Why other streaming platforms over twitch

Why would someone chose YouTube or hit box or other streaming sites over twitch?

convenience and already having a youtube account lol. some youtubers hate twitch and see themselves as different.

Hitbox is mostly for PM at this point due to legal issues. But other than Etika, I can't think of a single person that does Youtube Gaming.

Hitbox has an amazing platform. Personal preference, but hitbox is great.

Youtube has DVR functions (rewind live streams up to 4 hours) and gives out the quality selector to all users (Twitch usually restricts it to partners and high-traffic streamers only).

If it wasn't for the fact that Twitch is already so entrenched, I'd probably be streaming on Youtube instead.
