how to wall a rush down?

I recently picked up Pac-man and want to main him. I've been struggling with rush down characters though. I wanted to ask what the best moves are for dealing with rush down characters up close to get them away.

PS: I know that I lost that match, but this guy is one of the best spanish players, and the match was really close
