when is pikachu's quick attack to the ledge from center stage worth doing? I feel like if a fox/falco drops below stage and firefoxes you always have time to wd to the ledge and then nair anyway. Does this move really have a purpose?

it's not that you see tons more mistakes from spacies than floaties, it's that you can't recognize mistakes from floaties because you don't know what peach/jiggs are even trying to do. It's a lot easier to tell what tech skill mistakes are costing someone when the missed input gets the spacey...

don't let him dair you though. with good smash DI dair into waveshine isn't really that legit. I mean they can hit it occasionally if they predict your smash DI, but if they are undershooting it that hard, then you should have an easy time just dodging the dair and getting free grab/dash...

smash DI in past them works best. but you have to be careful not to DI in on the upsmash. usually if they see one DI in on the prior waveshine they will upsmash early to end it. fox players insist that they can follow you no matter what you do, but I don't believe them. they have to waveshine...
