Top 50 Most Wanted Super Smash Bros. 4 Characters

Which video game characters TRULY deserve to be in Super Smash Bros. 4? Let's find out! YES, I KNOW there is a poll, but there ARE other characters that are wanted, and I want to rank the Top 50.

RULES:

1. List up to 10 characters you REALLY want in SSB4. You can only do this once, although you can change your mind. You must replace one person from your old list, however, with your new one.
2. Must be a video game character ORIGINALLY. Yes, it can be from your favorite anime, as long as they're in a video game. But you must base them on their video game form, not anime. So if [insert generic anime name] looks awesome in the anime, but not his video game [generic anime name]'S RACING RUMBLE!, then don't vote for him.
3. Can not be from Melee or Brawl; must be completely new (Unless they're Assist Trophies, Pokemon, a boss, or items from those games)
4. It's what you want, not what you predict.

psycho, he did say that he knew there was a poll, and that poll is pretty crap if you ask me. Misses out quite a few characters, puts too many in and can't even spell right (samurai gooh) and didn't even put bowser at the start of junior, I had no idea who he was!

Anyway, for this, idk it 10 votes a day or just 10 votes? I'd recommend going 10 or maybe 5 votes a day, so you might want to clarify it a bit.

Again, the current Smashboards poll picked the top 50 characters from another poll. Even though the choices aren't perfect, it still is better than that crap VGTribune poll that everyone is treating as such a big deal.

If the old poll is missing characters, it's because they didn't make the top 50.

Though I really find it hard to believe Travis touchdown made the top, even if he is at the bottom

Does this really warrant its own thread? Just asking. I mean, we have the poll, so this is pretty redundant. Yeah, the poll is missing a few, maybe three, good characters, but it at least keeps the bad/impossible suggestions out.

Another thing, isn't it pointless to even allow people to vote for characters that didn't originate in a video game, regardless of whether or not they've appeared in one, since Sakurai outright said they wouldn't happen? But I'll play along.

Why must they have been in a video game if they didn't originate in a video game. That rule does seem redundant. Either have it originate in video game, or just have any character.

The only two problems is that some characters are added late. A character could technically gather more votes if it was suggested first. Remember, you don't have to log in to vote. And the Top 50 is always the same. It can't change. At all. However, here, it can. So if Travis has less popularity, he will go down in rankings.

If the mods perceive this as a copy, then go ahead and lock it. Just trying to help the community a bit.

EDIT: Also, does anyone want me to add all of the poll results to this one? I'm not sure if I should...

The only characters that were added late to that poll were ones that really didn't have much popularity and were only requested by a few people. Even if they were added at the beginning they wouldn't have made the top 50.

I think you should mod the second point. Sakurai stated (go look up SamuraiPanda's pre-Brawl poll thread thingy as proof) that only characters who ORIGINATED IN VIDEO GAMES will be playable in Smash Bros. That means no Dragon Ball, Naturo, or Bleach characters, even if there have been a million trillion video games of those respective franchises.

That rule also states that in order for a 3rd party character to be playable, they must have appeared in at least one game that was on a Nintendo console.

As for my list of my most wanted newcomers...
1. Mega Man
2. Ridley
3. K. Rool
(the top 3 I think REALLLLLY need to appear as playable characters in smash bros. already!)
4. Dixie Kong
5. Isaac
6. Pac-Man
7. Little Mac
8. Paper Mario
(after this, my interest in the rest of the characters I want to [someday?] be playable in smash bros dips pretty steeply)
9. Shulk (might be higher once I play Xenoblade Chronicles)
10. The Balloon Fighter

Really, I only have about 25-30 characters that I would honestly say that I want to appear in Smash Bros. (that haven't yet appeared in Smash Bros). Seeing as how most of the playable character choices have been excellent in smash bros thus far, and have taken away most of the obvious answers, there really isn't as many characters to support unless you want really obscure characters and think really hard (once you get past your top 10 or top 20 most wanted characters list).

Nah, I was aware I didn't add Geno to my list. I just decided to only include characters I felt had a 10% chance of being playable (or better). I actually think all of the characters I listed have a 25% chance of being playable or better (minus the Balloon Fighter).

But yeah, that is why I also didn't include the likes of Geno, Knuckles, Plusle and Minun, and Blastoise.
