CO Smash: Summit 6!

Winter break? Time for a tournament!

Looks like this one's gonna be big; we've got players from Kansas, Utah and possibly Texas showing interest!

Events:
-Brawl Singles (Double Elim)
-Brawl Doubles (style depends on how many teams we get, is usually round robin though)
-Project: M (2.5) Singles (Double Elim)
(-Project: M Crew Battle: DENVER vs THE SPRINGS)

Entree Fees:
-Brawl Singles: $10
-Brawl Doubles: $10 Per Teammate ($20 per team)
-Project: M Singles: $10

Venue Fee is going to be a bit different this time around. Normally there's no venue fee, but since we've been reaching our limit with stuff provided by GameShack (mostly tables and chairs) I'm gonna have some incentives for bringing stuff. Any venue fees I end up with will go towards setup-related stuff for future tournaments (tables, CRTs, etc).
VENUE FEE: $5
Bring a table (large enough for a Wii and a TV): $2 Discount
Bring a CRT TV (of a usable size): $3 Discount
Bring a Wii with Brawl: $1 Discount ($2 if it has P:M 2.5 as well)
Bring Chairs: $1 per chair (preferably normal foldable chairs)

Schedule:

~10am: Venue opens, setup, friendlies
11am - 12pm: Registration for Brawl Doubles and Project: M Singles
12pm: Begin Brawl Doubles
12:30pm: Begin Project: M Singles
3pm/4pm: Begin Brawl Singles
11:30pm: Getting out of the venue (we usually finish before this though)
(After P:M Singles: Project: M Denver vs Springs Crew Battle)

Rulesets:
Brawl: Unity v2.0 (MK Banned)
Project: M: TBD

Game Shack @ the Southlands Mall

There is a food place in Game Shack called the Snack Shack. The food is relatively cheap and they have a pretty good selection. There are also other food places around Southlands but I would recommend this since it's within shouting distance of where the setups are.

We offer everything from cheesesticks to french fries, hotdogs with or without the chili, and of course our exclusive Soesbe’s Pizza. We have a full line of Coke products and also carry about every Monster drink known to man, and a few aliens.

Housing info yet? I'm planning on driving up with some other UT dudez.

Also, I think UT guys want to do a crew battle against CO. Would you guys be down?

Gonna start asking around for housing, I know a couple people who can probably house quite a few OoS'ers

Crew battle for Brawl or P:M? We'd probably be down for either.

I'm talking Brawl. We only have one or two P:M players here and I don't know if they're coming out. We'll see. But definitely Brawl. How soon will you know about housing?

Still getting word on whether or not Soapy will be able to house, would help if we knew how many you guys are bringing though.

Also I'll rally the troops for a crew battle.

Prolly bringing between 4 and 7 people, possibly more. We're still working out the driving situation.

Hey I wanna play today I'm super bored. I joined the group but I gotta get accepted. Someone hit me up I'm down to do whatever and I live in green valley ranch. Supposedly I'm only like 20 mins from 5he southland mall gonna check it out today.

I just wanted to ask the question who from Texas is interested in coming? I know the only person who I know who can go is on a cruise for a while.

I wouldn't count anything out yet. People may not be talking about it online, fair enough, but I know from experience that post counts don't mean jack to the final turnout.

CO Smash does almost all of its stuff on FB, which is why there isn't much CO discussion in our tourney threads.

I'm gonna do another ask around for housing.
