Tomblin Bros. Smash Bash @ Letitia Avenue
Double Elimination

The Tomblin brothers are back again with another Super Smash Bros. Melee tournament! We'll be playing not only Melee, but also Project M and League of Legends, among other PC games. Again, there may also be Project M brackets. For more information, check out our Facebook page. Feel free to ask either of the Tomblin bros. about anything else.

The tournament will open up for registration at 4:00PM in the carport. The entry fee is only $2, and friendlies and spectators are free. Melee brackets will begin around 7:00PM.

Address:

2951 Letitia Avenue
Placerville, CA

What else should I know?
  • This is an outdoor event in a carport, so please bring a jacket, water, or whatever else will suit your needs. This event will also permit those who are 21 years old and up to bring alcohol. If you are below 21, do not bring alcohol. (Please respect the Tomblin brothers' liability, thank you.) Alcohol will not be given to anyone under 21 either. With that said, you must bring your own beer/alcohol.
  • All participants are encouraged to bring full Melee set-ups, including CRT televisions, a Melee disc, consoles, and folding tables. It would be wise to even bring along an extension cord.
  • As for League of Legends and other PC games, laptops are welcome, but we won't be able to accommodate full desktop set-ups. Sorry.
  • You also must bring your own controllers.
Prizes:
  • 1st place: 60% of money pot
  • 2nd place: 30% of money pot
  • 3rd place: 10% of money pot
Tourney Rules & Stages:
  • 4 stocks, 8 minutes, no items.
  • Starter stages: Battlefield, Dream Land, Final Destination, Fountain of Dreams, & Yoshi's Story.
  • Counterpick stage: Pokémon Stadium.
  • First stage is decided by banning from the Starter Stages in P1-P2-P2-P1 order.
  • The winning player is not locked into the same character for the next match, but they must pick before the loser selects a character.
  • The following stages are decided by the winner banning one stage from all stages and then the loser chooses.
  • For any matches that are best out of five, there aren't any stage bans.
  • You may not choose a stage that you've already won on unless mutually agreed to.
  • Gentlemen's Clause is allowed; any stage may be played if bother players agree.
