Download GCNcrypt Here!

The download should take approxamately... half a second. Then you just extract the file using Winzip(basicly just open the program you downloaded and double click on the file called "GCNcrypt.exe") and there you have it! Your very own encrypter/decrypter for all your Gamecube Action Replay needs!

But how do I encrypt the code?
First you insert the code in raw format on the left side, filling in the Xs with the desired values. Then you insert the game ID and the region and click "Encrypt". The encrypted and now useable version of the code should appear majestically on the right side. ie.

"Take damage modifier:downsmash when hit V1.2"

0408E244 38800040 l YEHD-2M6C-R8HZW
......................... l G9WD-DUHB-8AVBA
......................... l
......................... l
.............. _______ l _______
............. l Decrypt l l Encrypt l

Game ID: 0E2.... Region: USA

But how am I supposed to know what the Game ID is?

Simple. Where it says "Auto Identifier", you check the box next to it. Then you simply take any code for the game you have that's already been encrypted, put it on the left side, and click "Decrypt". The Game ID should fill itself in for you. Now if that sounds like too much work, then you're pretty darn lazy. But just incase...
Game ID:
V1.0: 004
V1.1: 0E6
V1.2: 0E2
PAL: 01E

But how am I supposed to know what region I'm in?
Usually I'd suggest a map, but those hackers thought of an easier way. When using the Auto Identifier, it fills in the region for you too. But if that seems too complicated, then you can go by this. If you can read this, you're probably using the USA version, if you can't, then it's probably the Japan version. Now if your region is PAL, then you should be able to figure that out yourself, seeing as how that's the version of your game.
this is as good as it gets.

Does anyone have an updated link for the GCNCrypt? I wanna use it but the link posted isn't working for me >_>

Also: I've heard it's possible to hack DUMMY to work and hack further to add kill borders to it, does anyone have the PAL codes and could post them here please?

And if anyone has like a converter to switch between regions, those codes for Mushroom Kingdom, Hyrule Maze and Trohpy Stages not crashing would be legendary.

Hope I haven't asked for too much. Thanks in advance,

BB.

-= Frequently Asked Questions: Debug Menu -=
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

What is the debug menu?

The debug menu is a special menu that the programmers used to test the game
and debug it (hence, the name "Debug menu"). Fortunately for us, they left this
in. This allows us to do everything they did when making the game, including a
great deal of options that are not normally available.

How can I access this debug menu?

In order to access the debug menu, just proceed through the regular menu and
you will end up at it(E.g. go to 1-P mode, then regular match, then click on
classic and the debug menu will come up). The debug menu is a small purple
screen in the top left corner with white text.

These are the Action Replay codes necessary to access the menu.

PAL Debug Master Control Menu
5DDB-FYJJ-8P4CA
47K3-GPZC-DBY82

How do I know which version of the game I have?

On the bottom of the disc there is some writing in a circle. Look for the part
that says DOL-GALE-0-0x. The last number will be either 0, 1, or 2. If it is
0, you have version 1.0. If it is 1, you have version 1.1. If it is 2, you
have version 1.2.

How can I control Master Hand and Crazy Hand?

In order to control Master Hand, there must be a controller in port 3.
In order to control Crazy Hand, there must be a controller in port 4.

More to come....

Okay: code request time:

Is there or are there codes to force poke stadium to stay in a certain version? I.E. Would it be possible to play an entire match on the Water or fire or grass version of PS?

Notes:

- Just because you start a 4 player match with 3 clones each doesn't
mean the gamecube has enough processing power to handle it! I made
3 clone codes because they're neat, but depending on which characters
you're using, the game may be really choppy or slow. Not really
anything we can do about that.
- For all of these codes, once the clone dies, it stays dead. (Mostly...
With the two or three clone codes, sometimes odd things might happen.
Actually,odd things might happen with all of these codes.)
- The "cpu clones that fight for you" codes mean just a character that
looks like yours that acts on its own as a regular cpu player.
- The "following your moves exactly" codes mean just that: both are
spawned at the same point and do exactly the same thing. It can be
hard to tell at first that you even have multiple characters.
(Wait a bit, the idle animations usually give it away.)
- Grabbing Bunnyhood, Mushrooms, Metal Boxes enemy or other items can
seperate the clones in exact copy mode.
- Grabbing a whacking item, will give you that Ice Climbers
effect of Combo 'ing
- If you get seperated you just run against a awall, if no walls
you can R<- or R-> if you're on the same ledge.
- Remember only one person can grab a ledge at a time!
- Using the Custom Hover Name Tag, highly recomended.
- If you die before your clone... with the exact following codes,
you come back with 0% and no lives lost, and it's just you alone.
(virtually twice the lives.)
- Fought Multi Kirby in Adventure and it froze.
- Fought against Zelda, she tried to transform and froze the game.
- Try not to kill more than 5 enemies at once, the game will freeze,
No bonus for 6 and higher.
- Ice Climbers HRC freezes.

Note to porters:

This is actually not as bad as it seems, if you can port one of these,
the other two of the same type should just be a matter of recomputing
some branch instructions, and the "cpu ally" vs "exact mimic" codes
are all identical except for the third line, and the change
(0x80 to 0x2A) should work for all the versions.

VERSION 1.2
Posing Characters
2AAM-WAY6-B9UMJ
UCRD-0YEB-Z6UKK

Of all the weird stuff codes, this one was the most requested. This code causes some odd effects to each character's animations. Basically...they don't animate very well at all. Its extremely funny. It is also very interesting to see characters in poses that wouldn't normally be possible. It also effects the match start and ending screens. What I find so amazing is that the game is actually playable like this. Oh and to all you perverts out there...please don't select Zelda with this code on. ;)

Version 1.1
Team Zelda & Shiek
EX9C-5ZX9-KP729
TP67-MVQQ-X776W

Version 1.2
Team Zelda & Shiek

Z8D2-R1HV-7DC9N
GH13-EGHD-VFH75
Q8UY-MX3W-J5HYT
6Q5T-6WK4-873P1

This code makes Zelda & Shiek act like the Ice Climbers, die as Zelda or Shiek and when
you respawn the other will be with you. They follow your every move.

Action Replay Central]After spending countless hours with this game, I've come across some pretty weird and funny codes. After many requests I decided to share a few of the safer ones. I haven't fully tested all of these codes for side-effects so use them at your own risk. These are for version 1.2. To see what effects they have just click on the code description. I hope you guys have some fun with these. ^_^

I have not read through this entire thread (79 pages) and I've been looking around at many different websites... my question is there any specific thread or website that is using AR specifically to make BtT videos, to try and match or beat the WR (NOT mismatched videos; I'm looking for each character in their own respective level.) can anyone help?

No, not that i know of, besides the two BtT in the beggining of PC2.

Also, search button is much faster than posting and waiting for an answer when looking through a 30 page thread.

EDIT: this was my former sig:

I think I can double post now. Since everyone ignored my original new thread, here it is again:

Similar to the Supernova Glitch (Youtube Video here), but with Super Ness, Super Ice Climbers and Turbo B Button code.

AR codes found here.
AR discussion here.

~~~~~~~~~
Action Replay codes needed:
-Super Ness
-Super Ice Climbers
-Turbo B Button for whichever Controller is Ness.
-IC Neutral B -> Bob-omb
For help porting that code, go to this post.
~~~~~~~~~

Step 1
Kill off the secondary IC, leaving just one. Easiest way is to roll to the edge, jump, double jump, then DI back so only primary IC grabs the edge, and secondary falls to his/her doom.

Step 2
Use Neutral B with IC. Grab this "bomb", then in some way throw it downwards.

Step 3
Position Ness about 2 roll distances away from the bomb, making sure IC is not between the two. Might as well just move IC away.

Step 4
Start holding* ->B and shooting PK Fire into the bomb. Keep on doing this, and you should get...

Then, after you keep on going for a second...

A split second later...

If you continue shooting, the frame rate seems to slow down. Not the speed of the game, but it seems like the game skips every other frame.

The whole thing won't last longer than a few minutes.

After a few seconds, the bomb will start flashing. That means it will disappear soon. (Note: this only sometimes happens. Sometimes something else occurs, explained later.)
Once it vanishes, there will be a PK Fire bolt...

...which does 100%+ damage.

In other (unknown) cases, after a few seconds, the Übernova will disappear, and the bomb will speed off going fairly fast, rolling on the ground. If this bomb hits anyone**, the game will freeze. Sorry, no pic of that.

*If the turbo code does not work at first, don't worry. You aren't doing anything wrong. Simply use a B button a bit, letting the code "warm up".

**By anyone, i have never had it run into IC. Never hit Ness before for me.

If anyone has a better name for this, feel free to contribute.

Amazingly stupid question here--

Where do I actually input the codes? I just got AR and can't for the life of me figure out where to put the **** codes. I put the AR disc in and get a list of games. There's nothing I can do to interact with the list but scroll through it or change countries. I select SSBM V 1.0. There is a whopping 1 code, and no option anywhere to input my own.

ZOMGHAXWTF.

I looked all over the place and couldn't find the answer. I think my AR is like third world bootleg AR.

I'm pretty annoyed at my Action Replay actually. I ordered one after watching Giga Bowser VS Master Hand vidoes, and infinate midair jumping Marios with rapid-fireballs. I was expecting this disk to unlock the way to a new level of fun out of Melee.

But when I load it up, all it has is a list of existing cheats. Really crap ones like "Infinate health", "All Trophies" and even "Press L,R,Z to set match time to 10:00".

This ISN'T a user defined code-entering, game changing experience. This is a free cheats disk you get in a bloody magazine.
Turns out that Datel, the developers, recently (at least for Eurpoe) removed the ability to enter your own codes, as it would possibly open a way of copying and "hacking" into game data, either resulting in unplayable games or pirate copies.
But that resulted in something else. Basically all value of this investment is gone. I have a FreeLoader, so I can remove reigon-locks on games. And it works with Wii aswell. But I never plan to import games, so you know...it's annoying.

NOT a happy customer.
Mine's even more useless. All I can do is unlock all characters. That is ****ing it.

**** you Datel.

No I'm telling you there's no option to input codes in my version of AR. They removed that feature for versions 1.20 and later. I have 1.20. I'm looking to get an older version off Ebay.

I heard it's possible to influence the characters movement and animations like in the Gamer Guild's RagnARok. Is it possible to temporarily change their movement to have them look like they are dancing like in a strange dream I had?

My AR is'nt really that good, as soon as I want to play something funny with AR , the whoole thing goes wild and I have to start over. Can you for an example, play VS on 1st adventure stage and finish it, with other words come past the Yoshis? I can't, but maybe it's impossible...

Actually to play in that level without it freezing you have to a special code which can be found at: http://arcentral.net/ssbm/SSBM.html and choose your versiion of the game and input it;)
