these are some really solid matches from Sethlon (#1 player in PM in the Texas region, Roy main). He's the first one that ive seen in this game properly edgeguard with ledgesteal mechanics and does it a couple of times throughout the match with palutena (see 2:15); Steal the ledge>punish with Bair. Also note that arcfire activates on shield, so hyped for oct 3 now :O

First match starts @ exactly 41:00 until 1:36:00 versus Denti's Sheik.

I play Robin again after that @ 2:55:50 up to the end of the Robin ditto with Sethlon around 3:29:40, then back from Shulk to Robin again @ 3:58:20 all the way until 4:36:30 where I stopped playing Robin for the rest of the night.

Most of the matches are against Denti's Sheik, where you should be able to get a good idea on how the match-up generally plays off. I already believe that Sheik wins this MU due to the rush down factor she has, but Denti's Sheik doesn't apply it as much as he should have in my opinion, and that's why I felt that I was able to sneak away with my winning matches.

I'm going to try and play on Denti's stream again possibly tonight, and would like the chance to get to play others like ZeRo/Vex on their stream as well, so I hope to come back here with a lot more matches for you guys

Great matches! I'm pretty sure Robin's air game will be much better once you guys have access to Gamecube controllers where you can easily shortcut your smash attacks to the C-Stick. Nothing worse than trying to perform a midair smash only for the 3DS controls to register it as a tilt.

I think we should make a video thread real soon for all of the game play coming up in the future. I guess right now it's not as important because of not that much Robin content online due to only a select few with the Japanese copy of the game. I wish to learn from my fellow tacticians as well!

But anyways, last night I played Denti again for about two hours, Robin vs Sheik once more. I didn't get to play much Wi-Fi the other day like I said I wanted to because it stopped working for my 3DS just out of nowhere, but it's all good now. I can only play Denti's Sheik for so long too, lol.

I don't know if it's just Denti's Sheik, but this match-up is starting to feel a little bit more closer than I thought. It helps out a lot when I have her up in the air, where I can just whack her around with the Levin Sword or bait out a response with that intimidation factor of how powerful it is when it connects. I still need to adapt correctly to a few things though, namely that freak'n BOUNCING FISH THAT I APPARENTLY CAN NEVER PUNISH EVEN WHEN I READ IT. And because those Needles do knock-back now at higher percents, Denti will just continue to throw them out on my air dodges (which I also need to stop doing) until they carry me off stage or towards the ledge, which is kind of annoying, lol.

But I promise I'm getting better with every match. Originally I had planned to switch to another character against difficult match-ups like this one, even if it's a small disadvantage, but it's still only the first week of Smash 4. There's still much to learn with Robin versus the rest of the cast, and I won't give up that easily. Nothing will be overlooked!
