What are useful/not useful techniques with Ryu?

Hello everyone!
Lately I've gotten into Smash 4 coming from Melee. I found the extended dash dance technique, I tried it with Little Mac, and it seemed pretty dang useful. Then when I tried it with Ryu it felt like it was too hard to incorporate and his dash dance seemed pretty bad as well (Ryu).

Is this ^ technique useful with Ryu or should I just use FADC to play neutral game.
And lastly what are some useful things I could learn with Ryu?

No real reason to dash dance with Ryu. Using FADC alot as a movement and evasion tactic is a good idea, that way it will be harder to read when you are actually going to release and try and land the focus attack.
