    Daggome, there is no convincing you., isn't there? :( If not, I will just drop it. I still believe that PGers have some way of knowing where they stand to become a PG, but I just can't think of one @ the moment :ohwell:

    Well, speaking of nominations, Omnicron should definitely be let in. For once, someone is debating the way I would prefer: State a question, pick a side, then defend your position. That North Korea thread is pretty well done.

    Oh, and since Killjoy told me to find somebody else to do this:

    Okay, read every single post in the DNT twice, and here were the problems with it:
    1. Off-topic ramblings
    2. Sometimes pointed attacks towards other members.
    Also, what voice does these non-debaters have in our thread? None. So, why should that influence your opinion on the DNT?

    In short: I think we should reopen the DNT, and you and the rest of the DH brass just need to crack the whip more whenever you see personal attacks or off-topic discussion. If the DNT does what it says, then it is of a high benefit to us, even more so than the Social thread we now have IMHO.

    And hopefully, the non-debaters didn't express their animadversions because they couldn't get in.

    Okay, aside from the number with Hooblah & GOD (apologies again for that), is there some other sort of elitism that I don't know of that happened in there?

    Also, I would like to give my two cents on what it's alternative should be--that is, if you want it...

    I will add one more reason for the DNT to be reinstated: Positive reinforcement.

    When I was about to pull my hair out wondering why I couldn't get into the DH, looking @ some of the kudos on my posts by the DHers kept my spirits up, and gave me the motivation to post more quality posts.

    Also, how else will a PGer know how they are progressing into becoming a debater?

    I think my first thread was a poor choice seeing that most people won't disagree with me which will make it inactive. I had just been reading stuff on the topic and it made me mad so I made a debate on it. I have debates I know people will disagree with me on but I was kind of scared to post one of those, people are going to attack me since it'll be one of the only new threads. But soon I will put myself out there and do that, you kind of have to as a debater.

    Compared to others, she lacks anything substantial, and she's been posting for about a week, if that.

    Others are way better posters, are more credible, but they aren't in yet.

    I have no beef, but this was just a pressing concern of mine.
