What will you look for in a character?

In the next smash, what will you look for in your main?

-close range

I like chars that are medium in weight

chars that take strategy to get a kill, not requiring superpower attacks (ike-.-)

i like them to be fast.

lastly, how they fight is important to me.I like chars that look awesome when attacking.Their gracefullness matters to me.

I look for those in a main. I use marth in brawl because he exhibits these traits.i'll look for these in ssb4.What will you look for?

I generally just play with my favourite characters. But within that category:

-medium weight
-medium speed
-at least one good throw, preferably the reverse direction throw

i look for characters that are unique.

i play all characters, so i dont main just one. (my favorite is ness only because i like the series~)

if the heavies in the next smash had a little more "flavor" to them, then i might play heavies more often than i do in brawl.

i also like epic looking throws, like kirby's up throw. interestingly enough, all the heavies (aside from DK) never had any neat throws, which is odd, 'cause in most fighting games, the coolest throws usually come from heavy characters :\

so yeah, more flair in the heavy department.

I go for the heaviest strongest character. If they just so happen to be a villain its a bonus.

Gotta disagree with the above guy when he said the heavy characters throws have no flair. Bowser and Ganons side specials are probably the coolest grabs in the game. Well technically they aren't throws.

I'm looking for a character that is effective as a fighter, balanced through speed and power bur overall spectacular, funny, with long pretty combos and with both long and short range specials.

A character that can kill well, juggle well, has a good recovery, is heavy and good in the air.

Although I will definitely main Dr. Robotnik if he's in this and he's not garbage.

Melee DK should be something you'd like. Except for the good recovery, at least, on the vertical level.

You want a heavy with flavor and good throws, and you play multiple characters? Pokemon Trainer.

I would like a character that's a combination of Falco and Fox from Brawl with the power of Wolf mixed in. Basically...

-Rapid fire blaster that does damage and electric sparks (Fox/Falco/Wolf)
-Reflector shield (optional throw/shield combo) (Fox/Falco mix)
-Directional upB (Wolf, preferrably)
-Fast smashes (Falco)
-Strong sideB (Falco's lag speed, Wolf's peak power)
-6 frame or less grab (Is there one?)
-Strong throws (Wolf)
-Fast running, quick dodging/rolling (Fox)

Basically, a mix between Fox and Falco and Wolf, except without the suck of Wolf and with the changes I put in.

I look for a character with a unique moveset, one that's not so slow & heavy that it leaves you open for punishment, and a fairly decent jump.

I love Mr. Game & Watch, I also like Wario, Pokemon Trainer, Bowser, Olimar & ROB
