Help with Dazzle

My dazzle is hooked up and I don't know what exactly is wrong. I have piggyback cables and and a/v cables to to ends that are both male. Whenever I try to go to the capture tab in Pinnacle I get a "A valid Input Signal has not been detected. Please check your cables." I don't really know where to start. Please help.

I looked there but no threads and no one viewing it is rather deterring when I'm trying to get a question answered. I figured recording stuff was close enough to my own customized content.
