  • Zelda theoy question I wanna ask you:

Link typically has one of the three triforce in him, yet in SS he had all 3 at one point...so does that make SS link the strongest? (Makes sense since he is the first)
Glad to be on the team. Im def. having a good time so far. I understand these may evolve into something completely different, especially when someone other than me you or brosuke replies XD. that said, ill definitely continue to brainstorm thigns and play off of everyone else.
Sorry to keep bugging you like this - you did say to check up on the commission. I'm still really interested to hear what the hubbub is.
Too dumb to know what you were referring to, but after a quick Google Search I have become informed.
Me again, just wanted to see what's up. Happy New Year.

I heard you talk to JOE! He's cool, but crude... :p
Man, I wish I was into painting, it sounds so interesting. Can't wait to see the results!
Hey dude, figured I'd wish you merry Christmas for tomorrow and see how you were doing.
    Yeah.
    gonna replay WW soon!
i bought metroid other M for $5 recently at best buy, which inspired me to FINALLY beat metroid prime 3... was alright but not amazing. i've had that game forever, but i just didn't enjoy it as much as 1 and 2...
    oh. it'll get better!?

i completed skyward sword in nearly 50 hours, i swear it's the longest zelda game
If I can still play it as well as I used to be able to, yeah, haha. I think 1:14 is my best time.
Oh, awesome! Yeah, I love that game, it's great that you're getting a chance to play it. It's actually been far too long since I played it...I keep trying to remind myself to run through it again and I keep forgetting.
So you don't play it anymore? I don't play it much, but that's mostly because I'm busy with other games, and running it on my slow laptop kind of turns me off.

    What happened?
That doesn't sound bad, actually. As long as you stick to the plan and have your usual flair at the ready, I can't see how you can go far wrong.
Oh, definitely. One of my favorite Metroid games, and games in general.

Did you just play it for the first time?
Hey Spire, just checking up to see if you'd made any progress on the thing.
Well you only asked for 99 rare candies, so the only way you can find out if 100 rare candies will fit there is if you get that first Rare Candy I gave you and put it in my bag.

Do it do it do it do it do it do it!!!!
Well your bag is full, so I'll just give you my bag.

    [collapse="Take Twinkie's Bag"]You got Twinkie's Bag!

Given to you as a gift by Twinkie from Smashboards City! It smells like mint.... Click "Show" to open the bag.

I don't blame you for forgetting - I had put the set on the backburner until I decided I just -had- to do it on a trip. And I am really glad to see you're so enthusiastic! I can't wait to see what you can do with the concepts - it is a character who I just can't get out of my mind when it comes to my making sets. I have to make this set and soon, or I'll just explode.

I'll be sure to keep in contact more. Onward and upward.
Hey dude, I'm in the process of making that FFX set I told you about. If you could get on that stuff I would be very happy about it. Thanks.
the zelda music cd is soooo good. i only just listened to it now, and still have 2 tracks to go.

SS is also good! i feel like i'm not even halfway through, and i have like >16 hours
Hah I must admit that sometimes I heat up in debate. I never have ill intent towards my opponents though, but I get way dense.
Huhhhh that's REALLY legit! I didn't draw that Zora connection at all.

I also thought about how every Sheikah that guides Link/Zelda has been called Impa or a variation thereof. I think the Sheikah work with titles instead of names.

I really want to know what happens to the Parella, because there's no way that they evolve into Zora's. The tadtones make a really good explanation. But the Parella might as well not exist this game =/ Hell, they're the only race with recycled models.
The kikwi also get almost no development. It's too bad. I can see them turned into Kokiri by the Great Deku Tree though. I think that Faron transforms the great tree into the Great Deku Tree before she dies, to give on the protection of the forest. It makes sense because (magical) trees are immortal in the sense that they can procreate.
The Mogma were actually made to have people notice the advancement Link makes in the dungeon. It was a proposal made by the female staff working on Skyward Sword. I really really liked it. Mogmas have a lot of personality.

I would've preferred if Her Grace had something to do with Ordona though, would explain the four light spirits a lot better =/

Also, a game using Skyward Swords engine and have it directly set after SS would be amazing. The engine is far from fully explored, and Ninty stated that they still had to exclude things from the game. This would save so much time and money, and would still be really legit. Gotta consider that between SS and OoT there are at least 200 years of time. This is needed for the Gerudo to establish that a male is only born every 100 years. There's plenty time to show the construction of Hyrule, the birth of races etc.

    /ramble on too long
The thing I feel that SS and Z1 shared in common is
    1. They both felt like they were really well thought out
    2. They both gave freedom yet a linear thread to grasp on to (SS more so than Z1)
    3. They both spoke to imagination (SS with its art style and Z1 with its limited artstyle)

They need to create something that spoke to imagination and was untouched. The world was new, most of all, there were no other humans.
Sounds legit! Don't forget to send me that stuff, okay?

Also check this article out; http://www.computerandvideogames.com/326026/features/how-adventure-mario-became-the-legend-of-zelda/

    Especially this:

    ----------
Walls that would crumble with a bomb blast; long grass that hid underground chambers; impassable waters that could be sailed with a raft; enemies that couldn't be defeated through brute force alone.
    ----------
It's that feeling that Zelda kinda lost after Zelda1 and regained with Skyward Sword. It's something I'd like to capture in a game sometime. Consider it if you're ever getting down to that map.
