So despite my multiple claims of "This will be my last tournament I host ever" you guys refuse to let me retire. And I have promised to host a Phoenix Saga 6.

So now we need to determine a date for this event.

I would like to make this event as large as possible so I am doing something different and making a separate thread for our region so you guys can post what works for you. There is a poll for the dates I am considering. Please vote! If you would like to include an explanation feel free to.

Also note:

I would like ample time to hype this tournament so anything prior to April is not being considered.

Mid to Late April does not work for me personally. I have finals during this time.

May 4th does not work because the venue is in the University of Michigan campus. Senior graduation will be happening.

May 25th is Memorial Day weekend.

Almost any time would be fine, assuming I have the finances. The later the better, but it's not gonna be THAT big of a deal.

I doubt I'll be coming anyway, so the date doesn't matter.

BUT

If I did come, you would have to lift the melee entry ban on brawl tournament contestants, assuming there was one going on with it in the other room like was said for part 5. I wouldn't travel to a place I've never been to that has both and not play both.

Absolutely not.

We have time constraints with the venue. We've just had too many issues with dual enrollment before. With a series that drives the amount of attendance it does and it being a one day event:

Phoenix Saga Tournaments will always be Brawl only.

Late May would be cool if the venue is free. That would also maximize the time for people who plan to travel to both APEX and PS6. It would help the unfortunate people like me who don't have the time to travel long distances consecutively. lol

I think school being in-session could help attendance quite a bit though. Especially with this being far enough removed from finals.

We didn't do much in the way of a UM marketing campaign for the last one. I'm pretty confident if we went hard with putting up flyers in class buildings and dorms, as well as possibly handing them out on the diag we could get as many as 50+ UM randoms to come out for this.

Also a number of schools have them in mid-may.

Alsoalso. If you host this when I'm still around, I promise to actually put effort in and practice this time. :o
