Being a moderator isn't all fun and games. You tend to get a lot of hate from everyone. (Including your friends.) I reversed your infraction and instead, gave you a warning for that post since you were so nice about this whole thing. (I don't do this often.)

Just let your current infraction points expire and you should be good. IMO, it's pretty difficult to obtain 12 temp points in a 6 month period.

I don't have to do that, I can just give out infractions and move on. And you have quite the infraction history so you knew what you were getting yourself into.

The problem is that a lot of Smashers have a skewed perspective on the whole issue. There have only been three Smash games ever (that aren't hacks) and Smash64 is largely ignored, so it's really more like two games. Most Smashers don't play a lot of fighting games (or ANY other fighting games), so they don't understand what it's like to have 7+ events at their tournament since at Smash tournaments there are only 4 events. Two games is manageable in Smash but in the 2D/3D Fighting Game community popularity dictates what events will be there, which is why you never see any games like Shaq Fu or My Little Pony: Fighting is Magic as featured events and why you rarely see them as side tournaments.

Sentinel does have a good point though - everyone should just go back to MvC2. It really is the better game and the reasons that the fg community has for not going back to it, that "playing the newest game in the series is the way it's always been", is just stupid to me. It's kind of backwards thinking that makes the community cognitively stagnate. I understand that the newest game is going to attract a lot of attention from new players and that it'll have the most interest and be the largest scene because of it, and I understand that people (read: good players) want to help the scene for whatever the largest game is grow even more (read: Justin Wong wants to take his girlfriend out to a nice place on dates and Marn needs to buy two tickets whenever he goes on a plane trip) and I understand that we all need to hold hands in a circle while Capcom jerks off on us etc. But none of that is a reason to completely ignore a great game like MvC2 like the community has been doing. This is one of the two things that bugs me most about the fighting game community. This and the fact that Capcom game players think anything that's not made by Mother Capcom is **** *** garbage anus ****s.

idk, I'm just waiting for Skullgirls. That game looks basically like what MvC3 SHOULD have been, so I'm hoping that it will really take off and get popular.
