Did Yoshi just jump out of his shield? (video included)

No, he got out of his shield and immediately jumped. Yoshi's shield drops faster than all the other characters so it just seemed to jump out of shield...i think....

Yeah, he just dropped the shield then jumped. I did it all the time in melee so I never saw what the big deal of not being able to jump out of shield was. Only like a half second difference.
A half-second sounds long to me. o.O;

Oh man, a half second in melee was like an eternity.
