Reggie's new nickname: The comeback oversized kid.

I was MY GOD the best you can offer is a mario side scroller. I assumed Iwata was the last with the vitality.
My hatred turned to love when they said "and if you think that's the last Mario game, then you're wrong"
and then the Metroid blew me away. (I'll admit from the first clip in the video, I thought it may have been 2D, but after more clips I was like: "YES" Nintendo definitely showed us their moves.

No it didn't, but that's more a comment about how horrible she is than the game.

REALLY looking forward to this. Really funny too concidering the convo I had just before the conference.

Looks great. The clips of Samus fighting Ridley look fantastic.

Also guys if you watched g4, they said Retro studios was well at work on another prject.

And another time M was used was in Marvel Comics's House of M, which was an alternate universe.

☆ Not really much of a Metroid fan, but the gameplay got my attention. I guess I'm a bigger fan of the Prime series than the regular, so I guess it's because of that. ☆

Better not, since Samus's parents supposedly died at the hands of Ridley when she was really young.

If they do that, they'll change the current plot.

I love Fusion, so any relation to it = win.

Needless to say, as a die-hard Metroid fan I'm excited for this. I was hoping more for another handheld one...that's completely 2D...but, 3rd person, and (possibly?) 2.5D is pretty bad*** too.

agreed.
I was always hoping for a Fusion prequel Adam=awesome. I've always been curious on how they would elaborate on the Adam story past Fusion and then Bam! Other M is announced.
2010 is too long a wait tho.
Gameplay looks amazing
