Jab reset bug

When jab-resetting, a characters seem to be in their standing idle position and able to be hit. I have a couple quick videos of it happening

(originally shown to prove Link can jab reset on the first hit, consistently)

-One at about 0:05 on DK. Down smash misses
-Another at 0:45 on Snake. Same thing. This could be from the slight invincibility they get on stand up. Either way, it looks strange.

-Shortly after 1:00. DDD goes to grab DK. Stange miss

I'm going to go with that, but I would like to hear the reasons behind why is it that way or why they did it as well.

No idea. I found it on the internet probably 10 years ago, and thought it was the best thing ever
