Controls How do you fix deadzones?

So I soldered my GameCube controllers, and it seems I cannot consistently do Tilt attacks and immediately run and do Smash Attacks when playing with the soldered controller, but it seems I have no issue with other controllers I have not modified or fixed. Is there a way to fix the controller by firmware or even physically? I might just switch the C Stick (original stick) with the new soldered stick I ordered.
