R.O.B's Alts Thread. (All Colors Confirmed)

That virtual boy color. I might main it. But yet again, smash taking hints from pm, love it. Let's hope for an ancient minister dlc costume, eh?
His famicom red and white colors are default in Japan.
His grey and Greyer colors are default in America.

Spoiler: Speculation before the confirmation:

I've heard there are teal and virtual boy based alt colors, not sure how legit this is.
What I'm assuming we'll get:
Famicom Rob (Confirmed)
NES Rob
+6 more

What I want us to get:
Turquoise/Light blue rob (TOTALLY CALLED)
Red/Black(I don't remember if I called this or edited it in after someone else said they saw it on a stream.)
Any kind of lighter color
Any kind of alt that changes the eye color significantly
Ancient Minister costume.

it did not appear that the solid red color was based on virtual boy ROB, from the split second i saw it everything was red

I think that is only for the Miis

A little disappointed, It would have been strange in Brawl since alt costumes were new... But now...

Alt Costumes are the way of the future! And ROB has no potential for another alt costume other than Ancient Minister, I know it's too late to be in the final game but let's hope for DLC.

I would be 100% for official Smash games taking cues from Project M in virtually every way.

As it is... probably just similar thoughts that coincided. Not particularly a deeply original idea imo, especially since ROB already had NES/SNES-flavor

R.O.B's the best. I will continue using the Dark Blue costume. Using darker colors with R.O.B. is also better. If you forget that your Gyro is fully charged, you can refer to your color. R.O.B. will be flashing more brightly because he is darker. This works well with the Dark Blue, Dark Green, and the new Dark Red costume.

The gamecube one I see, but the SNES one doesn't match up. The Rob is pink and purple, and the purple is lighter.

ROBs second skin is the NES/SNES I think... Green ROB is from SSE and I don't remember the bumblebee one, only that it is a reference to something.

I can see how one would miss that. I think the hue is perhaps too dark to seem like the gamecube. Still its close enough. However, If this does not represent the gamecube, then what could it be based on?

His blue color swap was in brawl. They just made it brighter to fit In with the new art style.
By the way totally called this in the old Rob thread.
