Smash Rookie
Join NintenDiego for an exciting off-site Comic Con event at Mission Brewery, where they’ll be hosting a Super Smash Bros for 3DS Tournament. Our good friends at PixelatedGeek! have graciously donated some prizes as well, and you can have some fun while enjoyed some cold, delicious San Diego craft beer.
This could literally be the only time you’ll ever get away with bar fighting, so take your chance now at one of San Diego’s breweries. Tournament rules are below. You will need to bring your own copy of Super Smash Bros for 3DS (and it must be patched and up to date!)
Signups that start at 7PM. The Smash Tournament will start promptly at 8PM.
We remind you to drink responsibly, as well. Mission Brewery is just a short walk from Petco Park on the corner of 14th and L Street. There are many options for getting here quickly and safely from the Convention Center!
DecoBike is a Bike Share program with stations available to check a bike in and out all over San Diego. There is a Station conveniently located right outside the doors of Mission Brewery!
Uber If by chance you haven’t yet used Uber, you can download the app and receive up to a $20 credit towards your first ride with the promo code MISSIONBREWERY.

Rules:
- Players must supply their own 3DS family system and have their own Super Smash Bros for 3DS cartridge to participate. Systems and cartridges must be up to date.
- Matches will be 4 player matches with 3 stock, 5 minutes per match.
The amount of rounds will be determined on time. - Points will be awarded to each player on how they perform in each match. The highest scoring contender wins.
3 points will go to first place, 2 to 2nd, 1 to 3rd, and 0 to the 4th place player. A tie breaking round at the end may be needed. This round may have different rules. - Omega Form and Final Destination stages only.
- No items or customs.
- Double Suicide penalty
- You may choose any character, including DLC characters if you have them – except Mii fighters are banned.
- Stalling is banned.
- Missing a match will result in disqualification.
