There's the first "series" (in regards to newer episodes) with Chris Eccelston. This is a great "jump on" point, because it's not required to have seen the old show from the 70's.
And then watch onwards. They took a break this last year to build up their budget, because 2013 is their 50th anniversary of the show. But yes, there is and will be more. :D
Also, "series" is like "seasons".
