her foot out in a low kick.
Dash Attack: Alexandra kicks forward her foot while running (think Zero Suit Samus' dash attack in Brawl.
Up Smash: Alexandra opens the Tome of Eternal Darkness above her head, pages to the sky, which a large flame pillar comes out of.
Side Smash: Alexandra opens the Tome of Eternal Darkness in front of her, pages directed away from herself, and Pious Augustus attempts to escape the confines of the book, slashing his sword using his bony, skeletal arm.
Down Smash: Alexandra uses her machete close to the ground.
Neutral Aerial: Alexandra holds the book away from her, opening it, pages turned outward, and flames burn while she spins around once and closes it.
Up Aerial: Alexandra does a backflip kick.
Back Aerial: Alexandra turns and opens the book away from her, and Pious Augustus's skeletal arm reaches out in a swipe attack before she closes it again.
Forward Aerial: Alexandra pulls out her handgun and fires three shots forward.
Down Aerial: Alexandra slashes with her machete downward. Good meteor smash.
Neutral Special: Item Enchantment - Runes appear around Alexandra as she says a few magic words, purple energy surging through her, doubling all item effects of items she is holding and her physical strength for a short while. The longer held, the longer the item enchantment lasts, but if she is hit, she will fail to finish the spell.
Side Special: Mystic Lightning - Alexandra opens the book, and starts to charge her spell. The longer held, the more powerful it becomes. After release, she fires a long, horizontal red bolt of lightning from the book, which has it's pages pointed away from her.
Up Special: Mystic Teleport - Alexandra opens the book and chants a short spell, then will disappear in a puff of smoke before reappearing above herself. Poor recovery move.
Down Special: Damage Field - Alexandra summons several runes around her, as she casts the spell. The longer charged, the longer and more powerful it becomes. When released, a blue field of energy will form around her, blocking all attacks but projectiles, and damaging foes with touch through small lightning bolts if they get in range.
Grab: Alexandra opens the book with one hand, and Pious Augustus's skeletal hand will try to grab the foe.
Pummel: Pious' hand will choke the foe with dark energy.
Forward Throw: Pious' hand will toss the foe forward with a zombie-like grunt, and Alexandra will close the book and fire three shots from her handgun.
Up Throw: Pious' hand will toss the foe upward, and Alexandra shuts the book before slashing the falling foe with her machete.
Backward Throw: Pious' hand will hurl the foe over Alexandra's head, and she will shut the book and fire them with four shots from her handgun. Acts similar to Fox's back throw.
Down Throw: Pious' hand will choke the foe, forcing them to lie down, and Alexandra will shut the book before stabbing them with her machete.
Get-Up Attack: Alexandra will spin her legs around as she gets up. Similar to Zero Suit Samus' get up attack.
Ledge Attack: Alexandra will leap up and stab the foe with her machete.
Final Smash: Pious' Revenge - Alexandra will open the book to read it, but Pious' spirit will escape as she does it, possessing her body as her spirit is sent into the book. Alexandra's body will then transform into Pious' Skeletal Form, and you control Pious, wielding his sword, with a moveset near complete (Just no Specials) using his sword. After 30 seconds, or after taking 250 Damage, Pious will lose the fight for control of Alex's body and Alex will return from the book as Pious' spirit returns to the book and Alex returns to her normal state.
Taunt: Edward Roivas (as a ghost) appears behind Alex, and disappears as she attempts to turn and look at it, and she says "Snap out of it!" to herself before resuming stance.
Introduction: Alex appears as a drawing on paper before disappearing and becoming 3D.

Stage: Trapper Dimension

This stage takes place on several small rock islands floating in a never-ending dark abyss. Each small island has a portal in one of 5 colors (red, yellow, blue, green, and purple) behind it which change colors every ten seconds. Pressing up/jump when directly in front of a portal causes you to use it. Each portal will transport them to a different colored one (red goes to blue, blue to purple, purple to yellow, yellow to green, green to red) making for a very confusing location. Spending time here takes a toll on one's sanity, being located outside time and space itself. Different affects will make you go insane in this stage:
- A fly appears to be buzzing in the screen's foreground.
- If Items are on, multiple items (including Smash Balls and Assist Trophies) all appear at once, but only one is real!
- The platforms will become invisible but still be there.
- A message will pop up saying Player (1,2,3, or 4) Port isn't connected.
- All players damage reverts to zero percent for a moment before returning to normal.
- Music and sound will suddenly cease playing, before resuming.
- Stage will change appearance to look like another, before changing back.
- Characters will suddenly become small.
- Bob-Ombs appear to rain down, but only one or two are real. The rest are all false illusions.
- The stage will go upside down.
- Zombies will appear, wander the stage a moment trying to bite someone (but always failing), then disappear.

Edit: I have something productive to actually say

The company that owns this went bankrupt.

What?

1: Nintendo owns ED: see the credits (as mentioned in OP, which also says what an Alexandra Rovias is)
2: SK didn't go bankrupt (yet).

Which is they could use the support of getting their character into Smash Bros?

On second thought she's so generic looking. But if anyone so generic was to make it into SSB4 I'd hope it was her.

I once made a moveset for her, let's see if I can at least remember her B moves.

Hmm

B: Barrier
Gives you super-armor that will absorb the next attack you receive.

B-Down: Field Trap
Causes a barrier (similar to the one from Home Run Contest) that prevents opponents from passing without them taking damage and a bit of knockback.

B-Up: Summon (hold longer for better summons:
Lvl1: Trapper: You can teleport yourself and/or your opponent to a place of your choosing.
Lvl2: Zombie: Works like a re-dead. If it catches you it will make you struggle to ward him off.
Lvl3: Chaos(?): Heavy monster that shoots energy attacks, and has physical attacks.

B-Tilt: Magik Attack
You shoot magik energy at opponents. Travels by ground.

I was trying to come up with a way for her to cause insanity to her opponents.
Kind of like, if she deals enough magik damage to her opponents, they start seeing you differently. After-image feints, Alex looking like another character. Their controls reversing... etc.

But it might be confusing for Alex users as well, so.. maybe not such a good idea.

In my experience I generally left trapper dimensions with MORE health than I came in with due to the healing areas (really important in the early levels of some routes due to lack of healing spell).

As for moveset...

Normal: Normal colors from ED, Weapons/spells aligned to Mantorok
Red: red shirt and bluer jeans, plus more vibrant hair like the early pre-release screens. Weapons/spells aligned to Chattur'gha.
Blue: Shirt is blue colored. Weapons/Spells is aligned to Ulyaoth
Green: Shirt and jeans are green colored. Aligned to Xel'lotath
Other: Shirt is yellow and hair more vibrant: Weapons and spells are yellow colored.
(Alignment is cosmetic and changes the rune in the character logo)

Intro: Arrives if by Creeper's teleportation
Run animation: Same as ED's run
Idle: Alex looks over her shoulder cautiously. At higher precent/lower stamina, Alex will pant and hold her shoulder as if injured
Taunt 1: A "Mute" appears on screen for about a second, turning off all sound with it, before disappearing.
Taunt 2: Alex screams "This isn't really happening" while clutching her head
Taunt 3: Alex juggles her gladius.

Basic attacks:
A+a+a: A horizontal, vertical, and thrust from a gladius: Repeatable
Forward A: A sweeping chop with a cavalry saber. Has more range than the neutral attacks
Forward Smash: Alex throws the enchanted gladius, which travels a Bowser length and then returns.
Up A: Alex waves a torch around, repeatable.
Up Smash: An attack with the two-handed sword. Because of how Alex swings it, the attack covers above her and directly behind her and in front of her.
Down Smash: Using Peter's flash pan , nearby foes are stunned briefly with a small amount of damage.

Special attacks:
B: Magickal Attack: Hold B and release for a circuluer blast centered on Alex. Distance and power of the blast depend on time held, with 3 stages of power. When the spell reaches a power level can be determined by the appearing runes/voice saying (ancient's name)+Antorbok+Redgormor (hits first level of power)+Pargon+Pargon (2)+Pargon+Pargon (3). If the button isn't held long enough to reach the 3 rune stage, the spell fizzles. Similar to Tabuus Off Waves/RRoD, but not as powerful even at level 3. Will be stopped by platforms or the stage (but continues in other directions if not blocked). Alex is vulnerable when casting.

Forward B: Flintlocks: Alex shoots forward with Max's flintlocks. While powerful, have a short cut-off range and need to be reloaded after the 2nd shot (>b again or automaticlly next time Alex is left idle for a second).

Down B: Alex creates a "zombie". This zombie is considered allied to her for the first 10 seconds of its life, but hostile to everyone after that. It remains until its destruction or Alex summons a 2nd. The zombie fights rather like a Redead in Melee's adventure mode and mostly stays in one spot.

Up B: Gravity reverses for a short time, causing characters near Alex as well as herself to turn around and fall upward. If used on the ground, Alex stays stationary, but nearby opponents fly up.

Final Smash: The ancient Alex is aligned with appears, and wrecks havok (Xel'lotath controls foes and tries to make them suicide, Chattur'gha smashs people and Ulyaoth teleports and fires off Off Wave attacks. Matorok and Yel'ow do 1 of the 3 at random. After a bit Alex asks "What have I done?" and the ancient mysteriously dies.

Never could think of throws or aerials though.

Thats an awesome moveset.

I was actually thinking of a final smash that included the ancients.

I'm all for Alex for SSB4. Since Nintendo is going with the "Hardcore Gamers" for the Wii U I think it would be great if they represented one of their most popular M rated games in smash.

I just came up with a moveset (only special attacks):

Alex can change between the 4 alignments. Each alignment has a different effect on oponents
  • Ulyaoth: Makes characters slower and less powerful.
  • Xel'lotath: Reverses controls for a short amount of time (2 to 3 seconds).
  • Chattur'gha: Makes double damage.
  • Mantorok: Causes all effects in a less degree (reverses controls half the time, makes 3/2 the damage and only makes characters slower)
She uses the enchanted gladius at all times.

B: Magickal Attack - Zaps enemies with magickal power. Effect depends on current alignment. Press B one time for a 3 Point Circle of Power, 2 times for a 5 Point Circle of Power and 3 times for a 7 Point Circle of Power. More points means the attack will be more powerful, but it will also take more time to execute. If Alex gets hit before finishing the spell it will cancel.

Side B: Summoning Spell - Alex summons a trapper, a zombie or a horror.
  • Summon Trapper: Press B one time for a 3 Point Circle of Power. Trappers will roam the stage and sting anyone who' on their way. When stinged, the opponent will be teleported to a random place on the stage. Trappers can only sting once, after that, they will die. Effects vary on the current alignment.
  • Summon Zombie: Press B two time for a 5 Point Circle of Power. Zombies work just like ReDeads in Melee. They'll attack you and you can hit them to kill them. Effects vary on the current alignment.
  • Summon Horror: Press B three time for a 7 Point Circle of Power. Horrors are heavy and slow, but can deal a lot of damage. Hit them multiple time to kill them. Effects vary on the current alignment.
More points means the summoning will take more time to execute. If Alex gets hit before finishing the spell it will cancel.

Up B: Trapper's Magick - Alex teleports herself to a place of her choosing. She has a limited range though.

Down B: Change Alignment - Alex swaps between the 4 alignments. The aura surrounding the enchanted gladius will change depending on the current alignment.

Final Smash: Summon Ancient - Alex executes a 9 Point Circle of Power Summoning Spell and summon an ancient depending on the current alignment.
  • Ulyaoth: Summons a multitude of zombies and fires off Wave attacks
  • Xel'lotath: Changes the controls randomly (example: A is now the down arrow, select is now B, the up arrow is now start, etc ...)
  • Chattur'gha: Smashes people and deals huge amounts of damage per hit.
  • Mantorok: Does one of the previous at random.
After a while Alex says "What have I done?", executes the Binding Spell on the ancient and then it disappears

Kirby will gain the ability to make the Magickal Attack and will always be aligned to Mantorok.
The Yellow Alignment is not represented because I didn't know how to include it (Plus the ancient was never shown)

I loved Eternal Darkness. It's one of those rare gems on the Gamecube. Word of mouth is what gets this game through. I recommend it for anyone with a Wii or GCN. It is a great game and very different to what you're used to. I loved the Sanity Effects they really creep you out at times.
I also love the fact not every chapter had a happy ending.

As far as Alex Roivas goes. I'd rather Pious Augustus(The Bad Guy). He had such a cool look and that Staff has a few potential moves that would be cool.

for those who finished Maximillian Chapter.
I just thought of this though if we could have Maximillian Roivas and his FS could be a "Swarm of Rats" coming to eat your eyes out. Maybe his descendant Alex can take it though.

Honestly, I had never heard of the game or the series until recently. I looked them up & I feel as though she could be interesting.

I mean, if Snake could work in the smash universe, then I see no reason why she couldn't as well

Alex would be a good choice if Sakurai felt that the horror genre should be represented. (Eternal Darkness>>>Geist)

she looks like an interesting character with good potential.

perhaps a stage based on Eternal Darkness could invoke a more creepier atmosphere too? Would be a nice twist in the stage choice.

a nice representant of a Nintendo IP previously unrepresented in Smash.

a bit of trivia: did you know that both Alexandra Roivas and Samus (in the Prime series) share the same voice actress (Jennifer Hale)?

The Eternal Darkness stage needs to be the trapper dimension.

I actually had no clue! Nintendo has such a rich history of unique IPs that I don't know why people even feel that SSB needs third party characters! (Even though I already know it's due to popularity/personal preference:cool:)

If Eternal Darkness does get some sort of sequel for the Wii U, then I think she'd atleast be in the game as an Assist Trophy

I would love to see an Eternal Darkness sequel, oh man.

Also, ED as an assist trophy would be absolutely fantastic... you could even have an entire item dedicated to randomized sanity effects and monsters dropping in.

Wait.... So does Nintendo still own the IP?

I'm confused.
As far as I can tell, the sequel is actually a spiritual successor to Eternal Darkness... so, the maker of Shadow of the Eternals (Precursor Games) is probably avoiding specific Eternal Darkness IP like the plague.

Strange- I know Nintendo copyrighted Sanity Effects... I wonder if that's expired.

Nintendo owns Eternal Darkness. Shadow of The Eternals is the spiritual successor.

This situation is like the Demon's Souls and Dark Souls situation. Sony owns Demon's Souls and Dark Souls is the successor.

Y'all should visit the site. The game's looking great, but unfortunately, it's looking like it won't get funded in time.

... anyone else notice that the thread title misspells Alexandra Roivas's name?

But as far as Smash goes, since the sequel is a spiritual sequel and not produced by the same company (though worked on by a lot of the same people), they can't use Eternal Darkness IP and therefore the sequel won't improve Alex Roivas's chances.

I'm all for expanding the number of Nintendo IPs represented in Smash, though I'm not confident that Eternal Darkness even has much of a chance of being represented. I believe the game came out in Japan, but does Smash represent any IP's created outside of Japan? StarTropics is Japanese made but was never released there, and even it's totally ignored. Alot of the stuff from Metroid and Donkey Kong isn't Japanese, but they're part of originally Japanese IP's. It doesn't help that Nintendo has ignored Eternal Darkness for all this time. Shame that something this cool just gets passed over.

It'd be fun if whatever costume color you picked would determine which god you worshipped... Red, Blue, and Green teams work out well for the three gods and the non-team colors can just cast purple Mantorok affiliated spells.
EDIT: I see now that's pretty much what deuxhero suggested too. In that case... I agree with him!

Would people want to see her wearing that simple outfit? I wouldn't mind seeing her character redesigned a bit, perhaps to make her look like she's grown and gotten more experience since the events of the game. That'd make me feel better about her being able to cast spells faster than she did in the games. :)

And by that I mean SHE SHOULD BE WEARING ARMOR MADE FROM THE HIDES OF HER SLAIN ENEMIES.

Also, I know guns aren't allowed, but... it'd be cool if she got the elephant gun as an attack. A tap would just fire off a spray of bullets, but if you hold it down a bit longer it'd fire off both chambers and blow Alexandra backwards from the recoil. It'd be a fun way to extend her horizontal recovery a bit. :)

I'd love to see the sanity effects during her Final Smash or on the ED stage. (Volume, roach on the screen, Poe recitations, etc.)

I feel like the Trapper dimension might not be visually appealing enough, though. I don't know what I'd pick, but maybe something like that discovery under the mansion.

Precursor Games should beg Nintendo to put Rovias in Smash. It would really sell their game if she was in it.

Lastly, the thread title is pretty clever. :)

Unfortunately, it looks like the crowdsourced sequel won't get nearly enough money to be made unless they get a huge last-minute boost. They're at 8% of what they want.

Also, unfortunately, I don't think we'd be seeing any of the same characters again anyway. Maybe they'd be putting in very similar characters (Alexandra Rescuer Reucser anyone?)

Oh, I made her a moveset. Whabam.

ALEXANDRA ROIVAS
Alex can charge her spells up between a 3, 5, and 7 point circle, meaning that she must form that many runes of power and say that many words while not being interrupted to successfully cast the spell. If the specials button is being held by the time she finishes 3 or 5 runes, she will begin channeling for the next spell level. Otherwise, she will cast the spell.
Light attacks do not interrupt her; only attacks that would launch her.
Note: In SSB, the runes form in a circle around her in the air, not on the ground.

Up Special
SUMMON CREATURE
Different levels of the spell summon different creatures. Each spell level, when cast in the air, has a different kind of recovery effect. When cast on the ground, the creature simply appears before Alex, ready to attack her enemies. Summoned creatures die from damage taken, not just being knocked off stage. As with all the spells, the creatures will look different based off of the color/allignment Alex is, but the differences are purely aesthetic.
3-point circle, Summon Trapper
Air: A trapper appears and immediately teleports Alex. She disappears for a couple seconds and then appears a fair distance away in the direction the player's holding. The trapper dies immediately afterwards.
Ground: A trapper appears on the ground.
Trapper: Looks like a magical scorpion with a color matching Alex's. 1 hp. Moves randomly on the platform every now and then. The first enemy who steps too close (proximity mine detection distance) will get teleported away in a random direction. The trapper then dies.
5-point circle, Summon Zombie
Air: A zombie appears underneath Alex facing downwards on its stomach. Alex acts as if she's standing on a platform so she can then jump+double jump towards the edge, but this does not renew her ability to cast Summon Creature. Alternately, she can actually attack the zombie while she's on it to knock it towards the stage... Zombie surfing. If a zombie lands on the stage, it cannot get up and is practically useless until killed.
Ground: Summons a zombie. It's essentially a Redead.
Zombie: Red zombies are heavily muscular, green zombies have glowing green transparent limbs, blue zombies are blue and leathery, and purples are completely emaciated. 30hp. They walk slowly towards enemies on the same platform as them and then start swinging their arms to attack. While Redeads grab enemies, Zombies simply engage and attack.
7-point circle, Summon Horror
Air: A hulking beast appears underneath Alex that grabs and throws her like a missile in the direction she's facing. If she is thrown into someone, they can easily be killed. While this move technically makes her go further than any other recovery in Smash, it takes so long to pull off that it's generally impractical to actually use to recover. If it lands on the stage, it will attack enemies like normal after.
Ground: Each color spawns a different three-headed beast that is easily the size of two medium-sized characters. The horror spawns in front of Alex and begins wreaking havoc by charging enemies on the same platform and jumping to pursue enemies if nobody's in its sights. Your enemies would be best off getting far away and trying to kill it with projectiles since all of its attacks hit as hard as smashes and tear apart shields.

Side Special
ELEPHANT GUN
Alex takes out a giant double-barreled shotgun designed to take down elephants and fires it to the side.
Tap: Fires a spray of unfocused shrapnel that disappears after traveling a short distance. The more shots that hit a target, the more damage and launch.
Hold: If the player is holding the button down when Alex has lifted the shotgun, she'll flip a switch on the gun and fire off two blasts simultaneously, launching her backwards from the recoil. The recoil could be used to aid recovery.

Ammo: Her gun can carry two shots at a time. When the gun is out, the Side Special will instead take out the gun and reload it. The double-shot can only be used when both cartridges are loaded, otherwise only the normal shot will go off.

Neutral Special
DAMAGE FIELD
Causes a circle of damaging energy to float in the air centered on Alex that damages and traps enemies similarly to an expanding Smart Bomb. Does not hurt Alex/allies, nor does it hurt objects: It only damages enemies who enter the zone, so the zone does not actually protect against projectiles in any way. While it traps enemies and can potentially damage them greatly, it has absolutely no launching capacity.
3-point circle: A small zone about the size of a bumper. Lasts for as long as it took to cast the spell.
5-point circle: The zone has the diameter of an entire person. Lasts 25% longer than the time it takes to cast the spell.
7-point circle: The zone has a monstrous size, occupying almost half of a small stage and it lasts 50% longer than the time it takes to cast a spell. Remember, it takes a long time to actually pull this off.

Down Special
ENCHANT WEAPON
Upon finishing the spell, Alex's gladius starts to glow with the energy granted by her god. Enchanted weapons deal more damage and launch foes further.
3-point circle: Damage and launch distance is raised by 10 percent of the original attack damage. Lasts for 10 seconds.
5-point circle: Damage and launch is raised by 25 percent. Lasts 15 seconds.
7-point circle: Damage and launch is raised by 50%. Lasts 20 seconds. Remember, unlikely to actually pull this off mid-match.

Final Smash
WAR OF THE GODS
Alex leaps into the air and forms 9-point spell circle and casts one these gigantic spells:
- Summon Creature spell to open a gigantic portal where swarms of horrors and zombies from all four different Ancient factions that start attacking everything in sight, including each other.
- She concentrates and casts Shield to make herself invulnerable until the FS ends.
- After a “What have I done?” moment, she casts Magickal Attack to summon energy orbs and sends them off to annihilate all of the zombies and horrors that have been summoned.
- The Shield wears off, and Alex drops to the ground again, exhausted from channeling the powerful magick.

Sakurai's said that he wants to bring back old characters, so why not Alex? When people think of old characters they probably think of NES/Famicom characters such as Takamaru, Balloon Fighter and Bubbles, but surely having not appeared in a game for 11 years Alex now also qualifies as an 'old character'. Not that I'm not in favour of classic 8-bit characters coming back in SSB4, but I think Alex is just as good a choice as any of them.

Eternal Darkness is like Earthbound, one of those games shunned by the mainstream but held dearly by Nintendo fans because of its creativity, originality, genius and how engrossing it is. Including Alex Roivas would be great fanservice for the hardcore Nintendo fans.

She is. That's why the title, characters, and sanity meter from ED won't be in the new game unless Nintendo hands them over.
