The Kickstarter failed to reach the $550,000 goal so they started an Indiegogo campaign with a goal of $250,000. Rewards have also been adjusted and anyone donating $35 or more will get a download of the final pitch presentation.
It’s been 15 years since Don Bluth last directed an animated movie and I and super excited about this. Most people have seen one of his movies even if they don’t recognize his name:
“The Small One” (1978, short film), “Banjo the Woodpile Cat” (1979, short film), “The Secret of NIMH (1982), “An American Tail” (1986), “The Land Before Time” (1988) “All Dogs Go to Heaven (1989) “Rock-a-Doodle” (1992), “Thumbelina” (1994), “A Troll in Central Park” (1994), “The Pebble and the Penguin” (1995) “Anastasia” (1997) “Bartok the Magnificent” (1999) “Titan A.E.” (2000)
He also directed three video games, these were essentially animated films that required he player to press the appropriate button to continue the animation if the player failed it would play a death animation and the game was over. Basically like the quick time events in modern games. These were: “Dragon's Lair”(1983) “Space Ace” (1984) “Dragon's Lair II: Time Warp” (1991)
If you haven’t seen his films check out these clips:
