Score! Managed to get super ultra last place for melee singles! Played a total of three or four matches this event, including friendlies lol. Congrats to the winners of the events, the winners of the gamecube controllers, the winner of the salt shaker (G$ iirc), and everybody else who had fun.

My name's Ryan Eick; I was the person wearing a black evangelion shirt with a rainbow on it. I was usually either at signup, on the mic, at the bracket computer, running around finding people to tell them where to go, etc. I was at SBU 1.0, but I wasn't there for SBU 1.5 so this was my first time meeting most of you. Took me a few hours to attach the names to the faces, but I (hopefully) remember most of you now.

I'll start out on a negative note and apologize for some up the mistakes we made. For the first bracket that we ran, Melee Doubles, we were in a rush and managed to forget to tell Tio to actually seed by the skill we entered. From the results it looks like our winners used their own skill to correct our blunder, but still we're sorry for letting that happen. To Animal and D1, I heard your console got accidentally unplugged near the end of PM Singles when we were changing venues and we are ultimately responsible for that. If you guys want your own salt shaker we can probably arrange that. (Or some free raffle tickets. :3) There were other small mishaps every now and then but I'd like to think we pulled through and made this event a lot of fun for all of you.

Things were pretty chaotic for the TOs and we learned a lot about some of the things we should do to make the next Smash Brothers University better and smoother. Next time we'll remember to invest in some walkie talkies and have people dedicated to sections of setups instead of having them running back and forth. We'll also try to get the brackets fully displayed before they're finalized so people can more easily spot/mention mistakes and update the display so everyone can more easily see how everything is panning out. Please be sure to give us feedback on what you think we could have done better and on what you want us to improve.

Probably the trickiest thing we have to figure out is how to more effectively deal with running multiple brackets concurrently. Halfway through we got a lot better at not calling you for one match when you were already playing a different one. I call team name johns for the instances where we did that. :p

There's probably a lot more I want to say but for now I'll wrap it up here. Thanks a lot to everyone for coming. If you had fun be sure to spread the hype so we can make SBU 2.5 even greater.
