THIS THREAD IS FOR THE DISCUSSION OF HANDSOME JETT 5, THE MOST AWESOME SSBM TOURNAMENT AND GAMEFEST GOIN' DOWN IN WISCONSIN!!

This thread was begging to be made.

Umm...

Right now we're lookin' at August 10-12 (maybe we could fit in that Thursday?) at Reeve Memorial Union at UW Oshkosh.

If we get help from a school organization, we can use the building for cheeeeap and get $1,000 for prize money and stuff from a school sponsor.

Nnnn....

I wanted to make shirts and posters or bumperstickers or something cool this time.

I'm looking for new, fresh ideas and stuff so Steve and I can make this tournament tons better. The room in the Union we want to use for gaming is a huge freakin' ball room. We want the open gaming room to be better, too, now that next-gen consoles are out. As far as food though, we're not going to be as extravagant 4, sorry =P we'll work something out.

Otherwise, that's all I have for right now. I just wanted to make the thread to say Jett is still alive and breathing somewhere.

YES! HJ4 was my fav. tourney ever and that includes FC6.

Depending on if there will be a lot of new faces/good people i've never played, I'll try my best to be there. That $1000 pot would be extremely enticing.

you can count me in and by the way vigyo i could make a HJ5 smash poster from photoshop if you want idk. Or perhaps a t design? Im in independent art so I can do just about any artzy fartzy stuff that you may want done. If your interested Pm please.

.... All I ever heard about HJ4 was good things... HJ5 has one more number than HJ4... that must mean EXTRA good things...

I'm pretty sure this will be my first OOS tournament, because I'm pretty much going to make it...

Holy man, not even 24 hours later and there's quite a number of posts. Glad to hear lots of people are interested and want to go

The Thursday would probably be just for gaming and wouldn't cost anything extra, another idea that was tossed out there.

Tongji, for posters, I had something in mind. I wanted to draw up some characters in a cell-shaded style with a black background and each character has a little pinstripe with their face on it. Or something. If you have any ideas, if you could PM me the images or ideas, that would be cool too. I'll draft something up in Photoshop within the next few days or weeks (I'm busyyy, boo.)

I'm going to have to make some fliers too, huh?

Only AFTER we confirm the date and location... don't want to print those out and find out everything is changed, heheh. After I get some fliers/pin ups made, if anybody could help spread the word by printing and posting them or just telling people about HJ5, that would rawk.

Oh, I can edit my first post about this (just cos I can), but we wanted to rent 10-30 TVs for the event. They'd all be the same or very close to the same so there's no johns about 'my TV lags' -- that and no LCD/super expensive TVs. Just decent, large sized ones that have no lag or eww stuff.

OOS'ers are always nice. Bring your OOS'er friends =P
