    hmmm? the difference in viability is fairly large as it affects what you have on your team

    for instance, if you choose mk you can only have 2 low tiers, which means that mk scrubs with no skill would get wrecked, but a good player would be able to use mk to devastating effect and be good enough to fill in the rest of that gap with 2 low tiers.

    the points is to balance out the game so that the old problem of low tier mains losing to high tiers who arent as good as them is somewhat eliminated.

    imo the best possible team under these rules is 3 mid tiers, and the metagame is meant to reflect skill overall.

    there were a few other point ideas I'm considering, let me get back to you on that.

    I also put work into my Falco and Mario way back when as well. Falco was my secondary from the start, and it didn't take long for me to realize Mario wasn't good enough to compete with (I still don't think he's low tier though). I naturally migrate towards good characters. In Melee, before I even got competative, I naturally migrated to maining Marth, and my brother naturally migrated to Falco, even before I knew anything about the game or Smashboards.

    I've been playing MK since the start of Brawl. He is my favorite Nintendo character, and I was going to main him after the trailer, and the only reason I even stuck with Marth is because Melee experience gave my Marth the basics it needed to pull ahead. As I began to feel more and more comfortable with Marth, MK fell behind. I wasn't technical at that time, so I kept making errors flying and stuff, so I just dropped MK because I felt my Marth was more successful. This was all before I knew MK was broken, or I would've just kept him and put in the work.

    the points thing was the whole idea though, its to balance the tiers out so you cant just spam ****, its 'a fun alternative that encourages fundimentals (being able to be good with multiple characters) and skill (winning with characters that arnt **** tier)

    Thanks for the info you gave me about options. I really appreciate it. How do you recommend if someone wants to be a top player @ this game(me lol)? I just seem to have a lot of trouble "reading" my opponents. I wish it was more natural, but it's not. How can I get better @ that and looking out for player habits?

    About a week after you guys left the states I found out and got to know my family in Melbourne so between them and your kindness housing should be set. I would definitely like to experience as much of Australia as I could in my time there.

    Most of our price figuring was at a glance. Flights so far range from $1200+. I'm not sure what would go on for housing and I haven't done research as to how much more expensive food and commodities would be in that amazing country o' yours. I don't know about Oats, but I work regularly and if I start saving now I should be alright. If you guys gather something up for someone who isn't M2K or Ally I'd much rather have it be supporting Havok. He can offer your community a lot more than I can.

    what's good man? I remember reading one of your posts about how more options = good character. I think you mentioned Sheik, and said that she was option rich. What do you mean by that? What are these so called options? Do you mean like MK has more "options" because he can up-b, aerial, and smash OOS safely?
