UNDER CONSTRUCTION. I KNOW NEXT-TO NOTHING, SO NESS MAINS (and even other mains) YOUR HELP IS APPRECIATED FILLING THIS IN :bee:
I'm really trying to learn more about matchups and stage choices and stuff, and I thought a thread like this could be helpful to a lot of people. This isn't a thread to discuss matchups, but to post quick info, a sort of one-stop-shop kinda deal. A thread you can go to to get instant info. Not long paragraphs or anything, just organized bulleted info. Key elements of the matchup. Lots of info orgainzed in multiple ways. I don't know much, so you guys can all help filling this in :) I don't wanna put something in and then have it be wrong or something :p. If you guys don't like the idea, feel free to lock or whatever...

Stages

Battlefield
Good, average, or bad for Ness?:
Stuff to be aware of on this stage:
- Platforms allow for my PSI mag wavebounce insanity.
- Platforms make FH PK Fire (moving backwards is best way) fire a bolt and land quickly.
- Platforms allow for an easier way of chasing people down with PK Thunder, but not easy PKT2 on the ground.
- PK Flash cancels with platform.
- Solid stage

Final Destination
Good, average, or bad for Ness?:
Stuff to be aware of on this stage:
- Flat (Don't pick against CGers)
- PKT2 unhindered.
- Not as easy to juggle with pkt.
- No platforms= no awesome stuff.
- Wavebounce magnet works slightly better here than elsewhere in moving away from the opponent.
- Keep away from opponents who like flat, undisrupted stages.
- PK Fire works great both FH and grounded.

Smashville
Good, average, or bad for Ness?: Good.
Stuff to be aware of on this stage:
- Easily ness' best neutral. Uncontested.
- Moving platform helps recovery
- Moving platform assists with psi magnet wavebounce shenanigans, FH PK Fire landing (have to time it so you land on it when it starts moving away from opponent), lure/bait/mind**** kills, and more.
- No dumb FD stuff under ledge, making it easy to inverted or just vertical pkt2 back to ledge.
- Snake is mean here with the c4...
- Still a relatively flat stage, so continue to watch out for cg'ers and other people who like flat stages.
- Easier to attack with the platform to assist you by it moving around. (always think of the platform; it helps both to retreat and get to approaching... Also getting behind opponent).

Yoshi's Island (Brawl)
Good, average, or bad for Ness?: Bad
Stuff to be aware of on this stage:
- **** SHY GUYS!!!!!
- **** walls!!!
- The random platform is awesome
- Stage restricts PK Fire on the ground, but it's actually much easier to hit with than one would think.
- Platform screws over FH PK Fire.
- Ledges are nice.
- Not great overall...

Lylat Cruise
Good, average, or bad for Ness?:
Stuff to be aware of on this stage:

Castle Siege

So yeah hopefully you guys like the idea (and get that it's not just a clone of the MU thread though it may seem like it) so um... yeah... :) feel free to let me know if stuff should be added/deleted. Oh and I'm pretty good about updating info, I'll (try to) update multiple times per day. Gotta get more involved here :p

Ah, well nice idea!

That MU info is really outdated though...so I'll get my butt in gear after finals and we'll continue with discussions. We'll do Zelda next.

Yeah... I was about to say what yink said, along with the fact that yink only recently gained possession of the thread (I think)....

Stages:
BF
- platforms allow for my PSI mag wavebounce insanity.
- platforms make FH pkfire (moving backwards is best way) fire a bolt and land quickly.
- platforms allow for an easier way of chasing ppl down with thunder, but not easy pkt2 on the ground.
- pkflash cancels with platform.
- solid stage...
-not much else...

Fd
- flat (no ic's, diddy, marth, falco, etc.)
- pkt2 unhindered.
- not as easy to juggle with pkt.
- no platforms= no awesome stuff.
- wavebounce magnet works slightly better here than elsewhere in moving away from the opponent.
- keep away from opponents who like flat, undisrupted stages.
- pkfya!!! Great both fh and grounded.
- not much else.

Smashville
- I know there's more, but I can't think about it.

YI(B)
- **** SHY GUYS!!!!!
- **** walls!!!
- yay, random platform that pops up to save you!
- platform is awesome
- stage restricts pkfire on ground, but it's actually much easier to hit with than one would think.
- platform screws over fh pkfire.
- ledges are nice.
- not great overall... :(

I'll do more later
