Hmm...I see. I have managed to get the ground grab release into a dolphin slash a few times, but based on what I'm hearing, that must not be guaranteed. Perhaps the Snake I was playing just wasn't quick enough.

Aren't there ANY grab releases on Snake? I realize that MU is supposed to be near even, but I always seem to get my but kicked and some new tricks would be nice...

Yeah, definitely MK. Other Characters like DDD are probably harder, but you're going to run into a crap ton of MK players. And you can't take any of them lightly because it's a tough MU.

Agreed. I was nearly clueless on which grab releases were actually possible until Kadaj took the time to share some info with everyone. Kadaj's strategy on countering MK's Mach Tornado may also be worth sharing here.

I never asked for a ratio, but I think we can definitively establish who has the advantage. I quite agree with what ppl like Hilt are saying. Olimar can force Snake to approach, and Olimar's got a lot of good options for dealing with it. Hilt also seems to be the only one willing to explain HOW...

Darn, I was hoping for a bit more info off this thread. Is the old thread outdated, or is the info there still good?

A grab release thread would be much appreciated. I'm always trying to grab release combo people and I can never seem to get the hang of it.

Man that really bites. I was hoping this would work. At least it could still scare the crap out of your opponent if he hasn't heard of this chain grab yet.

Honestly, the best way I've found to deal with Diddy is to get in his face and screw with his setups. Every time I sit back and try to find an opening, I get wrecked.
