Why other streaming platforms over twitch

Youtube has DVR functions (rewind live streams up to 4 hours) and gives out the quality selector to all users (Twitch usually restricts it to partners and high-traffic streamers only). If it wasn't for the fact that Twitch is already so entrenched, I'd probably be streaming on Youtube instead.

    Important Official Custom Moveset Project

Been out of the loop for a while. Have the official sets been updated since EVO? If not, are they ever going to be? We still occasionally run customs-legal events at our locals and I make sure that each setup has the official sets available, but if they're never going to change with the times...

Questions about Gamecube controller circuitry - wiring LED to button press

Yes, the idea is to test a Gamecube against a Wii U running a GCN game loader, plus a few other things I have in mind. As for your second question, I guess I'll find out.

Questions about Gamecube controller circuitry - wiring LED to button press

After discussing this with a friend, I think I'll go with the following approach: I'll wire a button/switch in place of the X button, with the LED connected like so. If I can't get a LED to match the voltage exactly, I'll wire the necessary resistor on the + line. Going to have to sacrifice...

Questions about Gamecube controller circuitry - wiring LED to button press

I need to wire a small LED to a controller so that it lights up at the exact moment when a specific button (either X or Y, preferably) is pressed or held. However, I'm a noob at electrical circuits. Can anyone help me with babby's first soldering project? So, here's the controller's circuit...

Q&A Official FAQ and QnA Thread - Ask Your Questions Here!

If SD functions in such a way that it's feasible to avoid the bombs entirely, then that's a good point and I'll change it. I feel that this is mostly an argument of semantics anyway, as the odds of having 2 games in a row end in exact ties is extremely low to begin with.

Q&A Official FAQ and QnA Thread - Ask Your Questions Here!

The Sudden Death rule is worded the way it is in order to be consistent with our Sudden Death rule for Smash 4. We used to run a more standard tiebreaker rule, but we had to change it due to a very specific circumstance. We once had a match where one player employed a very strong...

Q&A Official FAQ and QnA Thread - Ask Your Questions Here!

Melee is being added to a local tournament series that I help run, so I want to make sure that we have a solid ruleset. Does this look okay? (Is there a more appropriate thread for me to post this in?) http://docs.google.com/document/d/1B8G-bChAMLr2xsPNjP13aZIG4mLD704RAlUNh378xEo (Event link...

    Important Official Custom Moveset Project

When you're updating the official presets, you absolutely want to change the name prefix on every set on your 3DS, even if some of the movesets themselves haven't changed. This ensures that all sets are re-transferred to the Wii U without fail. If you don't change names, then there's a very real...

We need to revisit why FLSS is no longer being pushed-

FLSS is something that I feel works better in theory than in practice. I was for it until I saw stage-striking at our locals last up to a full minute among players who (rightfully) took it seriously. When the legal stage list exceeds 9 or more stages, I just prefer to keep the list short for...

I think Cool Hands goes down in that area but I'm not certain. Battle & Brew used to be the main venue for traditional FGC games a few years back, but then they relocated. They only recently started running FG events again, but now it seems like the various scenes coalesced around other events...

    Important Official Custom Moveset Project

I would rather alternate between no-customs and all-customs tournaments than ban specific customs.

I don't think that's an indicator of taking things more seriously.
