This should come as no surprise, as the new Mythical Pokémon was never part of any of the Sword and Shield Pokémon DLCs. The Pokémon has been promoted separately at all times.
It was announced on May 13 that the Pokémon: Coco movie would be delayed due to the global health crisis. It was slated to premiere next month, July 10, and a new release date has yet to be announced.

The Pokémon Company did not explicitly refer to Zarude but presumably this means the sinister-plant-type Pokémon won't arrive until the movie does. After all, if you've seen the trailer, it's clear why Zarude arrives alongside the movie. The story centers on him.
Don't worry, we may have to wait a little longer for Zarude, but there is a new Legendary Pokémon coming to Sword and Shield on June 17. This includes Kubfu and her evolution Urshifu, Calyrex, and two new Regi legends in Regieleki and Regidrago.
