Introduction

Welcome to a world, where their is no 'Undo' Button.Where even the slightest mistake can lead to defeat. A world where dying means your dead, their are no 'extra lives'. One man dares to challenge these ways...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JHXmlX_eV88

Phoenix Wright: Trials and Tourneys! Wright knows that making one mistake isn't the end of the world. Making many mistakes can be, but screwing up once will not always end in defeat. He knows, he's had experience with plenty of screw ups. You can't despair over one defeat, you must keep trying!

The Bare Bones Basics

Trials and Tourneys is a tournament that differs from the norm. Instead of a single elimination or double elimination tourney, my second tourney will instead be a round robin tourney! Each participant will be put into one of two qualifying brackets. Each bracket with eight people. The top two people in each bracket will move on to one more bracket of four. That means you must play ALL the other people in your bracket, so you play at least seven matches.

Items?!
Due to popular demand, I have decided to remove items all together from this tourney. Items were the main focus in my last tourney, this tourney will not include them.

Stages

This tourneys stages will differ from my old one. Each player will follow the standard Counter Pick rules found in most tourneys from the following stages.

Neutral Stages:
Battle Field,
Yoshi's Island (Brawl),
Smashville,
Lylat Cruise,
Pokemon Stadium 1&2,
Corneria,
Temple,

Counter Picks:
Final Destination
Pictochat
Bridge of Eldin
Green Hill Zone
+All of the Above

The match
The match will be best of three brawls, first to two win. The first match MUST be played on a Neutral Stage that both players agree on. If you can't agree, play on battlefield. After the first match, play on the losers counterpick. Three stock, eight minute time limit. All characters are legal.

Prizes?
Yes, their IS a prize for this tourney. Granted, it is a relatively small prize. Just a custom stage based on another of Phoenix Wrights famous sayings!

This is not a normal tourney, I have stated this. I could care less about the normal rules, everything can change in the courtroom, why should the battlefield be any different?

Alright, why not? But I swear to god if you host another tourney about Phoenix Wright, I will personally punch your Lucas in the face. Lol.

Straked/Alex!/2621-5096-3365

Lolwut COUNTERPICK items? That'll make the match worse because either person can get them.
This tourney's over already. Fox and Sonic are gonna win.

Fix'd for ya. Granted that Captain Falcon is the greatest thing /of all time/, Ness will still win.

No he won't.

Ya know? I'm taking you to Smash Court! You're being sued for putting down my religion.

The Church of Ness and the Church of Falcon have been allies in the past. Then you come in here and pull something like this. Well Ness has had enough of this! He says that you overrate yourself. And that you need to stop putting him down, he's not that bad.

/end case you lose, judge says you swap neutral b's, and we get PK Pawnch. You get Falcon Plus.
lolzer.

Blankvi, if either one of us wins this, that'd be great. I'd like for Ness to finally get /some/ respect. But lol, nobody cares about an items tourney.

Dude, nevermind, I'm out.
No way am I playing a round robin with no real prize, 16 people, and items.

Can't take the difference? Updating in a moment. Anyway, either ban an item or don't. Not cp'ing the first five times will be fine, as their are not enough CP's.

As for my other tourney, It's doing fine. It's just about to end though. I figured it would take atleast until that ones over for this one to start though.

Edit, twice: Forgot to mention, any items remaining in the counterpick area after sign ups will be banned.

That's true to. But none the less, I don't have the money for a prize other than a stage, and god knows how no one would ever think an items tourney matters in the slightest. lol

I just think that the round-robin idea is awesome, but the items are a huge turn-off. I would gladly enter this without items, I think you should save them for a different tourney.

I will consider it, but I'm not sure. I rather like having items on. I'll sleep on it.

I'd have to agree. As much fun as it was in the last tourney, having to do it for 16 matches sounds like it'd get boring.

Depends on who I ask? Not really. Items ruin the competitive game. If you rely on them to win, you'd be better off playing siblings.

This really isn't your site if you insist on using them. :(

Really, I have fun either with items on or items off.

Secondly I'm not going to turn this into a items on or off for competitive brawling thread. I think theirs already enough of those.

Items aren't fun, if you don't like to lose, you turn them off. Besides. It's not a real match.

Because that's what this is meant to be. No items, single/double elimination, you know. A real tournament. Not this, lol.

Items aren't for tournaments. They're mostly just for friendly/casual matches. Not for a competitive environment.

But if you ARE going to have items, atleast look at the Item Standard Play plan, rather than just some random items.

Well, I must say.

This tournament's just like the court system. It's pretty screwed up.

>_< Wow.... That is wrong in so many ways....

1. Playing with items on is a SKILL. It takes PRACTICE just as much as playing with them off does.
2. Real tournaments? Whats that supposed to mean? Single elimination half the player's only get to play one match, double elimination, 1/4 of them only get to play 2. Round Robin everyone play's everyone else.
3. Items aren't fun? Okay, opinion to the max.
4. "If you don't like to lose you turn them off." X_X No. Just, no.

That's it, that's my last word on subject in this thread. Let's get back on topic please. IF you want to either pm me or point me out to another thread, I'd be more than happy to argue with you more Straked. XD

Actually, this is the EXACT Item Standard Play items.
