Appearances in games
-Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards (one of the main characters - playable in minigames)
-Kirby's Dreamland 3 (as Ado - important role, starring as the main character of the credits in the true ending)
-Kirby Triple Deluxe (as Ado - keychain cameo)

*in the game Amiibo Tap, Kirby's Dreamland 3 is one of the classic games selected from the NES and SNES era, and Ado's bossfight has been selected as one of the most important scenes of the game (scene 6).
Since the full name of the game is "Amiibo Tap: Nintendo's Greatest Bits", Ado's bossfight can asfely be considered as one of Nintendo's greatest bits. This is not the case for Paint Roller, that's not present in the scenes from Kirby's Adventure.

Why Adeleine in Smash
Nowadays the character of Adeleine is not much popular, but many Kirby fan still remember her. She appeared few times in Kirby games, but her character demonstrated to have potential and creativity.
Ado/Adeleine was not a completely new concept to the series: she was based on Paint Roller, appeared for the first time on NES, in the game Kirby's Adventure; the greatest difference between Adeleine and Paint Roller is that Paint Roller is just a boss, a mere boss with no personality at all, while Adeleine was developed into a full character, with a role and a proper personality. For some reasons, HAL decided to not use this character anymore after Kirby 64, so we haven't seen her in a while, not even as cameo (probably due to the debates of which i'll talk later). This made the character less popular and relevant nowadays, but at the same time it enforced the correlation between Adeleine and the "Dark Matter saga" of Kirby. The "Dark Matter saga" is a sub-branch of the Kirby series, composed by 3 games: Kirby's Dreamland 2, Kirby's Dreamland 3 and Kirby 64. Those games are traditional platformers, not spinoffs (gameplay-wise), but they are all developed differently from most Kirby platformers: the visual style is more simplicistic and more artistic/abstract, Kirby doesn't have hats, and the gameplay is based on the combination of elemental abilities with Kirby's animal friends, or in the case of Kirby 64, on the combination of 2 abilities each other (those games also have in common the fact that the main enemy in the story is a creature of the Dark Matter race - dark cloudy creatures who can control anyone's mind and that they are also directed by the same director, Shinichi Shimomura). Despite most recent Kirby games take inspiration from Kirby Superstar, the "Dark Matter saga" is considered part of the main series, since those games are, by title, direct sequels of the original Kirby's Dreamland (2 and 3) and Kirby 64 is the first Kirby game with polygonal graphics; After Kirby 64 there weren't any Kirby games on home console for many years, aside from the spin-off Kirby Air Ride.
The purpose of Adeleine in Smash is to represent that branch of the Kirby franchise that too often gets forgotten.
Adeleine is also one of the most relevant character in the franchise, being in 2 classic games (in Kirby's Dreamland 3 as Ado) that are part of the 20th anniversary collection, and having a major role in both of them (especially in Kirby 64).
After Adeleine, the trend of putting magical painter characters in Kirby continued, in fact 2 new magical painters are now added to the series, Drawcia and Paintra (they're both evil, and they have also a backstory involving a mysterious ancient artist).
EDIT: Elline is a new magical painter from Kirby Rainbow Curse. She is a fairy that can transform herself into a paintbrush and does basically the same thing as Adeleine, her drawings become real; Now this trend is becoming very recurring and the need of a magical painter in Smash to represent all of them is each time greater than before; Adeleine would be the most fitting character, being a friend of Kirby, a classic character, and being in more than just one mainstream game. The paint-comes-to-life thing is becoming an important and very recurring part of the kirby series.
A little trivia: Adeleine was going to be playable in Kirby 64, along with Dedede and Waddle Dee, but for some reason this feature was removed in the final game, and those characters are only playable in the minigames.

*EDIT 7/23/2014* Kirby Fighters Z is out in the Japanese eshop, and the ability select menu has a new remix of Adeleine's theme from Kirby 64 as backgrouns music. The version of Kirby Fighter bundled into Kirby Triple Deluxe had the same music, but it was simply ported as it was in Kirby 64; now they did a remix. Probably this means nothing, but there is a small chance that it will be the theme of Adeleine in future games, maybe they are bringing her back. Let's hope!

Another reason for putting Adeleine in Smash is the fact that she's the only relevant female character of the Kirby franchise (excluding Ribbon who was an "one-shot" character). Looks like one of the goals of this new Smash is to introduce new female characters into the roster, and it looks like it's also a goal for Nintendo in general, since they're trying to put more female characters in other franchises as well, to appeal more to the female audience (Splatoon, Super Mario 3D World: Peach and Rosalina; They're even discussing about giving the option to play as female Link in this interview). As much as I think that we have enough female characters in Smash right now, I think that the presence of Adeleine would still be useful, because she would become popular again and she would most likely appear again in future Kirby games as well. Kirby is still missing of a female character in the main cast, and Adeleine would be perfect for that role.

Another fun fact is (spoiler about the end of the story of Kirby Triple Deluxe)
The People of the Sky are several sky fairies who look similar to the fairies of Kirby 64 (the main differences are in the style of the face/eyes and the absence of feets). The main fairy, the pink one, has some resemblances with Ado's old sprite, especially in proportions and hairstyle.

*EDIT 11/26/2014* This trend continues. Some new informations about Kirby Rainbow Curse are revealed, and there is a new character that's a fairy similar to the ones above, and at the same time she's another magical painter. This is at the same time a good and a bad thing, since looks like she's replacing Adeleine's role. Anyway, the new painter looks a lot like a one shot character, so I'm not really concerned about she replacing Adeleine.
Once again, no feet. Looks like HAL uses this trick in modern Kirby games so the characters can't be seen as human-like; maybe?

Like for Adeleine's music in Kirby Fighters Z, maybe this means nothing, but maybe it is instead an attempt of HAL to unify the Kirby series creating a world where characters from the Superstar-like kirby games and characters from the Dark Matter saga fit in a single art style that's something in the middle of the two. This would be a good news for Adeleine fans, because it would rise the possibilities of a return of this character in the future.

The Adeleine/Ado debates
The most annoying aspect of this character is the debates that the fans created around her, due to the very few informations that HAL released about this character.

-Adeleine is a boy - False. The instruction book of Kirby 64 refers to her as "her"

-Ado is a boy - False. It was clear since the start for me, but it got confirmed by HAL in the booklet of Kirby's Dream Collection.

-Are Adeleine and Ado the same person or 2 separate characters?
On this subject, HAL left the mystery purposely open. They stated on the booklet of Kirby's Dream Collection, that it's unknown if they're separate or not, but it is possible that Ado is just a nickname for Adeleine. Anyway, I like to think that they're one single character, it wouldn't make sense having 2 characters around who are the exact same thing, and even if they are separate, they can be considered as 2 instances of the same character (just like Link: Ocarina of Time Link and Twilight Princess Link are technically 2 separate characters but they're still 2 instances of the character Link).
The 20th Anniversary Hoshi no Kirby Pupupu Taizen leaves this issue open-ended, although it suggests it is likely that Ado is merely Adeleine's nickname.
http://kirby.wikia.com/wiki/Adeleine

-Last, the fact that Sakurai doesn't want human characters in the Kirby series.
This is a really bad problem, and to me it makes very little sense at all. He doesn't want human characters in Kirby, and I agree with him, but Adeleine is not even human. She is just a bit more detailed than a Poppy Bros., she is a little higher than 8 inches (Kirby is 8 inches height, it's impossible for a human being so small unless she is a newborn who she is not -.-), and lastly, there already are other characters in the series who resemble or are humans. The Bonkers are strange creatures, but they looks like monkeys, because of the fur. Anyway, Bonkers have human proportions and elements. Knuckle Joe looks like a chibi human, just like Adeleine, but Sakurai hasn't any problem in putting him in the series. Etc.
The only moment when Adeleine looks like a real human character, is during the ending of the game, in the artworks; but it could simply be taken as not canon.
Ado/Adeleine looking like a 8/9 year old human in the credits of both games

Anyway her proportions change from artwork to artwork.
I think she needs to be redesigned a bit in order to look more chibi and more similar to other Kirby characters in proportions and graphic style (64 did it almost right, but I think that they should simplify her design a little more), and she should definitely be shorter than King Dedede (in Kirby 64 sometimes looks like she's a little bit taller than him, while in Kirby 3 she changes height several times).

My moveset (and more) concept

-Normal moves (A)

Miiverse sketches

In the description below, I changed the A neutral move; now she slashes the paintbrush from up to down, not horizontally like in this sketch.

All the A moves are influenced by a B move called paint charge. Adeleine's brush is charged with paint. After performing some moves, the brush will run out of paint and all the subsequent moves will be weakened. Adeleine needs to use paint charge once again in order to restore the full power of her paintbrush.
This move will affect her special moves (B) as well; in fact all the moves of this character are based on this "reload" mechanics, like in an FPS game when you need to reload your weapon.

With a fully charged paintbrush, Adeleine's A moves have an additional attack range, because she also launches some paint drops with each hit; the drops become smaller and less dense when the paint charge is consuming, and when the charge is completely gone she doesn't launch them at all.

The normal brush attacks are very weak, and the hitstun time is short, so it's very possible that she will get a counter attack after each hit. The paint drops add a lot of hitstun time to the hits, and for a small amount of time they remain attached on the opponent, draining his % points (lasts 1 second or a little more); this is similar to Lip's Stick or the Pikmins launched by Olimar, but it's still a bit different in how it works.
Visually, when the paintbrush is fully charged, you can see (looking closely) small paint bubbles/particles jumping out from the top of the brush, that's colored with red, blue and yellow paint. As the paintbrush runs out of paint, the small colored particles become smaller and the top of the brush starts losing its colors. When the charge is gone, only the very top of the brush mantains its red-yellow-blue colors, and the paint particles stop coming out (they are only a visual effect though, those particles don't give damages to the opponents).
In the description of the A moves, I'll talk about "normal range" and "spray range": Normal range is the hitbox of the brush, while the spray range is the distance that the paint drops can reach assuming that the paint charge is at his max value.

A neutral
Adeleine slashes her brush (from up to down) in the direction she's facing at, in one single hit. This shot, as many other A moves, is similar to a sword attack of the characters who use a sword as main weapon. This move has a very short spray range.

air A neutral
Adeleine faces at the screen and spins her arm in circle (1 time) with the paintbrush. This move is very weak but it's easy to hit with it. The normal range is very long, and it hits at 360°, but it won't deal much damage in the center of the "circle". This move can also spread many paint drops in every direction, but they're weak and this move can consume the paint charge really fast. Without paint charge, the move is almost useless, but it has a wide range so can be used to stop enemies' attacks sometimes (kinda like Kirby's air hammer in Melee but with less lag).

A + left/right (not smash)
It's very similar to the A neutral attack, but instead of moving the brush from up to down, she moves it horizontally; the move can also be directioned diagonally up or down by tilting the analog stick with the right timing. This has a longer normal attack range than A neutral, and a longer spray attack also, but to perform it, Adeleine has to extend herself leaning on just one of her foots, almost losing her balance. This will cause a bit of extra lag at the end of the hit, but the lag can be reduced if the hit is succesful in the normal range (similar to Kirby's dash grab: when he fails he does an animation where he almost trips).

This is a picture from the beta version of Kirby 64: the move that she's doing in this picture looks very similar to the move that I described here.

A + left/right smash
The same as above (A + left/right not smash), tilting included, except that it's faster (but there is some lag at the beginning to charge the hit) and stronger. There is also another big difference: the normal attack range is shorter, because this time Adeleine doesn't lean on one foot to extend the range but she stays in place (so, the lag at the end is short); the spray range is instead longer and without charging the smash, it can reach the same distance of the move described above (despite the shorter normal range), while charging it, the spray range can reach even longer distances.

air A + left/right forward
Adeleine spins mid-air and at the same time she does some damage with the paintbrush. As the air A neutral, this move also consumes much of the paint charge, but this is actually a good move for dealing some damage. It resembles a bit some moves like Link's B+up or DK's B+up, but it's slower (in spinning speed; she actually spins just 1 time, Link and DK spin several times at once) and lasts shorter (less than 1 second). Anyway, this move gives Adeleine a very small boost forward and slows a little bit the falling speed, but it has a long lag at the end. If you hit an enemy with this move, he will get stunned and pushed away in the opposite direction as you (and up). It can't push very far, but can deal several hits (2-3) that, if the paint charge is high enough, can deal a lot of damage. It has also a small spray range at the left and right sides, but that's not much relevant.
Who played Sonic Advance 2 or Sonic Rush/Rush Adventure knows that R+forward after a spring does a very similar move; here is where I took inspiration for this. It's not Kirby or Adeleine related, but for some reasons I think that it's fitting, since it looks a bit like a dance step (more precisely, of figure skating).

In fact, probably this move is more similar to New Super Mario Bros' mid-air spin, but because of the hitbox and the paint spinning around, it visually resembles Sonic's move more.
Adeleine is stronger on land, but she's very fast mid-air, because most of her air moves are made to allow the player to escape from dangerous situations more than for kicking out the opponents; in fact her strongest moves are all special moves (B), the normal moves are mainly used to drain some % and stun/keep far the opponents.

air A + left/right backward
Adeleine watches back with her head, and prepares herself for a hit from up to down with the paintbrush. After a little lag, Adeleine rotates horizontally by 180° and does a fast and strong hit; there is another little lag then the character rotates by the remaining 180° facing the same direction she was before starting the move. This is slow but it's an average powerful move; it resembles Peach's slap a bit (melee), but it's weaker. It sends the enemies back-down and it can be used as KO move because it's a meteor hit with a long hitstun, it's almost a spike. On the stage it's difficult to kill with this move, because it sends the opponents down; it's more useful for edge-hogging. The spray range is medium, but it doesn't push the enemies, only the normal range does (as in every other move).

A + down
Adeleine is crouched and slashes her brush horizontally near the ground. It has the same normal range as the A + left/right smash move, while the spray range is very short. The damage is similar to A + left/right not smash, a bit less, but it's a faster move with less lag.

A + down smash
Adeleine keeps her paintbrush upward while charging the move. Like every smash move, the lag at the beginning depends on how much do you charge it, anyway there is a small lag at the start even if you don't charge it. When Adeleine starts, she fastly moves her brush to the ground, and does a spin (like if she's dancing) leaning on a foot, drawing a circle on the floor, that pops after she finishes drawing it. This move has not spray range, but the power of the small explosion of the circle depends on the paint charge, and she won't draw the circle at all if the charge is gone. The charge of the smash only changes how much damage she will deal with the normal hitbox of the paintbrush, the power of the drawn circle only depends on the paint charge. The player can decide how to balance this move. The circle will send the opponents up, while the brush will send the opponent away left or right; if the smash is charged enough and/or the opponents have high %, it's possible that they are thrown away before hitting the explosion of the circle; it's better to not charge the smash if you want to launch your opponents up instead (it can be useful for combos); the launch distance of the brush is very dynamic in this move.
The circle can be drawn even if you're near a ledge, it will partially float mid-air; it's not a problem since it's made with magical paint (the character have to be on land though).
The inspiration for this move comes from Kukuri (Mahoujin Guruguru), a character from an old anime who has similar powers to Adeleine's; she can summon several creatures and spells drawing magical circles; the anime is a parody of the RPG games.

air A + down
I said that Adeleine is stronger on land than mid-air, but it's not completely true. She is very strong in meteor hits, because she doesn't have any special moves that attacks from above, and to balance things, I gave her some strong hits that send the enemies down. One is air A backward, and the other move is this. This move is the only one that's not influenced by the paint charge, because she doesn't use the paint at all. It's a single kick from above that pushes the opponents down. Adeleine curls up and after a small lag, she sends a strong kick with both feets under her. It's not the strongest meteor hit, but it's definitely a good KO move. Performing this kick, the falling speed of Adeleine is slighty reduced for a moment like with the air A forward move.
This move is slighty inspired by the minigame "100-Yard Hop" of Kirby 64.

A + up
This move is similar to Toon Link's up smash (Brawl), but in this case it's not a smash. Adeleine slashes her paintbrush above her, 1 single hit. It's a fast move, not very powerful and with a very short spray range. It's not a very good move, better to use it when the enemy has high %, or he could counter attack easily. It may be useful though, because it'r very fast with very little lag.

A + up smash
The same of A+up, with a longer lag at the beginning, and all the elements of the smash attacks (chargeable, longer spray range that becomes even longer if charged, more powerful). As a smash hit, this is a bit weak.

air A + up
This is also similar to A+up; in fact it's almost the same move, but it has a longer lag at the end. Adeleine is not very good at launching enemies up, with the A hits at least.

rush A
This is one of Ado/Adelenie's trademark moves. She actually does this move in the original games, and it's the only move that's not a drawing that she does during the boss fight.

Exactly this. Adeleine runs across the stage swinging the paintbrush in front of her, with a desperate expression and some small droplets behind her head (anime style). This is a funny move that resembles Luigi's dash attack, anyway it's a bit stronger and with longer hitstun. There is a spray range as well, but it's very limited.

A combo + finisher
The A combo starts tapping the A button again after an A neutral move on ground (or in the case of brawl, holding it). The combo hits are similar to the move described as rush A, the only difference is that she does it in place and doesn't run across the stage this time. In Super Smash Bros for WiiU and 3DS, every character has a finisher move after a combo. Adeleine's finisher move is inspired by the picture shown when the player loses vs Ado in Kirby's Dreamland 3's boss butch.

If the combo is succesful, the opponent is stunned for a while, and Adeleine has the time to smear his face with some paint. The effect is similar to the popping circle of A+down smash; the paint will make a small explosion after this move, and the power of the explosion depends on the paint charge. If the paint charge is gone, the attack is very weak, something like 1% or 2% (no explosion), but if there is even a small explosion, the attack can be quite powerful.
-Special moves (B)
The special moves are influenced by paint charge as well, but even if the paint charge is gone, you can still perform all the moves, they are only weaker. There is not spray range in these moves, they're all based on Adeleine's magical powers.
B neutral
This move is a bit slow (2 sec.), but it's very powerful. A floating square cloud appears behind the stage (the cloud is as big as an item box more or less); Adeleine uses this cloud as a canvas. This is not the first time Adeleine used a cloud as a canvas... she was Ado (depends if you prefer those two characters as one or as 2 separate), but still.

This is very useful, Adeleine can draw anything without the need of carry an easel around!
Adeleine draws an enemy from kirby games (or items, but it's rare), then she points her paintbrush forward and the creature she drew comes out from the canvas and become true. Visually, the drawn creatures have the same crayon-like effect like it was in the original games (items excluded).
The main goal in fighting as Adeleine, is to gain the control of the stage and to fill it with drawings. Those drawings are like little (not really) moving bombs, that can deal many % of damage and are able to throw away those who hit them. They are a little stronger than Samus' missiles and if the player is good enough, there is plenty of occasions for drawing them when the opponent is stunned or simply when he's trying to return on the stage. The drawings are random, but most of them attack forward, so there are places where you are almost sure to hit every time, regardless of what creature Adeleine will draw.
Inspiration for this move: Ado and Adeleine's boss fight, and the last room of Cloudy Park level 6 (Kirby's Dreamland 3) (video in the spoiler).
From 4:51 to 5:13
This move can be performed mid-air as well; her falling speed is canceled when she does a drawing, she falls again only when the drawing is finished (there is no difference from ground to mid-air in the random of the drawings, both ground and flying enemies can come out in both situations). During the drawing animation, Adeleine skips some frames like if she's moving in stop-motion (this also happens in the original games - look at the boss fight videos at the top of this post).
There are flying and ground drawings, all of them start moving in the direction Adeleine is facing at. The drawings (with some exceptions that I will explain later) pop like balloons when they hit a player or an hitbox of any kind (items, stage hazards, etc.); for the first second after they're created, they don't explode if Adeleine hits them, but after the first second they can hurt her as well; if reflected, they can hurt her from the start. Adeleine can draw up to 3 enemies; if she draws a 4th enemy the oldest will automatically pop; this way you can fill the stage with 3 enemies and 1 explosion hitbox at the same time for a moment (items don't count as enemies).
When a ground drawing falls after a ledge, it still goes forward a bit but slowly; the drawings are light and their falling speed is slow (like Jigglypuff's).
When a drawing (ground or flying) hits a wall, his horizontal direction is reflected. If a flying drawing hits the ceiling, it will continue flying until he pops.
A drawing will automatically explode after 12 seconds.
This move is influenced by paint charge: with an higher value of paint charge you have higher probabilities to get a rare drawing; extremely rare drawings (which are as rare as getting a bob-omb or a baseball bat with Peach's B+down) have an additional rule: the paint charge has to be at the max value, and it has to be your first drawing after 10 seconds (this is also applied to Kirby, even if he removes and copies again Adeleine's ability, the 10 seconds are not resetted) This is to avoid people spamming this move in order to get a maxim tomato.
Adeleine is one of the few character who can heal herself even if the items are disabled, the others are Ness, Lucas and Robin; the only one who can heal without even an opponent (this is good for the all stars mode), and who can heal the team mates (she can let the healing items to them). The healing abilities of Adeleine are inspired by the fact that in Kirby 64 she draws maxim tomatos and 1up for Kirby, and in a cutscene of the game she is shown drawing food for her friends in the middle of a desert.
-Drawings:
Waddle Dee

Ground enemy - runs forward - normal damage
N-Z

Ground enemy - runs forward but faster than Waddle Dee - normal damage
Bouncy

Ground enemy - slowly moves forward, bouncing - normal damage
Adeleine can take advantage of the fact that this enemy is slow and can jump: this means that it will stay on the stage for more time (it's less probable that it would fall just after being created) and the player can try to push the opponents into it.
-Rare drawings:
the rare drawings are common, they just come out a bit less often than the regular ones, but still often enough.
Bronto Burt

Flying enemy - moves forward, flying; at first it loses height a bit, then, when it's almost touching the ground (if summoned on ground; the ground is just a reference, if summoned mid-air it will not go down to the ground), it will gradually slow down its horizontal speed and it will start going up - normal damage
If it's stuck on a ceiling you can try to push enemies into it; it will bounce a bit on the ceiling and it will still mantain some horizontal speed even if he's going up.
Mumbies

Flying enemy - It will slowly chases its target, who's the nearest enemy (it works with Smash Run's enemies as well) that goes across his attack range (it will float randomly like a smashball if there are no targets in his range); it can hurt Adeleine if she its it, but it will never target at her; it can't fly through solid ground - double damage
This is one of the best enemies that Adeleine can draw: It chases the enemies, it's slow so you can try pushing enemies into it, and it's powerful.
-Very rare drawings:
Very rare drawings are indeed very rare. You need to use this same move from 20 to 50 times in order to get one of these... maybe even more. If you fight for an hour, it's possible that you get 3-4 very rare drawings (even 10 or more times if you spam the move, but it's not a good idea against skilled players).
Pacto

Flying enemy - it's bigger than the canvas, so after the drawing is finished, it will grow to its correct size; it's horizontally oriented unlike in this picture; it goes forward a bit, closes its mouth and bytes the enemies who are in his range; its byte can deal big damages, and at the end, it will also explode. If there isn't any enemy to byte, he will simply close his mouth; it can't byte Adeleine (unless reflected) because he will close his mouth before the first second after his creation, and as said above, Adeleine can't be hurt by her own drawings during the first second; if someone (Adeleine included) hits it after it's mouth is already closed, it will explode; Its movement pattern reminds the one of Porygon 2.0 in melee; like every other drawing, if there is a wall in its way, it will change direction: Adeleine has to escape in this case, or it will explode after a second. Unlike other drawings, it will last just 3 seconds if misses, 5 seconds if it bytes someone; at the end it explodes anyway - double damage + byte damage
It's hard to hit with this because you have to be near your opponent, but if you are succesfull you almost win a free stock.
Food

Item
It's the normal food of Super Smash Bros. It can heal anyone, just watch out and don't let the opponent take it. It's only one single piece of food, so it doesn't heal too much, but it's still something.
-Extremely rare drawings:
These ones are almost impossible to get, but once in a while they'll surprise you. Just be careful, both of those drawings are dangerous for all players, you included.
Maxim Tomato

Item
It's the regular maxim tomato from the standard items of Super Smash Bros. Don't let your enemies take it!
Bob-omb

Item
It's the regular bob-omb from the standard items of Super Smash Bors as well. This is the most dangerous thing that Adeleine can draw. Unlike Peach, when Adeleine creates a bob-omb, it will be on the stage and she has to grab it in order to use it.
Some Miiverse sketches of this move

B + left/right
This move works differently on ground and mid-air. On ground, Adeleine slaps the paintbrush on the ground creating a magical wave of paint (the color is random generated and it's different each time, but it's just a visual effect that has no impact in the gameplay). This move is inspired by Kirby 64's minigame "Checker board Chase".
The lenght of the paint wave depends on the paint charge value: it's longer if the paint charge is higher. It works in a similar way as the wave created by Kirby with his B+up move after landing, but it's more powerful. If the wave goes on a platform that can fall (like the ones in Rainbow Ride in Melee), it will make the platform fall, even if nobody is on that platform, just like in the gameplay of the minigame where this move comes from (not very useful, it's just an easter egg). On contact with an enemy, this moves works like Piplup in Brawl: it drags the opponent away giving several hits to him; when the wave finishes, it will send a last hit that is a lot stronger, and launches the enemy away-up very far. This move is perfect for throwing away the opponents and gaining some time to make some drawings; it's also a good KO move.
A Miiverse sketch of this move
Mid-air, she moves the paintbrush up and down a couple of times creating several random-colored floating flowers (they are all of the same color, but the color is different each time, like for the move on ground), which disappear after 2 seconds (they fall very slowly when they're created). If the paint charge is not charged, she will only draw 3 flowers, while if the paint charge is at its max value, she can draw 8 flowers. The cloud of flowers has the same effect as Weezing (in melee): it stuns the player who comes into its range with several small hits until it disappears; as the move on ground, the last hit is stronger and launches enemies away (not too far though). This move can give some high damages if Adeleine manages to trap the opponent inside the flower cloud, and it can also give her more than 2 seconds of time to do a paint charge or some drawings,

B + down
This is the paint charge. It works in a similar way to Samus' beam charge or DK's punch, but it doesn't shoot anything at the end; the purpose of this move is only to power up the entire moveset, the move itself isn't an attack. To perform a full paint charge, you need to hold B+down for 3 seconds, anyway, you can also charge it gradually; the minimum time of a paint charge is 1 second, and you can do 3 separate paint charges in order to reach the max value if you prefer. All the moves of Adeleine are influenced by this, and all the moves decrease the paint charge value as well; some moves decrease it faster, some slower.
As I said in the A moves description, when you do a paint charge, you can see the top of the brush becoming more colored and spreading several small colored particles which are just a graphical effect to advice the player of the level of the charge. To perform this move, Adeleine simply takes some paint from the palette with the paintbrush.

This move can be done mid-air as well, and it modifies the falling speed similar to Ness' B+up (Adeleine stop falling for a moment, then slowly accelerates her falling speed).
*EDIT* one custom move of this could be the rage mode. When the rage mode is actived, Adeleine becomes faster and stronger (normal moves) for a small amount of time. Kinda like the monado skills.
The rage mode could also be used at the same time as the paint charge, and it would be actived instead of the paint charge if the character has reached 100%
Taunting would automatically disable the rage mode, and it needs to be activated again (you need to wait for a cooldown, just like the monado skills).
A Miiverse sketch of this move

B + up
For this one, I decided to give to Adeleine an ability that she never had in the games. Why? Because it's still related to magical paintings in the world of Kirby. The move consists in drawing a rainbow line and rolling onto it, like in Kirby Canvas Curse. That game was recived very well by both players and critics, they're even doing a sequel to it on WiiU, and its gameplay is so good that it has to be represented in Smash. What's better than a magical painter from the universe of Kirby to represent it?

This move can be performed mid-air or on ground, it will be the same; if it's performed on the ground, Adeleine automatically does a little jump to allow the creation of the rainbow line under her feets. Adeleine moves her brush from down to up (this small animation has also an hitbox and does some damages) and a star appears below her. In this moment she's stopped mid-air and can't fall until the move is completed or interrupted by an enemy. From the star below, another star will start moving in diagonal up direction (the first star will stay in place, only the second star is moving). The two stars are connected by a rainbow line.
The rainbow line is not solid yet, but the stars can be hit by opponents. If an opponent hits Adeleine, the star below her or the moving star, the rainbow line is destroyed and the move is interrupted; Adeleine would start falling. The player can control the moving star just like Ness' B+up, with the difference that the both the star and the rainbow line can't deal any damage. You can control the star until the paint charge is finished, or until you press B again (this way you can finish the line without consuming all the charge). If you hit a wall or a solid surface while controlling the star, it will stop moving and the line is considered finished as well.
The line advices you when you're running out of paint charge, just like in the original game (Kirby Canvas Curse) it will flash red when the charge is almost finished; doing loops and curved lines consume less than making straight lines, because this move encourages you to draw a loop.
When the moving star is stopped and the rainbow line is finished, it becomes solid and Adeleine starts rolling on it. While rolling, Adeleine hurts anyone she hits; she does high damage and launches very far. If Adeleine's paint charge is at its max value, she can draw a loop with the rainbow line, that, just like in the original game, will double both the speed and the damage power of this move, making this the strongest hit of this character.
When the line becomes solid, it will stay in the stage for 5 seconds, and during this time any other character can ride it. While riding the line, it's not possible to stop rolling; the direction is fixed and it's the same direction as how the line was drawn. A solid line can still be destroyed if one of the two stars at the edges is hit by someone (Adeleine can do this as well). If the line is broken or disappears while someone is still rolling on it, the rolling characters are launched through the direction they were rolling (doing damages) until the momentum pushes them, then they fall in a vulnerable state (this also happens if a character rides the line until the end).
To ride the line, you must land on it in a solid part of it. Not every part of the line is solid: it depends on the angle; it's solid until 45°, and it's not solid when it's upside down (the top of the loops for example). It's always possible to jump through the rainbow line from below, even at a solid part. The rolling characters can't detach from the line (as long as it's not destroyed or vanished), so you can draw any shape without caring of the gravity or anything; this is Adeleine's only strong attack from down to up, and it's very strong, but it's also risky and tricky to do (doing this move, remember that your character is the "bullet", be careful). If you do this move when your paint charged is completely consumed, you are still able to do it but the rainbow line will be very short.
This move can also be used as trap, to force the enemies into a direction decided by you, and it has a very good strategic value.
*EDIT* Now that Smash 4 is out, I can notice that Pac-man's B side is very similar to this move, concept-wise.
Some Miiverse sketches of this move

-Grabs
Adeleine's grabs are all similar. when Adeleine starts a grab, the cloudy canvas appears behind the stage and she appears (in a frame, stop-motion like) in front of it slashing the brush on it one time. If the grab fails, the empty canvas will disappear and the in next frame Adeleine will return in her starting pose; if it's a dash grab, she will do an animation where she almost trips, inspired by the minigame "Bumper Crop Bump" of Kirby 64
If the grab is successful, the grabbed enemy is captured into the canvas, and a drawing of a Zebon or of a cannon (random) will appear on it (they have the same effect).

Zebon from Kirby's Dreamland 3 - it works like a cannon; when Kirby is inside, it starts rotating and the player can shoot kirby in the direction he's pointing by pressing a button. In some Kirby games, there are cannons which work in the same way.
When the enemy is trapped inside the drawing, you can hit him with A: Adeleine slashes the brush on the drawing and it deals some damage to the grabbed player. The player can escape from the grab, as always. When you start throwing the enemy, Adeleine points at the direction that you selected using the paintbrush (like she does in the games, she points forward with the brush when a drawing comes to life) and the Zebon/cannon becomes real, shooting the grabbed opponent in the selected direction. For all the directions, the animation is the same. The grabs aren't influenced by paint charge.
*EDIT* Another idea is to make a different drawing for each direction selected. For example, it could be Zebon for back throw, cannon for front throw, I^3 for down throw and Tick for up throw
I^3 is an enemy that acts similar to a Thwomp

Tick is a white blob with a red spike on the top. When you get close to his upper spike, he becomes a lot longer and tries to hurt you with it.
-Final smash
Boss Drawing!
Adeleine jumps in the background of the stage, and a big canvas on a wooden easel appears. Basically, what happens in this final smash is the replica of Ado's boss fight in Kirby's Dreamland 3, with the only difference that Adeleine draws 1 single boss (look at the videos at the beginning of this post for a playthrough of the boss battle).

There are 3 different bosses which Adeleine can draw, and they're random; each final smash consists in the drawing of only one of these 3 bosses. The bosses are very strong, but they can be defeated; it's almost impossible to defeat them with normal attacks (because they would hurt you on contact), it's better to throw bombs, pokèmons and long range attacks at them. When a boss is defeated, the final smash ends; if the boss is not defeated, the final smash lasts for 10 seconds. Adeleine remains on the big canvas, in the background of the stage; the player controls the boss. Bosses can move around, and they have 2 attacks (one mapped on A and the other mapped on B), they're easy to control (A moves add damage, B moves finish the enemies). The bosses are similar to Master Hand: they can't be moved or thrown away with attacks, and they have HPs instead of % (but the players can't see them). During the final smash, Adeleine will change her expression looking like she's possessed by Dark Matter.

(picture from here: http://challengerapproaching.tumblr.com/post/54193677653/what-do-you-consider-art)
These are the bosses that she can draw:
Kracko

This cloud can float and shoot thunders.
A - Kracko shoots a lightning below, and it lasts for 2 seconds. He can move during this move. It works similar to Pikachu's B+down, but it's a lot stronger and the ability of moving during this move gives it a bigger attack range.
B - Kracko shoots 4 lightning beams in 4 different directions (they're limited in lenght), and they starts spinning. During this move, Kracko can't move, and it will last until you release the B button.
Ice Dragon

This dragon can shoot ice from his mouth. It's the fastest and most agile boss of the 3. It's the only one who can't properly fly, but he's able to do floaty jumps by spinning his tail; he controls similar to a landmaster tank. His moves have a limited range, but he's fast and he can also attack with his body, launching himself onto the other players.
A - Ice Dragon uses his tail as a propeller and becomes faster for 2 seconds. He also blows a short range freezing breath during this move. Ice Dragon can move, stop and change direction but only on ground, he can't jump while doing this move. The move can be started mid-air, but you have to be careful to not fall because you can't jump in this state. Anyway, if the boss falls out from the stage, Adeleine won't lose a stock because she's still in the background of the stage.
B - Ice Dragon spits an ice spike and launches it with his tail. This move can be performed both mid-air and on ground, but doing this, Ice Dragon will stop moving horizontally for a while; the spike slides on the ground until there is a wall or a ledge: if there is a wall, it will break itself, while if there is a ledge, it will simply fall (Ice Climbers have a similar move, but this is a lot more powerful, it's part of a final smash after all). The ice spike is very fast and launches up, and when the dragon spins to launch the spike with his tail, he also throws enemies very far; it's a powerful move.
Dark Matter

Dark Matter is slow but has wide attack ranges and homing bullets; he can fly.
A - Dark Matter detaches all his orange spheres and start shooting them at random enemies; they automatically follow the target, because they're homing shots. Dark Matter can't move, and the attack will last until the player releases the A button.
B - Dark matter shoots 3 black lightnings in 3 directions: forward, diagonal forward-up and diagonal forward-down. The lightnings are very fast, long and powerful, they last for a split second each (with lag between each shot, the total time of this move is 2 seconds). Dark Matter can't move until the end. The 3 lightnings are fired in 1 direction at a time, and if the player doesn't tilt the analog stick, the lighting is fired forward. Tilting up or down will change the direction of the lightning, however you can't launch more than 1 lightning in the same direction, so if the player tries to tilt the analog stick in a direction that has already been hit by a previous lightning, the direction of the lightning is chosen random between the ones that are still unused. When you start this move, you can't stop it, it has to launch all the 3 lightnings first.
About the drawing of the bosses
All these bosses have already been drawn by Adeleine/Ado during the 2 boss fights of Kirby's Dreamland 3 and Kirby 64. The Dark Matter drawing in Kirby 64 was weak because Adeleine was one of the firsts bosses of the game, so I decided to take inspiration from the moveset of the real Dark Matter bosses in Kirby's Dreamland 2 and 3.

Kracko, Kirby's Dreamland 3

Ice Dragon, Kirby's Dreamland 3 and Kirby 64

Dark Matter, Kirby 64
It could also be a nice reference to Kirby Canvas Curse, if Adeleine, during her final smash, uses the Power Paintbrush instead of her regular one.

Some Miiverse sketches of this move

I switched Kracko and Dark Matter's moves, now A and B are inverted.
-Taunts
Up taunt
Adeleine faces at the screen and moves the paintbrush from right to left with an happy face. This taunt is inspired by a cutscene from Kirby 64, the one where she is not possessed by Dark Matter anymore and decides to follow Kirby in his adventure.

If the paint charge is high enough, Adeleine will also draw a rainbow while moving the paintbrush.
EDIT: Depending on if you consider the rage mode idea (instead of paint charge/B+down) as part of the moveset or not, this taunt could be replaced with Adeleine raging at the opponents. Maybe this taunt can be replaced with the rage one if Adeleine got more than 100% of damage and she's still alive.

Left/right taunt
The canvas appears and Adeleine draws something. Visually it's similar to B neutral, but instead of drawing enemies, adeleine draws several things (only one each time, but they're random, like Pacman's Namco roulette), making also some cameos of characters and elements from other Kirby games or from Nintendo in general.
This is inspired by Kirby's Dreamland 3: if you beat the Ado boss fight after collecting everything from the levels of Cloudy Park, Dark Matter will be removed from the zone and Ado would return normal; if you enter in the boss level again, instead of fighting you, she will draw things (a jewel, a shortcake, a Gameboy Color) on the canvas.

Down taunt
Adeleine lies down to the ground and starts drawing something on a small sketchbook using a crayon. If you look closely, she's drawing a Kirby, one of the animal friends (Pitch, Chuchu, Nago included), or Gooey (random).
This taunt is inspired by some of the pictures in the credits of Kirby's Dreamland 3.

This taunt is almost as long as Young Link's taunt in Melee.
-Misc.
Other moves
While using the shield move (L or R), Adeleine defends herself with the palette as if it was a shield.
The dodge animation of Adeleine is inspired by the minigame "Pumper Crop Bump" of Kirby 64 (look at the gameplay video at the beginning of this post).
The main victory animation is inspired by the victory animation of the minigames of Kirby 64, but instead of having a big number on her hand, she does the same trick with the paintbrush. Another victory animmation could be drawing a golden cup or a medal, or flowers on a canvas (a normal canvas on an easel), the picnic scene at the end of the levels of Kirby 64 (maybe with Kirby and the others replaced by the animal friends), etc.

Other moves such as the near ledge animation, stunned, etc. as well as facial expressions, are done taking inspiration from: the cutscenes of Kirby 64, the gameplay of the minigames of Kirby 64, the artworks of Kirby's Dreamland 3 and Kirby 64 (including the ones in the credits videos of both games), the boss battles of the two games, the level select screen of Kirby 64, the end level minigame, and every other appearance of this characters (Ado or Adeleine).

General properties
Adeleine is a light character, she's just a bit heavier than Kirby. Her speed is slighty above average, and her normal move have some lag (a bit above average but not too much), but she gives long hitstuns. Her special moves are slow and tricky but powerful, except for B side that's quite fast and it's still a powerful move.
Her strenght points are the meteor hits, stunning and gaining time from enemies, escaping from bad situations, the ability to take control over big areas of the stage.
Her weakness points are the weak normal moves (not throwing far), not enough moves to attack above, laggy and risky moves and random drawings.
The character logo is the same as Kirby's.

Overall
Adeleine's strategy is to keep distance from her opponents and to use long range attacks to hit them, but it's also to trap the opponent with % draining moves and other moves that can move them on the stage. She's a bit difficult to use at first, but after gaining a bit of experience, it's not too hard; she starts in disadvantage, but if the first hits are succesfull she can deal high damages and stun, compensating the initial disadvantage. An error is not forgiven, you must be very precise with her. If you play wrong, you will be with no paint charge and no control over the stage, forced to fight near your enemy where Adeleine is weak.
It's definitely not a character for beginners, but due to her weakness in normal moves and her random drawing move, it's also not one of the best choices for highly competitive players; it's mostly suited for experienced players who play for fun more than competitively. It's a great character for team matches, especially due to her ability to heal and her B+up that can be used by her teammate as well.
Some of Adeleine's moves have random values: this makes the character fun and unpredictable even for the player who uses her. That's her uniqueness, each attack is different, even using same move several times.
If there is going to be an All Stars mode in the new smash, Adeleine would be a lame character because she can heal herself by spamming paint charge and B neutral until some food is created. Sure, it's boring, but I know that some players would do this in order to have more chanches to survive in that mode.

Colors

(sorry for the bad quality of the picture)
The first one is the default color scheme.
2°, 3° and 4° are the alternative colors from multiplayer mode in the minigames of Kirby 64.
5° is inverted (red dress and green hat) with some other colors changed.
6° is based on Ado from Kirby's Dreamland 3 (she has also a different hairstyle).
7° is a dark version of Adeleine, inspired by Dark Matter.
8° is based on Elline from Kirby Rainbow Curse.

Kirby copy

Kirby copies Adeleine's B neutral move (as always), that's her ability to draw enemies. When Kirby copies this ability, his paint charge value is maxed, and when Kirby uses the move the paint charge decreases just like for Adeleine. The problem is that Kirby can't do the paint charge move, so he wouldn't be able to restore the value after consuming it. In that case, Kirby has to release Adeleine's ability and copy it again, if he wants the paint charge at the maximum value again. With an higher paint charge value, Kirby has more probabilities to make rare drawings. Anyway, as I said in the description of Adeleine's B neutral, the rule of the 10 seconds is also applied to Kirby (if he wants to find an extremely rare drawing, he must have the paint charge at the maximum value, and that has to be his first drawing in 10 seconds; releasing and copying the ability again won't reset the timer).
A Miiverse sketch of Adeleine Kirby
-Character theme and stage
Character theme
Adeleine already has a musical theme, and it's the one from the boss fight in Kirby 64.
This is the original music
This is the remix in Kirby Fighters Z (the rip is not avaliable yet; listen from 0:18 to 0:29 and from 7:54 to the end)
Anyway, this theme is probably too short, so I think it needs to be mixed with other tracks, or just Adeleine needs another theme that's not this.
There are other 2 tracks which can be used as Adeleine's theme: The 100% credits theme of Kirby's Dreamland 3, and the credidts theme of Kirby 64. While none of them are officially confirmed as Adeleine's theme, both credits videos feature several drawings, which are probably made by Adeleine (Ado in Kirby's Dreamland 3), making Adeleine the protagonist of the video even if she does not appear, or appears just in some short parts of it.

Credits at 0:41
These songs would be appropriate, because usually the character theme is played during the credits of the game when a mode is completed; using a credits song in a credits sequence would be fitting.
Other possible themes for Adeleine (indirectly related to her) are:
The bad ending credits of Kirby's Dreamland 3
The minigames music of Kirby's Dreamland 3 (It's short, it needs to be mixed with something else)
The opening theme of Kirby's Dreamland 3 (It's short too)
Some musics from Kirby's Dreamland 3 levels
Sand Canyon 1
the next one is sad, so it's not suited, but maybe a part of it could be used in a remix
some worldmap musics for remixes (they're too short)
this one is nice but reminds me of the animal friends more than Adeleine
this is a bit short as well, but it could be mixed
Grass Land 1 (this one is in Kirby 64 as well)
Grass Land 2
Cloudy Park
The music of the minigame "Bumper Crop Bump" from Kriby 64 (I think this is incredibly fitting)
The music of the forest level on Pop Star from Kirby 64
The music of the black spaceship on Rock Star from Kirby 64 (this also fits the character a lot)
The theme of the first level of Kirby 64
Other musics from Kirby 64
Aqua Star level
Aqua Star map (short)
Shiver Star 2 (Butter Building remix)
Training
Pop Star map
Or others, still from Kirby's Dreamland 3 or Kirby 64.
Alternatively, a remix of some of the songs listed above could be used as Adeleine's theme, or simply the same theme as Kirby (preferabily not).

Victory theme
She could use the same victory theme of Kirby, or alternatively, the victory theme of the minigames of Kirby 64.

Character stage
Not every character must have a specific stage, but since we're just imagining how this character would be if she was in Smash, let's assume that she also has a stage.
Let's start with the possible stages:
-Factory from Shiver Star (Kirby 64)

It's one of the most popular levels of Kirby 64, it also got a stage in Kirby Fighters.
I think it doesn't fit too much with the character and since we already have the Halberd stage, other mechanical/dark stages are not needed.
A stage here would feature mechanical gimmicks, gigantic hammers and conveyor belts.
-Dark Star (Kirby 64 - Hyper Zone in Kirby's Dreamland 3)

This is the place where the fight between Kirby and 0, the leader of the Dark Matters, takes place. For the same reason as above, it would be better to not put this stage in because it's dark, and there is already the Halberd as dark stage... but this would be cool, with 0, 02 or Dark Matter as stage hazard, and musics from the boss battles of the 2 games (02's music is pretty popular also).
-Ripple Star Castle (Kirby 64)

This is one of the most important places of the game, and it's involved in the plot of the game (where the crystal and the fairy queen are; Kirby and friends search a way underground to enter in the castle that's sealed by Dark Matter; after the end of the game, Kirby and the others are rewarded with a crystal shaped medal for saving the fairies from Dark Matter - inside the castle).

The problem with this stage is that it represents Ribbon more than Adeleine.
There are some popular tunes in this place as well, and they are also used in recent Kirby games (Returns to Dreamland, Triple Deluxe, Super Star Ultra). One is the world map theme, the other is the final level theme (the one before the final bosses).
-Cloudy Park (Kirby's Dreamland 3)

It's the place where Kirby and Ado fight for the first time. There are 6 levels before the boss fight, each one featuring an environment made of clouds and, in some levels rocks. There's a level with rain, another with strong wind blowing Kirby left and right. A stage in this place would feature wind, weather events (like the Pikmin stage in Brawl) temporary clouds which obstruct the visual and vanishing platforms.

There is also a sort of castle in the clouds: the aesthetics of the stage would be based on it.

The problem of this stage is that it would be a bit generic and may look like a cuter version of a Kid Icarus stage.
-Rock Star Black Pyramid/Spaceship (Kirby 64)
This place is very unique. It looks like a black pyramid, then, when you get closer to it, it starts floating and it reveals that it's instead a spaceship. Inside may look dark at first, but when you reach the core you find a very colorful room full of flashing screens, that sometimes let you see the sky outside from the spaceship.

At the top of this strange structure, there is an elevator and three strange polygonal creatures, called Pix. They're the bosses of this star (Rock Star).

I can see this as a moving stage, with the Pix as stage hazard; this would be perfect on the 3DS, especially due to the simple shapes of the environment (less hardware resources needed), and because of the 3D effect: it would be stunning to look at.
-Pop Star Forest (Kirby 64)

This is the level where, at the end, you find Adeleine. It has a good art style and nice music, I can see this on the WiiU version of the game. The stage would be simple, with few gimmicks like the moving platform of the picture above.
-???
Congratulations! You read all my huge post about Adeleine!

What? you just opened this spoiler because you was curious for the ??? in the title? no problem, thank you anyway.

I hope you enjoyed this and I hope many of you start supporting this character. She is probably my favorite character from the Kirby series, and I'm really sad that HAL decided to forget about her existence. Now that the author of Brawl in the Family (popular web comic where Adeleine was one of the main characters) decided to end the comic in some months, I fear that this character will become less and less popular with the time.

I hope that all the time and effort that I put into this post will be useful to help Adeleine not being forgotten. I still have a little hope for her in the final roster, I know that, even if small, there is still a chance.

And if she's going to be an assist trophy, drawing things in the background like she did in Kirby 64... yeah, still better than nothing, at least she would be represented... in Brawl she was completely absent, not even a sticker of her, despite her being one of the main character of one of the main Kirby games.

Thank you all!

Laniv's moveset
Adeleine stands as tall as Mario, and is heavier than Marth, but lighter than Peach.
Adeleine uses paint as a new element. Paint has many uses for Adeleine, such as getting in opponents' eyes and all sorts of irritating properties

Jab: Adeleine swings her brush twice, dealing 2% each time, then flails it around in front of her, for 1% per swing.
Forward Tilt: Adeleine stabs her brush in front of her for 6%.
Up Tilt: She stabs upwards, popping the opponent upwards for a potential combo. 7%.
Down Tilt: Adeleine paints the ground in front of her in an easily spammable move. 6%.
Dash Attack: Adeleine swipes while running. 7%.

Forward Smash: Adeleine swings her paintbrush, dealing 15% initially. A glob of paint will also fly from her paintbrush, dealing an extra 12%.
Up Smash: An easel spawns next to Adeleine, and the move charges as she paints. When unleashed, a Bronto Burt leaps from the easel and flies upwards, dealing a paltry 9% on impact. However, when the Bronto Burt reaches a certain height, it explodes into paint, dealing 19% for anyone caught in the explosion. Like the saying goes, "earth to earth, ashes to ashes, paint to paint."...Right?
Down Smash: Adeleine holds her paintbrush and paints the ground in a sweeping motion. 17%. Notably, a glob of paint is left behind after use of this move, restricting movement for opponents.

Neutral Aerial: Adeleine spins her paintbrush around her, dealing a total of 20%.
Forward Aerial: Adeleine slashes her paintbrush in front of her. 13%, but there is a sweetspot at the tip of the brush, dealing 18%.
Back Aerial: Adeleine holds her paintbrush behind her and twirls it. 16%. Like R.O.B.'s back air, this move propels her forward a little.
Up Aerial: Adeleine holds her paintbrush above her, and shakes it, letting paint blobs fall off. Does 14% if the tip hits, and 4% three times if the paint blobs hit.
Down Aerial: Adeleine stabs downwards for 15%. This move sends opponents upwards.

Grab and Pummel: Adeleine holds the opponent with one hand and paints on their face with the other. 3% per pummel.
Forward Throw: Adeleine paints on the opponent three times for 5% each, taking one step forward with each swing. On the final swing, the opponent is launched forward.
Back Throw: Adeleine shoves the opponent behind her, then paints a Co-Kracko and sends it at the opponent, shocking them for 23%. Her most damaging throw, and most potent kill move.
Up Throw: Adeleine paints a Dyna Chick, which carries the opponent one Kirby-height above her. This throw doesn't deal any damage at first, but the chick can carry the opponent for as long as it wants, or if the opponent button mashes out in time. Adeleine can also attack opponents while Dyna Chick is holding them, though this will force Dyna Chick to let go. Dyna Chick also follows Adeleine around, so if she's KO'd, Dyna Chick will follow, taking the opponent with them.
Down Throw: Adeleine whips out a paint roller (not this guy), slams opponents onto the ground, and rolls it onto them. 13%.

Neutral Special-- Paint Glob: Adeleine's basic projectile, she flings it forward with a stroke of the brush. This works like the Star Rod; when used up-close, the swing can link into the actual paint. If the paint glob hits someone, it deals 14% and slows them down. If the glob doesn't hit anyone, it will stick to the ground and remain there, similar to her down smash.
Side Special-- Easel: Adeleine paints on an easel, with a similar animation to her up smash. Depending on how long the button is held, it will be either N-Z, Ice Dragon, or Dark Matter that shoots out from the easel. N-Z will walk around and behave like a Waddle Dee. Ice Dragon is the size of Wii Fit Trainer and breathes ice on the opponent. Dark Matter flies around erratically and fire dark blobs.
Up Special-- Rainbow Skate: Adeleine dons Paint Roller's skates and slides along a rainbow that spawns in front of her. The rainbow pops people upward for 20%.
Down Special-- Paint Dump: Adeleine empties a can of paint at her feet. A bright puddle is left where she uses the move. The color depends on how long the button is held: Red for 1 second, Blue for 2 seconds, Green for 3 seconds, and Yellow for 4 seconds. After this, Adeleine automatically spills the paint. When an opponent steps in it, the effect changes depending on the paint color. Red makes them take steady damage. Blue paint causes the opponent to fall asleep. Green paint stuns the opponent on contact. Yellow reverses the opponent's controls.

Final Smash-- Paint Out: Adeleine, whips out her paintbrush, and sets about painting the stage red, and all the other colors. She walks up to the screen and leaves five multicolored strokes on the screen. You can set the directions Adeleine paints in with the control stick. Anyone stuck in the way of the paint gets sent flying for massive damage. In 1v1's, it's useful to keep painting on the one opponent.

Taunts:
Up Taunt: Adeleine paints a Maxim Tomato. Sorry, no healing properties here.
Side Taunt: Adeleine paints a Waddle Dee, which jumps off the easel and melts away.
Down Taunt: Adeleine takes out a Crystal Shard and looks curiously at it.

Victory Poses:
1. Appears to be painting something, facing away the camera. She then turns around and proudly shows off her new masterpiece, a blue ribbon showing off her victory.
2. Paints a rainbow above her with a flourish and smiles.
3. Sits down and eats a sandwich.

Her losing poses has her clapping politely.

Overview
Adeleine is a trap character, littering the battlefield with her spilled paint. She's not the fastest runner, but her air speed allows her to traverse the stage with ease.
Iko MattOrr's post on the "Rate their Chances" thread
This is a long post, but please read it, don't skip it, especially if you aren't very familiar with the character of Adeleine.

Adeleine

Chances: 3%

Well, her chances are a bit low unfortunatelly, but this shouldn't stop the support for the character, instead it should be seen as a reason for supporting Adeleine a lot more!
In few months, the Adeleine thread grew a lot, and became the second most active Kirby related support thread (well Bandana Dee is too big), and it's still growing, even if slowly.
Despite this, her chances are low because:

-The character, despite having major roles in the Dark Matter trilogy, was never used again after those games, and only after more than a decade, she had a cameo as 2 keychains in Kirby Triple Deluxe without even her name mentioned.

-Apparently, Sakurai hates her and the trilogy of Kirby games directed by Shinichi Shimomura, probably for personal reasons... this is fan speculation, but the hints are here so it's pretty much credible.

but chances could rise in the future, because the support is growing and the character is slowly becoming more and more popular; also, recently she got a couple of interesting references in recent Kirby games, even if those aren't directly linked to her:

-In Kirby Fighters, when you select the ability, Adeleine's theme is played in the background; in Kirby Fighters Deluxe it even got a remix!

-Well, the keychains, first appearance of the character in a Kirby game after many years;

-Amiibo Tap game; Ado's boss fight got a scene in that game, making that fight one of "Nintendo's Greatest Bits" (the title of the game).

-In the very recent game Kirby's Rainbow Curse, there's a (main) character called Elline that's based on the concept of Ribbon and Adeleine fused, and in the game she does many references to Adeleine and Kirby 64 (the easel, the apple scene, and even Claycia raging in the background when you dodge her attacks is inspired by Ado/Adeleine).

-Also, Kirby 64 got released on European VC, and Kirby's Dreamland 3 is accessible by a lot of time now, making a lot of new player aware of the character of Ado/Adeleine.

Want: 100%

Why wanting Adeleine?

-She is a classic, half of Kirby's classics are unrepresented in Smash.

The Dream Collection is a special collection of Kirby games released for the 20th anniversary of Kirby. It has 6 classic games in it. 3 of those games are Kirby's Dreamland 2, Kirby's Dreamland 3 and Kirby 64, also known as the Dark Matter trilogy or the Shimomura trilogy.
Those games are part of the classics, they are a very big part of Kirby's history, and they influenced a lot the current image of Kirby, especially Kirby's Dreamland 3 (the use of different art styles, crayon, yarn, clay...) and Kirby 64 (first polygonal Kirby game, even newer games take inspiration from it for many aspects and details).
It happens that there are almost NO references to those games in the Smash series, aside from Gooey and Rick's trophies in Melee.
There are 3 iconic characters that could represent very well the trilogy, and those characters are Ado/Adeleine, Dark Matter and the animals, Rick, Coo and Kine.
Since the animals are probably the most important and recurring characters (even recently), but they are also not very suited for being transformed into fighters, the only remaining options are Adeleine and Dark Matter, and I think they are both very valid choices, but Adeleine is special, and let's see why.

-She is not just a character

You may think that Adeleine is not much important and that she has been in just one game.
This is not true; Let's begin with the Ado/Adeleine thing.
Ado and Adeleine are 2 characters, one from Kirby's Dreamland 3 and the other from Kirby 64.
Both of them have important roles in the game they appear in.
It's not clear if they are the same character with a different name (kinda like Toadstool/Peach or Robotnik/Eggman) or if they are two separate characters (HAL never confirmed it), but they for sure share the same character concept, so it's safe to consider them as the same entity, design-wise. The same could be said for OoT Link and TP Link, they are 2 different and separate characters in the canon, but concept wise they are still Link. Or even Ness and Ninten... I think the point is clear now.
This makes Adeleine a recurring character, being important in 2 of the classic Kirby games, Kirby's Dreamland 3 and Kirby 64.
Also, Adeleine has the ability to draw things and bring them to life.
This way she is perfectly able to reference other characters by drawings; for example, let's make Dark Matter as her final smash, or create a Chef Kawasaki drawing as B + down (just an example).
With this, you should be able to see that she can be much more than just Adeleine... but there is even more!
The Kirby series has got many magical artists, in the past and even recently.
The painters are always different, but they are so many that we could say that the concept of the magical painter who brings creatures and things to life, is a major element of the Kirby series; if we consider them as a single entity, they have got many more important roles and much more history than the beloved Bandana Dee, the most important being Paint Roller, Adeleine and Drawcia (this also applies to the concept of the creepy final boss - another part of the Kirby franchise that's currently not represented aside from that Nightmare assist trophy - and Adeleine could represent that too, through her final smash - boss drawing).
There are also 2 games that are entirely based on the concept of magical painting, and those games are Kirby Canvas Curse and Kirby Rainbow Curse.

-She is where everything started

There are many magical artists in Kirby, but why Adeleine is more important?
Because she is the only one who got a major role in more than one game (Ado and Adeleine), and because she is where the trend started.
In the downloadable game Amiibo Tap, Ado has a scene of Kirby's Dreamland 3, while Paint Roller does not have one, despite Kirby's Adventure being one of the games in the collection; this is the confirmation that Ado/Adeleine is more important than Paint Roller.
Paint Roller has been the first one, ok, but Paint Roller wasn't really a character, he was just a mere boss. With Ado they made the first step into giving a personality and a better role to the artist, and Adeleine became a member of the party of heroes who saved the universe from Dark Matter.
If it wasn't for Adeleine, Paint Roller would have been just a forgotten concept like... Heavy mole maybe... and no Drawcia, no Elline, etc.

(Scene from Kirby's Dreamland 3)

-She is unique and creative

It's not just the concept of bringing drawing to life, that alone would have already made the character original enough to deserve a spot in the roster; it's also that she can include gameplay mechanics from Canvas Curse and Rainbow Curse in her moveset as well, making her even more creative and unique!
If nobody complained about Zelda using Nayru's Love, Farore's Wind and Din's Fire in her moveset, that are originally Link's moves, and other character who have similar non-canon things, well Adeleine can use any trick from the use of a magical paintbrush in the world of Kirby, even if those tricks are originally done by another character (the rainbow rope for example, it's not Elline's exclusive, since in Canvas Curse the same technique can be performed by the player using the power paintbrush, without controlling any particular character, just "you").

-She fits Smash

https://miiverse.nintendo.net/posts/AYQHAAABAAAtVHhnBHQ_uA
(picture made by me, based on the minigame "Bumper Crop Bump" from Kirby 64)

Her look fits the mood of Smash; she is a fighter and she has some moves in the minigames of Kirby 64 and during the 2 boss fights that can be used as inspiration for a moveset; also, she was planned to be playable in Kirby 64 but for unknown reasons, at the end they scrapped the feature; there are screenshots showing her attacking enemies with the paintbrush (she is still playable in minigames in both multiplayer and single player mode in the final game).
If Rosalina got a moveset, with Adeleine it's even easier.
If you want to know more, look at the first post of the Adeleine support thread.

Link:
http://smashboards.com/threads/the-...he-stars-adeleine-for-smash-wii-u-3ds.333869/

For those saying that she has no chances because Bandana Dee will be the next Kirby character:
Fire Emblem is a smaller franchise than Kirby, and it has 5 characters, one of them is double (male/female). Since the Kirby franchise has been overlooked soo much, it's possible that Kirby will get more than just 1 character; and anyway Adeleine has a fanbase as well, if the Smash development team sees more potential in her it's still possible that she will be chosen over any other Kirby character... we can just make assumptions but nothing is decided yet.

A moves are pretty fast, but not strong.

A-Adeleine swings her paintbrush
AA-she swings her paintbrush back the other way
AAA-she swings her paintbrush upwards.

Dash Attack-Similar to Luigi's, but slightly faster and weaker. It also goes a shorter distance

F Tilt-Adeleine swings her pallet in front of her
U Tilt-she jabs her paintbrush upwards
D Tilt-she swipes at the ground with her brush

F Smash-Adeleine stabs in front of her with the handle of her paintbrush
U Smash-she paints a rainbow over her head, which disappears quickly
D Smash-she spins around, making a spiral of paint around herself

Nair-Adeleine kicks in front of her
Fair-Adeleine swings her paintbrush in front of her, like a karate chop but...with a paintbrush
Bair-she elbows behind herself
Dair-Adeleine kicks downwards rapidly
Uair-she twirls her paintbrush above herself

Grabs:
Adeleine grabs with her hands (duh)
Pummel-Adeleine jabs the opponent with her paintbrush's handle
Forward-Adeleine throws the person forwards...
Backward-she spins around and throws the opponent backwards
Down-she slams the person on the ground and stomps on them
Up-she tosses the person above her and stabs them with her brush's handle

Special Moves (the part people actually care about):
Special moves are slower than normal attacks, but are also pretty strong.

B-Enemy Paint-Adeleine paints either an N-Z, Bronto Burt, or a black thing with eyes (Gordo maybe?) in the air. The enemy then walks/flies around the stage, similar to Dedede's Waddle Dees. N-Z is the most common, medium speed, medium damage. Bronto Burt is the second most common, fast, least damage. Black thing is the least common, slowest, most damage,

Side B-Paint Beam-Adeleine swings her paintbrush, sending a beam of paint out in front of her. The color of the beam can vary but it does nothing different, unless she paints a rainbow, which is rare, but does more damage and knockback

Up B-Paint a Rainbow-Adeleine runs through the air, holding her brush above her as she goes, leaving a rainbow trail behind her. (similar to Fox's, but with no fire damage) The rainbow trail stays on the screen for a few seconds, and acts as a solid platform, which people can stand on, and it can also prevent people below from recovering. The direction of this move can be chosen before or during the attack by tilting the control stick. The edges of the trail can not be grabbed on to.

Down B-Ice Dragon/Sweet Stuff-Adeleine Paints either Ice Dragon or Sweet Stuff. They stay on the stage for a short time and either shoot ice cubes or electric sparks. She can only have one on the stage at a time, and they will disappear either after a short time has passed, if they are attacked a lot, or if Adeleine decides to use the move again. Both have an equal chance of appearing

Final Smash-Kracko-A large easel appear and Adeleine quickly paints Kracko. Kracko comes to life and gets much larger, then Adeleine jumps on top of him. You can then move Kraco around and use him to attack. Pressing A makes him strike the ground below his center with lightning. Pressing B makes him stop moving and rain on the ground below him for about 2 seconds. The whole final smash lasts for about 15 seconds.

Entrance-an easel appears and a picture of her is drawn, she jumps out of it and the easel disappears.

Side Taunt-she sends a small amount of paint into the air, forming a random image before it disappears. Images are (Ribbon, The Ripple Star, Zero Two, a crystal shard and an N-Z)
Up Taunt-Adeleine paints a rainbow above her head, then smiles as it disappears
Down Taunt-she paints an apple that falls to the ground and disappears.

Victory Poses:
1-Holds a 1 above her head while a spotlight shines on her, like when she won a minigame in Kirby 64.
2-Tosses her paintbrush up and then catches it, then smiles at the screen
3-Paints on an easel and then turns it towards the screen to reveal that it's a gold trophy.

Adeleine assist trophy suggestion on ChallengerApproaching
http://challengerapproaching.tumblr.com/post/54193677653/what-do-you-consider-art
What Do You Consider “Art”?

Adeleine, the adorable little artist from Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards, is becoming a bit of an obscure character as time goes on. The N64 title was a big hit and people easily became attached to the character, but unfortunately Nintendo seems to have left Adeleine behind a bit. Certainly not the most well known or important of characters out there, we do have to say that a place on the roster will probably not be open for the little painter this time around.

But an assist trophy….? Maybe you’re onto something there, Anon.

It’s generally agreed upon that Adeleine is a girl, but there are some that will disagree just because she looks rather androgynous. For the purpose of this entry, we’re going to go with the consensus and call her female JUST so we don’t have to avoid using pronouns any longer. :p

So what exactly does Adeleine do? Why, she paints! And we’re all very proud of her excellent artistic talent.

D’aww, lookit ‘er go.

Adeleine possesses the strange and intriguing ability to make her paintings come to life right before your eyes! Literally. And that was bad news for Kirby when the two of them first met. When Kirby encountered Adeleine, she was possessed by an evil being referred to as Dark Matter. She used her powers against him and created a couple of tough foes for you to fight while she cackled in the background.

By the time the fight was over, Adeleine was back to normal and she felt that she had to make it up to her new friends. So she tagged along, lending Kirby her powers (Typically by creating items for him to use) Along his journey.

(Image here.)

We have to admit one thing: It would be VERY easy to come up with a moveset for Adeleine. Her ability to form whatever she wishes out of thin air is one NEAT power, and a very versatile one at that. But as it is….she’s really not important enough for the roster. Just like many others on this blog though, if she were to make a couple more important appearances in the Kirby series then we could possibly see her making her way onto the roster in a later installment of the Smash series.

As an Assist, Adeleine would be COMPLETELY random. She could help you by giving you items right next to you, or appear in her possessed form and send a barrage of enemies raining down on your foes. And maybe YOU too. Who knows what would go through her crazy mind in that state.

As or the likelihood of her appearance….We’re on the fence. On the one hand, there’s been TWO installments in the Smash series since she was last relevant, but on the OTHER hand, she’s pretty well liked and this concept is pretty dang neat, not to mention the fact that her inclusion in the Smash series would remind people how neat of a character she is and prompt them to request her in more Kirby games.

She may not be our NUMBER 1 most likely assist trophy….but it’d sure be cool as hell, eh?

An excellent suggestion if ever we heard one….Do come by again, anon!

You did fantastic! I'd do anything to see Adeleine in another game whether it's Smash or a new Kirby game. BTW, the desperate attack was also done by Ado in Kirby's Dreamland 3.

Adeleine would be a welcome addition. But there are two problems i see:
1. Bandana dee seems more probable as the next Kirby rep.
2. Bowser Jr. has a paint brush too.

I like Adeline, and it seems I posted here before, but why did I call her retro. O-o
I prefer her over Bandanna Dee design-wise and probably playwise, and I would like her to be the character that implements painting in a moveset, even though she's not that important to the Kirby series. I hope Nintendo gives Adeleine a future.
Also, you should edit the thread title for a quality improvement on the OP.

probably because she hasn't appeared since the 64 and that's technically retro now
well anyway, I think she is best suited for a trophy, or maybe an assist trophy, I can see some use of her that way, but I would not want her anywhere near playable status, waddle "bandana" dee or bust:awesome:

It sucks that she hasnt been in the previous Kirby games considering how unique she is, I would like to see her in. the question is if she is in how would Sakurai make her play like considering she requires an easel to paint things to life. I can imagine her as an assist trophy, especially since Skull Kid is one now from an old Zelda game i can see Adeline represent the old kirby game that way

I support!

Since Rosalina & Luma are the 4th Mario rep, it seems Bowser Jr. is basically deconfirmed.
Which leaves only two paintbrush characters,
Adeline here, and Vince from Art Academy.

I have no idea who Sakurai would choose, and both only use their Paintbrushes.
And I still don't know even after I analyzed Sakurai's outlook on choosing newcomers for the game.

He could choose Adeline because she is his creation, and she can bring things to life.
But he could also choose Vince because Art Academy is newer and is very popular on Miiverse, and with Villager, Wii Fit Trainer, and even too an extent Rosalina & Luma, Sakurai has shown that he likes including characters that aren't directly fighters, and Vince fights this role.

While everyone is waiting for the inclusion of Bandana Dee in the roster, I'm one of the few people who, despite being a Kirby fan, doesn't like him too much. (please don't hate me for this, I know he's a fan favorite).
There is another Kirby rep. that I'd like to play as, and that's Adeleine from Kirby 64.
The chances are all for Waddle Dee, but I still hope...

Anyway, I said this because I'd like to show you a moveset concept that I recently did for her on Miiverse.
https://miiverse.nintendo.net/posts/AYQHAAABAACNUKEmN_iMIg

I also did a drawing of how she would look near the other 3 Kirby rep.

(and since it came out better than I thought, I decided to use it as profile picture also)

I'd like to make a post about my moveset concept with better documentation and explanation/examples; I'll edit this post or make a new one (if this one will get replied) later; until them you can read it in the link above; sorry for the bad quality of the drawings and for the writing errors, Miiverse won't let you edit the posts.

Anyway, if the OP is still around, I'd like to be in the list of the supporters!

I support! I made this moveset:

Those games are traditional platformers, not spinoffs (gameplay-wise), but they are all developed differently from most Kirby platformers: the visual style is more simplicistic and more artistic/abstract, Kirby doesn't have hats, and the gameplay is based on the combination of elemental abilities with Kirby's animal friends, or in the case of Kirby 64, on the combination of 2 abilities each other (those games also have in common the fact that the main enemy in the story is a creature of the Dark Matter race - dark cloudy creatures who can control anyone's mind).
Adeleine is also one of the most relevant (not clone, not godlike boss) character in the franchise, along with Daroach, Chef Kawasaki, Dynablade, recently Bandana Waddle Dee, and few others.
After Adeleine, the trend of putting magical painter characters in Kirby continued, in fact 2 new magical painters are now added to the series, Drawcia and Paintra (they're both evil, and they have also a backstory involving a mysterious ancient artist).

One of the goals of this new Smash, is to introduce new female characters into the roster, and it looks like this is also a goal for Nintendo in general, since they're trying to put more female characters in other franchises as well, to appeal more to the female audience (Super Mario 3D World: Peach and Rosalina; They're discussing to give the option to play as female Link in future Zelda games). As much as I think that we have enough female characters in Smash right now, I think that the presence of Adeleine would still be useful, because she would become popular again and she would most likely appear again in future Kirby games as well. Kirby is still missing of a female character in the main cast, and Adeleine would be perfect for that role (this would mean replacing Bandana Dee though, and using him only as support NPC like he was in Triple Deluxe - he would still be connected to Dedede's character, so he would still be around; Maybe Dedede would be able to summon him like Meta Knight did with the helper knights in Meta Knightmare Ultra). I can see the new Kirby platformer having 4 playable characters, one of which is Adeleine who uses the WiiU pad to draw things on the touch screen to help the other player. Or why not, 5 playable characters, with Bandana Dee as well? WiiU supports 4 WiiMote + GamePad. Just some speculation.

Anyway, I like to think that they're one single character, it wouldn't make sense having 2 characters around who are the exact same thing, and even if they are separate, they can be considered 2 instances of the same character.
The 20th Anniversary Hoshi no Kirby Pupupu Taizen leaves this issue open-ended, although it suggests it is likely that Ado is merely Adeleine's nickname.

-Last, the fact that Sakurai doesn't want human characters in the Kirby series.
This is a really bad problem, and to me it makes very little sense at all. He doesn't want human characters in Kirby, and I agree with him, but Adeleine is not even human. She is just a bit more detailed than a Poppy Bros., she is a little higher than 8 inches (Kirby is 8 inches height, it's impossible for a human being so small unless she is 2/3 year old), and lastly, there already are other characters in the series who resemble or are humans.

Why not Bandana Waddle Dee then?
That's a good question. Bandana Dee is a lot more popular nowadays, and he appeared many times more than Adeleine.
I still think that Adeleine would be a better choice, for many reasons, but especially one: Bandana Waddle Dee is Dedede's sidekick (just like Toads are Peach's "sidekicks" - support characters for a more important character) and many of his appearances in games were just for multiplayer purposes or mere support with no real roles at all (He only got a real role in an unlockable mode of Kirby Superstar Ultra, and it was small - just desperately trying to stop Kirby when he defeated all Dedede's warriors), while Adeleine is her own character. Adeleine can be also considered as the opposite of Metaknight: one is cool and strong in fighting skills, the other is cute and strong in magical skills, but weak in normal fighting; this way the 4 rep. could represent all the different styles and aspects of the Kirby universe.
Adeleine is also a great occasion for making cameos of other enemies and bosses, due to her summoner skills (she can draw enemies or items and they become true - in the games, she draws bosses when she's possessed by Dark Matter, and food when she wants to help Kirby).
Waddle Dee's fighting skills are based on the spear, and no other characters used a spear in Smash before; anyway I think his moves would still be a bit generic; the only moves that I see as original are the spear trowing and the propeller move that could be used for B+up. I see Adeleine as a more creative character, with a crazy moveset like Ness or the newcomer Robin, and I think it's a lot more interesting.
Anyway, if there was the possibility, I'd put both Adeleine AND Bandana Waddle Dee in the game, so Waddle Dee fans are happy, but unfortunatelly it's very unlikely to happen, there is the risk that we're not even getting a 4th Kirby rep.

Who played Sonic Advance 2 knows that R+forward after a spring does a very similar move; here is where I took inspiration for this.

Ice Dragon, Kirby's Dreamland 3 and Kirby 64

Dark Matter, Kirby 64
Some Miiverse sketches of this move

I switched Kracko and Dark Matter's moves, now A and B are inverted.
-Taunts
Up taunt
Adeleine faces at the screen and moves the paintbrush from right to left with an happy face. This taunt is inspired by a cutscene from Kirby 64, the one where she is not possessed by Dark Matter anymore and decides to follow Kirby in his adventure.

If the paint charge is high enough, Adeleine will also draw a rainbow while moving the paintbrush.

Colors

The first one is the default color scheme.
2°, 3° and 4° are the alternative colors for other players in the minigames of Kirby 64.
5° is inverted (red dress and green hat) with some other colors changed.
6° is based on Ado from Kirby's Dreamland 3 (she has also a different hairstyle).
7° is a dark version of Adeleine.

Some Miivere drawings

If we were to get a fourth Kirby rep I'd only be happy with Adeleine.

I don't care for any of the others.

Adeleine is my favorite Kirby character of all time, I'm definitely in support of this, if we were to see one more female character, then Adeleine is my pick.

I don't know about Metaknight returning, could he really get the boot for how OP he was?

I also don't see why Sakurai would not add a 4th Kirby character and of all things it should be a female character, and Adeleine is the perfect choice.

Btw, Adeleine would be a guaranteed main of mine, she'd rank high on my usage list too.

Oooohhh finally, I finished to write my huge wall of text about Adeleine and her moveset. I hope there is someone interested in reading it!
I like this! It seems like an excellent idea. Can I be a supporter?
Everyone is welcome as supporter, but the OP is the only one who can update the list. I'm going to contact the OP via PM, if he/she is not interested in managing this thread anymore, I'll ask some mods if I can become the new op and I'll add you (and me, and everyone else).

As incredibly unlikely as she is, I can't help but support! Kirby 64 was a personal favorite, and I always liked Adeleine.

Thank you all, I'm the new OP now! I'll adjust the first post soon, and I'll include other movesets made by supporters and other content as well.
Meanwhile, if there is someone who can make a supporter stamp or somethig... I'm not very good with those thing, unless there's a site that let you make the stamps automatically but I don'd know it.
I'd like to put it in my signature as well!

She was going to be playable in Crystal Shards? Well...that sucks. :l

Add me on the supporters list. She's the Kirby rep I wanted the most after Dedede.

You can find all sorts of signature icons here. Adeleine appears to have one.

Wow there'r a stamp for her also!
I'm going to add you all.
I did this anyway:

EDIT: And I forgot the shadow behind the character lol!
I'll modify it to add the shadow; my Internet connection is going very slow now so I may be slow at fixing things and reply.

Anyway, I like to think that they're one single character, it wouldn't make sense having 2 characters around who are the exact same thing, and even if they are separate, they can be considered 2 instances of the same character.

http://kirby.wikia.com/wiki/Adeleine

-Last, the fact that Sakurai doesn't want human characters in the Kirby series.
This is a really bad problem, and to me it makes very little sense at all. He doesn't want human characters in Kirby, and I agree with him, but Adeleine is not even human. She is just a bit more detailed than a Poppy Bros., she is a little higher than 8 inches (Kirby is 8 inches height, it's impossible for a human being so small unless she is 2/3 year old), and lastly, there already are other characters in the series who resemble or are humans.

Who played Sonic Advance 2 knows that R+forward after a spring does a very similar move; here is where I took inspiration for this.
