Through out the smash series Zelda's core style or game play has always changed from melee to brawl to project m and balance brawl (maybe)? It is one of the sad things about Zelda because people who has played her must always change their style too which isn't always bad. However unlike sheik, link, peach, falco, bowser who does have their trait the same and is always defining their play style Sheik great up close and personal (but to be fair sheik can play lots of games), Samus out range and plays cat and mouse, marth aerialist (don't know if that'll be true anymore) that always wants to hit on the tip. Zelda in melee your main damage and kill will be from your lightning kicks and other kicking moves expect dair. Because melee zelda has like only one smash attack dsmash it's better to stick with tilts but they are wonky. brawl zelda as everyone knows plays ground game but really has one smash which is still dsmash as the other two can still be sdi out which is also why a lot of people are mad about losing kill potential on utilt. This incarnation seem to adopt the defensive offensive attacks. Naryu's can be used to reflect and has moments of invulnerability and now is faster (and lag less?), while din's fire can stop incoming certain projectile while burning whatever is around it. Farore's wind now that it is buffed and can kill could help zelda make a quick counter attack or re-position. Phantom slash, meat sheild but it seems like the move would be better as edge guard or in the air blocking/stalling incoming damage. with her A move set zelda mix with her special I believe she'll play like a wall and hopefully a moving wall. that's my two cents post your thoughts on how her game style can be like.

Yeah, defensive-offensive is a good way of describing it.

I will probably will play her the same as Brawl, with some more nair, utilt, teleport and trying to incorporate some phantom in there somewhere.
